The only good thing was the spa and especiallly the massage. Both of them were really skilled and friendly. The spa was very lovely.
This was an absolute dissappointment. Truly negative experience. We were expecting a luxury 5 star hotel to recharge. The receptionist was very unwelcoming and didnt help at all when we wanted to book a massage. Nobody offeres to help with our bags. The room was very basic, maximum 3 star, nothing aesthetic or luxurious about it.the hotel needs some serious refurbishment. Even the bottle opener was just a piece of easily breakable plastic... The food was the biggest disappointment after the amazing reviews. The waiter spoke in a confusing manner with poor english. He tried to help but there was nothing on the menu without dairy in it. Eventually they prepped some chewy meat and unsalted baked potatoes for us...
At checkout they never asked how our stay was....
And we paid about 2x the originally extremely expensive price due to 4 drinks and 2 massages and a parking. Costing over 600euros for 1 night for a really unpleasant experience.

Good choices for a breakfast, comfortable beds, very nice wellness.
The room was cold, even though set to 24C. It was no way to heat up the room. In the bathroom we only got 2 hair conditioners but no shampoo.

Quiet area, separated from other hotels. Spaceous and clean rooms, great swimming pool and sunbathing area. Breakfast. was excellent.

Hotel is nice and clean.
No staff in the pool area. You have a menu on the table but no staff to assist you. Only one sauna was working.
The waiter at the bar was looking at us and forcing us to pay our bill at 21:45 because he is closing up the bar.
This is not a 5-star service.

On arrival, the Hotel Atlantida presents as a high-end hotel, with an impressive entrance, foyer and reception area filled with quirky colourful armchairs. The reception staff on each occasion were polite and helpful and talked us through the access to the parking (€10 per night in the hotel garage), the pool area (conveniently on the same floor as our room which proved very handy) and issuing us with vouchers for welcome drinks from the bar.
Our room was very nice indeed - spacious, well-equipped, with robes, slippers and towels all provided for use in the pool area. There was also a minibar (which we didn't use). The bathroom was very nice - huge bath, separate shower and very spacious. All very clean and nicely presented. The room had its own balcony overlooking the front of the hotel with plenty of room for two to sit out on.
The swimming pool complex is very nice indeed, with a 20/25 metre pool, jacuzzi, Finnish sauna (Americans beware - no costumes worn here, but you can protect your modesty with a towel if you must) and plenty of recliners indoors and out.
We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and, whilst the food was good and plentiful, the set-up of the service, which is partly self-service, felt less hotel and more cruise ship. However, we left the table on both occasions feeling well fed and having enjoyed our meals. The bread was especially nice...!
Rogaška Slatina is very much a spa/resort town, and feels as much. Lots of big hotels, an interesting history of wellness/spa activities and an interesting and very well-presented little museum directly across from the hotel (with a discount voucher available from reception).
Whilst the hotel describes itself as a 'boutique' hotel, I think there may be a difference in interpretation here. My understanding is that a boutique hotel tends to be small, quirky, with rooms uniquely furnished to a high-end design standard. Whilst very attractive in a corporate sort of way, Hotel Atlantida is not a boutique hotel in the true sense of that description, but a fairly shiny and slightly generic four-star hotel, which was a little disappointing, having expected otherwise.
In terms of the restaurant, when we arrived for dinner there was no-one to show us to a table which felt initially confusing in a hotel where it seemed as though that should be the standard. In the end I asked a waiter and was told to pick a table and sit where we wanted, but it felt like they were missing an important touch of welcome. Maybe it's a cultural thing... Similarly, since the starters and desserts are self-service, buffet style, the waiter's task is to take orders for the main and for drinks only. The net effect of all of this was that it felt like we were on a cruise ship rather than in a nicely appointed hotel restaurant. It wasn't always easy to catch a waiter's eye when we did need something - some of them seemed particularly well-skilled in that well-known school of eye-avoidance...!
As I said above, the food itself was nice, although once we had picked up the cruise ship vibe it was hard to shake it off. It was the lack of personal touch in the restaurant that made the difference between what could have been a really nice standard of hotel and something that felt just a little impersonal.

Nice hotel but not 5* and definitely not dog friendly:(
The available service package should be modified as soon as possible so as not to mislead the guests!

Very new and very clean hotel, good sauna and city center is near. Good playground and little hill near for kids to ride slays.
A bit poshy atmosphere, restaurant is too pretentious, even though it is obviously not bad.

Location and building is nice.Wellnes is clean and quiet.
The service is horrible. Personal is allways disappeared , so the reception desk and bar in the hall was without personal. The breakfast and dinner as in the bad 3 star hotel. The sheet was full of holes, which was exchanged when we complained about it.

it's a great 5 star hotel, it has everything you need, decent size rooms, cozy lobby, spa, super friendly stuff, respectful and attentive. We will definitely come back, and bring our parents too :)
nothing - all was great!
