Prima accomodatie voor een doorreis

Ontzettend vriendelijk ontvangst en een prachtig uitzicht over de vallei. Het appartementje was ondanks dat het vrij gedateerd is, super schoon en van bijna alles voorzien.

Meneer en mevrouw spraken alleen Spaans, waardoor het af en toe lastig was te communiceren. Maar Google Translate is dan zeker een uitvinding! ;) Daarnaast zijn de laatste meters om er te komen niet heel prettig. Heel smal en stijl! Maar met een 4x4 zeker wel goed te doen.

Schöne Unterkunft, sehr netter Gastgeber

Sehr, sehr netter Gastgeber!! Spricht kein Englisch aber mit Google-Übersetzer klappte es sehr gut 😃 Sehr grosses Bungalow (waren zu zweit, wäre für 4 Personen) selber gekocht und in der nähe kleine Restaurant. Gute Lage für den Vulkan Irazú

The best thing about this place are the hosts. they adopted us as part of their family, and we really felt like we were living with them. they are very knowledgeable about the area, and extremely helpful in anticipating all our needs. we are avid birdwatchers, and they brought in their son in law who is an expert bird photographer. at the same time, our room was private if we wanted it, and the birds in this property are very diverse. the kitchen had everything needed. the bathroom had a great shower.

the access road is a bit difficult and a 4x4 is recommended. Though there are good restaurants in the area, I recommend bringing food with you so you don’t have to drive it in the dark.

Perfect place!

We had a wonderful stay. Rolando and his wife were very accommodating and made us feel at ease from the first moment on. They even made us a tea with herbs from their own garden. The view from the balcony is amazing! However, the path to the villa is quite adventurous- especially if you are coming from Turrialba! A 4x4 is highly recommended. We extend our stay as we loved it there. We highly recommend staying at Villas Valle Bello!

This is an AMAZING place to stay and the staff are the ones who make it perfect! They are the real charm of the place, without them this place wouldnt be as welcoming and charming as it is! A huge thank you to both of them

The way there, there is nooooo way for you to get there if you dont have a 4x4, it is impossible to go by any other means of transportation or a sedan car

Rolando the caretaker and his wife are the friendliest of people. They really make you feel like family. The view from the villa is what is called a million dollar view. This may not be a five star hotel, or even a four star, but what do you expect for this money. We've stayed at such places during our trip in Costa Rica, but this was by far the best.

Nothing, but I do have a caution: Don't even try to get here without at least a small 4x4. You will damage your car otherwise.

We had a great stay with beautiful nature views, bird watching and a great host.

Beautiful place in the middle of the mountains, the roads are hard to get to, but the nature up there is reimbursing you with a lot of great birds with a view over The Valley.

The owner was the kindest person, came by and brought us fresh bananas from the garden. it was great to stay there on our road trip.

The location and views of the valley and mountains, the surroundings and the garden, the staff was so kind, lots of space.

The shower had little pressure that was almost impossible to have hot water: was either burning or cold. The road to access the villa is unpaved and in bad shape. SUV needed 100%, maybe even 4WD if rainy.

Amazing views and a very quiet place. Luis gave us recommendations for the area and let us use the kitchen/dining room to cook/eat. The road to get there was an adventure (rocky/muddy), but it didn't detract from the experience. Recommend an SUV and 4x4 is probably not required, but useful.

Some bugs/ants in the rooms, but probably expected in a remote place.

The location is difficult to reach, you definitely will need a SUV or 4x4 car. The road is narrow and lonely. I was traveling with my daughter and I felt a little afraid in the middle of a mountain.

Avoid at all costs!

The view and breakfast

1. No hot water 2. No WiFi (and owner didn’t notify me in advance of the breakdown) 3. Ice cold floors 4. Super old apartment, furniture and appliances 5. Difficult road 6. Nothing within walking distance 7. For 3 people they gave 2 towels and bedsheets for 2 beds only! 8. No reception. No one was expecting us upon arrival. Phone did not respond. Had to wait

Amazing view over the valley from the veranda (belonging to the room) and the terrace (where the breakfast is served). The beds very really comfortable and the staff was very attentive.

The whole room was pretty worn down, some modernization would do the place a lot of good. A table on the veranda would be useful.

Peaceful place in the country.

Great breakfast, there was a choice of waffles and fruit or Tico style, we got one of each and split them. Beautiful view, high on the hill and in the country. Friendly dogs, very secure. Peaceful location.

The road up was pretty rough so you need high clearance and traction. Cabin was pretty austere but was great value.

The facilities were fantastic. A warm, comfortable bed, hot shower, tasty breakfast, and best of all the amazing view...I was very very happy staying here and would return again if in the area.

The road was a bit treacherous (I am not used to 4wd roads)

Great Place

Very nice apartment with an ideal location to explore the Irazu volcano region. Nice accommodation, clean, big and very well equipped. Excellent and very kind host that served us a nice breakfast. We even got waffles after 2 weeks of only pinto de Gallo ;-). The drive up to the apartment is quite bumpy but no problem for any 4WD car. Don’t hesitate to book this great money value place with a fantastic valley view.
