Nice and cozy

The decor of the inn was very homey. We stayed at the suite. The room was very clean and cozy. Plenty of space for us to relax and put things. Homemade chocolate chip cookies were a good welcome touch. Made to order breakfast was great and delicious. Shirley and the staff were very nice and helpful.

The staircase to the second floor suite was a bit high and steep. The bed was little small for two people and could be sturdier. The breakfast could have more selection like the pictures on their website.

We needed a place to stay on very short notice, and The Nutmeg worked out great, highly recommend!

Breakfast was awesome. I had eggs and toast. The portion sizes were perfect, and I didn't feel stuffed after I finished eating

Very friendly staff but the rooms could do with modernising.

Very friendly welcome. Plenty of space to relax with honesty bar offering a good selection of drinks (though we didn’t use it) and tea and coffee available 24/7. Good breakfast with varied options. Friendly staff.

The bedrooms need refurbishment. We could see that they had been painted but not much else, and that paint was peeling off in places. The heating system makes a lot of noise when it starts early morning. It woke us up! The carpets were quite old and stained around the skirting area. There was an oversized fireplace in our room which took up a lot of space and had a raised stone hearth that caused a trip hazard and possible injury. The shower in the ensuite was dangerous. Both my son and I burned ourselves and had to leap out. The water took ages to heat up and then suddenly was boiling. No warning written on the shower and no safety stop on the controls. I would suggest updating as soon as possible and, for now, explaining how to avoid injury. The skirting radiator in the bathroom was rusty.

The Nutmeg is a real jewell of a small New England inn. The breakfasts areparticularly outstanding.

Hosts were friendly, helpful, gave us lots of information. Breakfast was outstanding - delicious food. Great way to start the day. Room was comfy.

Owner was warm, welcoming and engaging. Allowed us to check in earlier which was a huge bonus for us and we greatly appreciated it. The place was super clean and inviting

Exactly what you would hope for in a Bed and Breakfast in Vermont. Great staff, amazing breakfast!

The breakfast was amazing. We loved the firepit at night. It was just a perfect cozy location for a fall get away.

Appreciated all little extra touches and details in room and around the house. Everyone we came in contact with was welcoming, friendly, pleasant. Breakfast offered tasty options, was served promptly. Bed was vety confortable!

Charming b&b close to downtown Wilmington, VT

Beautiful old building, charming, lovely interior design, comfy common seating areas. A la carte breakfast included in room rate and was of high quality and made to order. Very nice staff. Close to the main road, but very quiet. Comfortable large bed. Homemade cookies waited for us in the room when we arrived. A very thoughtful touch :-)

A bit outside of Wilmington, yet only a 2 minute drive. Our room got a bit cold, as we were only there to sleep, we didn't ask for help with the heating to be fair.

overall very pleased and would recommend to others.

Quiet, well maintained and clean. staff was very friendly and made accommodations for us outside the normal hours. excellent place to stay and breakfast was exquisitely prepared. I would definitely book again.

Not very good

The room was not as advertised. The windows did not open, the central air conditioning was not working. The facility staff did install a window a/c although for the size of the room it became very noisy. The towel bar in the bathroom was missing and we had to request soap in the bathroom. Also, the carpet was extremely worn and needed replacement. Usually I rely on “bookings.com” for their recommendations, this completely missed the target!
