Buena ubicación
La zona tiene muchas personas indigentes
4.2

4.2
O clima dos hospedes
As festas do hostel

4.2
Location is nice. Right next to Arcos da Lapa and 3min walking to Escadaria Selarón. Also several bars and restaurants close by. Even at night time you can walk outside to/from the bar area.
The rooftop bar is quite fun and frequently visited by outside customers. So you can get a glimpse of Rio's nightlife even without leaving the hotel.
Big issues with cleanliness. It was simply dirty at all common areas. Rooms are better in terms of cleanliness and bathrooms are quite new/clean, too. Still the dirt in the other areas doesn't make you feel relax and comfortable.
Stuff is quite useless. Friendly on the first sight, but if you need something, you are on your own.
4.2
Close to downtown, easy access to the main areas
When I got there I found out that booking.com put me in a shared room (up to 8 people). However, nothing was mentioned on my reservation. I had to pay extra money to change the type of room I'd be in.
4.2
The location is convenient to visit downtown Rio or US embassy. The room is fine with nice shower. we found a few hairs in the bed sheets, but it’s to be expected for this price.
kitchen is filthy with dishes piling up for two days, dirty microwave, greasy tables. The breakfast took 1.5 hours to be served and was completely cold - probably two day old omelette and some fruits. We decided not to risk another food poisoning in Brazil and did not eat it.
4.2
Comfortable room, relatively clean, except for the damaged floor.
Floor was damaged. Not a big problem, but not pleasant either. Aircon VERY noisy.

This place is falling apart

Loved Debora at the front desk, not only is she friendly, she’s also attentive even during people checking in and out en masse all day every day. All the other staff are great too, most understood basic English but would definitely help if you speak Spanish or Portuguese
At times the food could be a little on the pricer side in Rio even though the dishes are usually flavourful, the team are amazing with food and service, but occasionally the service staff are serving a lot of people so there is usually a semi long wait for food and service.
4.2
The hostel had a great ambience, in a lovely old building. The room was good. Location was perfect, just round the corner from the Seralon steps and close to the tram stop to Santa Teresa. We found a good vegan restaurant just nearby. This is definitely a party area, with lots of people enjoying the music and partying.
We used the kitchen, but the facilities were not very good. There was only one or two knives, forks, not many plates and a few saucepans. Also, it was not very clean. Most people seemed to have breakfast in the on-site cafe though.
4.2
The building is very beautiful, new and well decorated. The rooms are very comfortable. Be able to party on the roof top with DJ's and the ideal location compared to the surrounding bars👌
A receptionist was not friendly or very competent, the kitchen equipment was disappointing because no cup or good kitchen knives, the card system has bugged several times.
4.2
great location
bed was too much noisy and room had a smell as if the room was closed for too long.
4.2
The people are just awesome! The service was 10/10. The lobby is great, bar is good, rooftop is nice, all shared areas are pretty good. All good but the rooms
The room, and specially bathroom, were a mess. Everything is thin, beds, floor, walls.. so you hear noises and and the light comes through everywhere. The bathroom didn't have hot water, was not cleaned daily and the soap and shampoo were not refilled. Also no tawells etc. I not it's a hostel, but they gotta do better
4.2
I liked the facilities and the atmosphere in the common areas, plus the nights with DJs on the rooftop. Breakfast was good.
I did not like the rooms. I tried two of those shared rooms and they smell like mold, even the bed curtains were visibly full of mold in room 101. The air is dense, and the AC is not enough to refrigerate the entire room (room 108). They also only give you a sad sheet, there is no comforter. Plus the bathroom was very dirty. It’s a very expensive and we’ll known hotel, they should work on improving their rooms instead of just focusing on external appearances. It was very disappointing in that sense, and I will never come back do Selina Lapa.
4.2
The location and staff.
The loud music from the roof top till late at night.
4.2
Amazing place. Very beautiful. They have a library, room for watching cinema, bar in the top floor with the great view on the city, place to work, small garden inside. The breakfast was good and nutritious.
4.2
the Style and accommodations are pretty nice
you will not be able to go to bed before 11pm as the Rooftop has activities up until that time and it’s pretty loud. but you can go to the rooftop and enjoy too!
4.2
Good location to see Lapa etc..
Administrator's friendly
Other stuff don't give a ... about you.
Rooms not clean also bathrooms 50/50
4.2
Interesting vibe, cozy courtyard area.
No safety box in room.
4.2
Great staff, right next to all the nightlife. Nice rooftop.
4.2
the location
the staff wasn’t really helpful
4.2
Excellent facilities and location.
4.2
The location was good. BUT THE SISTER PROPERTY, is like a slice of heaven.
dirty! dirty! rooms and bathroom filthy! they never refill soap in shower, no soap for hands in rooms. beds dirty, dusty and outdated. Health dept should close them down! the staff is kind of rude.
