The staff were amazingly kind to me, not only did they help me book the bus but the son gave me a ride to the station so I didn’t have to worry about finding a motor taxi at 6am! I also did a boat tour of the lake with the father and it was truly lovely, despite the barrier of language they were all so good to me! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a room with a view and to be surrounded by nature for a peaceful visit!

the host are great

Super friendly host family, really nice authenic feel to the place. Offered rental of bicycles and kayak for a good price, dinner was delicious and well located to explore ba be lake/area. Basic accommodation but clean and good value.
Nothing - just note you will need to communicate through Google translate if you do not speak Vietnamese, this was no problem at all though

Charming local family, rice fields view, mosquito net on the bed, enough toilet-shower combo (2 upstairs, 2 downstairs)
EXCELLENT dinner food
Breakfast: beware it's huge, 2 eggs banh mi + bananas
I didn't have a problem with it but you need to understand these are wooden houses not concrete hostels.
The sound carry through walls easily, my room was next to a restaurant and facing the dining room. Fortunately this area isn't about party so everything turns silent quickly.
Of course you will be woken up by the rooster early,

Road to get there is rough.

The owner was so welcoming and helpful. We arrived at 3 am and she accompanied a late check in. On top of this we planned to head to laos after our 2nd night here, but the owner informed us we needed a visa from hanoi to cross the border from Sapa. Because of this we had to hop on the next bus to Hanoi and cancel our 2nd night we had booked. The owner did not charge us for the cancelation and organized all of our bus tickets. Very helpful and understanding!

Spectacular place, very quiet with all possible services. The whole family is super nice, friendly and very attentive, I would return without hesitation. Good breakfast and dinner.

The team is very sweet, the bed nets are helpful since there are a lot os insects around.
The bathroom could be cleaner, also we had an amazing dinner (French fries, eggs and rice) but was very expensive if you compare with the price of the room (130k per person - which is more than what is written on booking).

Lovely homestay. The hosts are very nice and nothing is problem for them. We had really delicious meals. We especially enjoyed the freshly catched fish from lake and banana pancakes. The view is amazing. We had a private terrace with a view on the lake when eating.
We would enjoy if we were included a bit more in your social life. For example eating dinner together with the family would be really cool for us 🙂

a nice small homestay with honest people. the son knows some English and works very well with Google translate. can arrange anything you want or need.and a real homestay. not a big factory that calls itself a homestay.
unfortunately there is a concrete building in construction that is blocking the perfect view towards the lake.

Fantastic hotel and authentic experience. The view is mind-blowing and the host is very kind and attentive. Great local food freshly cooked.

Beds were comfy with mosquito net and thick blanket; free hot and cold water; very friendly staff (poor English, but they did their best); very tasty food; free towel; free parking; nice view from balcony; shared kitchen
The bathrooms were a bit dirty (spider webs and spiders); food was a bit expensive (100k for lunch or dinner), although very good
