The communication w the host was very good. The self check in instructions were clear and easy.
The bed was uncomfortable, it looked like a king but was actually two twin beds pushed together, with a gap down the middle, so it wasn’t the most comfortable. A few suggestions for the bathroom - provide a towel rack/hand towel near the sink, a bath mat for the tub/shower, and a privacy window covering/shade for the window. Provide Kleenex. Drinking glasses/bottled water would also be a nice touch.

Location
Overall dirty, ok after cleaning. slow response to messages, dismissed request messages completely.

The room was well decorated. The place is central. They sent an e-mail ahead of time explaining the mechanism of the check-in without staff, via keypads. Parking is easy.
The coffee was great, but the "breakfast" consisted of some granola bars etc. There is no phone in the room! There is no way or reaching staff, but I did manage to bump into one later. The hotel (now Lasalle B & B) changed names, but the new name does not correspond with the name on Booking.com.

No breakfast provided. We brought electric kettle and used fridge provided in room. It was chilly upon arrival, but electric fire place made it cozy.
Face cloth in bathroom had been used!! There were black with white embroidery that says "makeup". No sink stopper so I ran hot water over it to refresh my face that had no makeup on. I was appalled when I picked up the cloth and found someone else's make up smeared on the sink. Comparing the 2 face cloths, one embroidery was clearly not white and had absorbed make up and had not been washed. The other one the embroidery was white...it was clean.
Pulling back the blanket and top sheet I don't believe the sheets were newly clean for our stay. There were the tiny wrinkles pressed in from previous occupiers.

No breakfast! :)

Stunning place, quiet, close to everything.
The ONLY thing the place needed was a table beside the spa tub for my book.

Liked the coffee and microwave. Would have been nice to have paper plates, cups and plastic eating forks/spoons.
The shower. Closeness of bed to the wall. Stayed in the Foster Room, don't know if the room could be arranged different?

No breakfast provided
Shower leaked out onto floor since drain in shower was sluggish.
One thermostat controlled multiple rooms so others kept changing temperature.

The location was fantastic - we could walk to the convention center where our main activities were taking place. The parking onsite was also very helpful.
The noise, the noise, the noise. Oh my goodness, the street noise was ridiculous. Our room was on the front of the inn, and the street noise was awful. The bed was also less than comfortable, and that made my sleep even less robust. Finally, they had these weird fleece towels that didn't really wick the water away - it would be nice just to have some regular cotton towels.

Very relaxing and comfortable, just what my husband and I needed. The tub was absolutely amazing!! The location was perfect, right in the middle of the city. We live in Fort Wayne, but just needed a night away from everything without driving too far, and was exactly what we were looking for.
The donuts were stale. And that is being very nitpicky, everything was great!!

Location! close to everything we had planned, plus Starbucks is right there and that’s always a bonus! The bathroom/bathtub was awesome.
The outside really needs some work, paint and updating, just looks run down, but the inside was clean and beautifully decorated.

My wife and I stayed at this location 10 years ago on our wedding night and it was amazing. The elderly couple who owned the B&B took really good care of us.
Building was not secure when we arrived. All guest bedrooms were open. Nobody was on staff and the phone number for help went straight to voice mail. The B&B was located next to a drug rehab facility with vagrants standing around the property and surrounding area. My wife and I did not feel safe as anyone could have entered the property and the buildings. Zero security. not even working door locks.

The room was advertised as having a king size bed and it did not, it had 2 twin size bed pushed together

Easy access - great location - pretty room, coffee and snacks were appreciated.
More information on arrival - how to use tv, how to use the shower, the internet instructions were badly written and confusing. No cup for water in the bathroom. Cold - finally discovered the heating slug on the fireplace but never managed to get the room temp above 66. The Foster room right on the street - street noise is part of life. I had brought a white noise machine. Plugs badly situated and the multipliug wasn't working well. The desk chair was too low so actually working at the desk was not possible, unless a pile of pillows was added. TV - many seeming options yet many required a code or license number, Not helpful.

I loved that house! We stayed in the foster suite and it was so beautiful. The bathroom is fully updated with an amazing shower (be careful where you aim the heads). The common area shared with guests was like stepping into a time machine. If you like historic houses and decore this is the place for you. If you need technology this is not for you. They do have a few outlets in the bedroom and a older flat screen on the fireplace, but I love antiques and older furniture and My husband and I loved this place. We will be booking again for the holidays,
If your a guest that needs to smoke weed, don't ever stay there again. If nicotine smokers cannot smoke in any building then for the love of god why would you chose a HISTORIC HOUSE WITH ANTIQUE FURNITURE. Weed stains like nicotine. Take it outside. The house and staff were incredible, the guests that decided to smoke marijuana in their room, you are trash.

Location was perfect. Starbucks at rear of property tempted us for a quick breakfast
Deck and walk way into premises could stand a little sprucing up. Just a bit!

When we arrived we found a 1/2 roll of toilet paper. Smallest piece of soap ever for two people for two days is absolutely Ludicrous! No glasses or cups. Very mediocre experience. Will not recommend.

it was clean , quite , and comfortable and close to down town
did not have a remote for the tv

This did not include breakfast. It was nice but a bit dark , the bed was very comfortable and bath room fine.
We needed some kind of glass or paper cups in the bathroom. I borrowed a coffee cup from downstairs to brush teeth and take meds etc. We were in the queen suite and greatly needed a shade on the one window. Also directions for the TV would be helpful.

Lovely old Italianate building in downtown Fort Wayne. Lock system was outstanding for late check in.
There was a Salvation Army Center directly across the street with several rowdy angry-looking men standing on the sidewalk. It felt somewhat unsafe.
No hot water at 8 pm. I had been so looking forward to a spa tub bath after all day hiking at Chain O’ Lakes.
The bed was two single mattresses pushed or sewn together and if you role into the middle, it feels like you might fall down between mattresses.

It is hard to think that the virus justifies a breakfast that would make most bottom end, do it yourself hotel breakfasts look so good! The fine period home is so cobbled up; is it usual to make the entry through the rest room? Great location, but so commercial. Perhaps I was not expecting a Motel.
