Really nice hotel with a lovely garden near the river, fantastic location and rooms to high standard
Very expensive dinner in the garden which was clearly warmed up frozen ready meals (kitchen has 5 microwave ovens !).
Too many quirky restrictions such as don't drink the water, no cases on the bed, take shoes off at hotel front entrance etc

This was the best stay of our 2 weeks in Europe. Only wish we'd planned more than 1 night. The dinner was delicious. The outdoor garden patio was a great place to relax and dine while our kids ran in the grass by the river. The owner and her husband were delightful, making great recommendations - from local drinks to the best after dinner walk around town. The family bedroom exceeded all my expectations - we felt like royalty with the cleanliness, comfort, and beautifully designed space. There was room to relax, play, and eat in the room so we didn't feel stuck on top of each other or like all we could do was fall in bed.

The location.
A lack of generosity on the part of the owner. Certainly not prepared to put herself out.
Small portions and high prices.
A commercial attitude as opposed to a demonstrated pleasure in hosting. Why work in the hospitality business?

Nice location near the Seine

Excellent location on the rIver in picturesque village. Bed and bedroom were comfortable.
With no other restaurants open on the evening of our stay we opted for a meal at La Villa Alienor. It was quite simply not up to standard and not worth the cost. La Villa is probably more suited to afternoon teas than evening meals, and the drinks were far too expensive.
Although free internet is advertised there was rarely any connection.

Nice garden but just felt all could be so much better. Effort to make the room nice had been made but it lacked any soul.
As it was a Sunday evening, restaurants locally were mainly closed so we ate at this hotel. I had risotto, it was awful. It came only 5 minutes after I ordered so it can’t have been cooked from fresh and like no risotto I have ever made - I didn’t eat it. Dessert of tarte tatin was nice. River cruises on the Seine stop right outside the back garden.

Les Andelys is lovely historic town. La Villa Alienor is a pleasant place to stay with very welcoming hosts.

The hosts were able to accommodate a last-minute reservation due to a change in our schedule.
Wifi connection didn't work.

Comfy beds and the location ruined by the terrible host.
ATTENTION! The communication with the owner was offensive. We were met with reluctance. Once the host learned we were from Eastern Europe, she was visibly displeased. She even implied we would contaminate her beds with bed bugs and she physically removed our bags away from the beds. Later, she was visibly annoyed with even the sight of us. When we couldn't open the gate, she pretended not to see us while all the visitors watched. On top of that, they require all guests to remove their shoes, which left the hallway extremely smelly. I would describe the style of the establishment as tacky and cluttered with unnecessary and unclean decor.

Breakfast was nice with fresh croissants. Room was pleasant and clean.
There was a fair directly behind the property which made it less tranquil but that is obviously not the fault of the property.

Location was fantastic overlooking the river Seine. The gardens were beautiful and my room was very large, clean and comfortable.

Only the location.
Patronising hostess. Dark depressing room with sub-standard furniture. Toilet separate to bathroom with no hand wash facility. Dangerous sharp edges on broken fire surround.
Bad wiring on bedside light.

Very Beautifull & calm
Very kind staff
6.7 / 10.0
The location and the friendliness of the owner.
Facilities were poor, only one small hand towel between the two of us, door knobs that have come loose, fixed with nails sticking out, a shower head that doesn’t stay up so ended up having to hold it, the hand soap empty. I felt the room was definitely not worth the money.
