Wir hatten als Familie zwei Zimmer. Eines in einem neueren Komplex gegenüber der wenig befahrenen Straße sowie ein Beachfront Apartment. Beide Zimmer waren zweckmäßig eingerichtet und haben unseren Ansprüchen genügt. Von den beachfront Zimmer hat man einen tollen Blick auf das Meer und kann sehr schön auf der Terrasse verweilen.
Das Personal war äußerst freundlich und immer hilfsbereit.
Anzahl der Liegen am Strand waren sehr begrenzt.

The location being right by the beach was incredible, and the pool was amazing. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. Our room was super clean and spacious and we just felt very comfortable staying here. We rented a scooter easily from the front desk and enjoyed exploring the island.
The only thing that was a bit annoying was how there weren’t cushions laid out on the sun beds on the beach, and even after asking a few times I didn’t managed to get any. Would be much better if they were all just fitted with cushions at the beginning of the day, or if staff see you lying on them without then they should offer to you.

Das Baanfah Resort ist ein sehr schönes Hotel mit sauberen Zimmern, tollen mitarbeitenden und einer wunderschönen Lage direkt am Stand. Die Zimmer mit direktem Strandzugang sind wirklich toll und absolut ihr Geld wert!
Der Außenbereich zum Meer hin könnte noch ein wenig liebevoller gestaltet sein.

Если вы планируете отдыхать на Маенаме, то это топ отель, берите не думая. Причем лично для меня номера у сада были гораздо лучше и атмосфернее, чем у бассейна или моря. Эти 3 звезды ощущаются как 5. Я сейчас переехал на другой пляж, где также 3 звезды, это просто небо и земля, хочется назад 😅 Персонал очень приветливый, постараются сделать все, что в их силах, чтобы вам было ок
Единственный момент, что сложно было настроить нужную теплоту воды, то она слишком горячая, то слишком холодная. Пожалуй это единственный минус, но это не критично за такой отель в целом

The location, the staff, the peace, the view from the breakfast/ restaurant area. They always gave you 2 free bottles of water every day. I needed a very strong WiFi for work and they kindly upgraded me for free to another room. I could not fault this place and will definitely go back, I miss it already, it felt like home. I would like to thank Pen the receptionist who went out of her way to accommodate me & make sure everything was perfect. Also, big thanks to Tu the girl from the restaurant/ bar ( I hope I said your name correctly.) And thanks to the lady cook ( I think her name is Pem) , all very hard working people but always smiling. I wish you all the best till next time 🙂
Nothing. I would like to just suggest to consider adding a vegetarian breakfast option to the menu. Also, a Do Not Disturb sign on the doors, if at all possible 😀

This is one of the best beach spots in Mae Nam with a view on Koh Phangan. I think this is one of the best beach venues on Samui - quiet and not overwhelmed by tourists and hotels (totally unlike Bo Phut or Chewang). Wonderful, clean beach. Great sea. Sandy bottom without any stones or rocks ideal for swimming or just dabbling in. Ideal for a 3-week stay on the island. Cosy hotel totally rebuilt. Spacious rooms. Everything is new and fresh. Spectacular, beautiful tree gives a natural shade for sun bathers. Wonderful sea view. Sea front balconies give a lot of privacy. Extreme cleanliness adds to pristine crystalline ocean colour, calming the eyes and soul. Daily housekeeping with towels change. Very helpful and friendly stuff. Special thanks to Mr Pom, Mrs Rita and of course to Ms Mause - you made our days whenever we met you at the breakfast - Khob khun krub ;). Very good value for money. I totally agree with the opinion of Cordelia.
Breakfast might be varied a bit (oatmeals, yoghurts etc.).

There was just 2 towels, no small towels
No bedside lamps in the seconds room
We had to ask for a second pillow as the one was too thin
They split our 2 rooms far apart (not next to each other as a family)
There was a drain smell in the room
We couldn’t put any other expenses on the room, even at the resort bar, so constantly needed to use only cash (a bit uncomfortable as a once off payment at the end will be most valuable)

The location is fantastic it's right on the beach. If you want beach front try to get a sea view room or the beachfront room. The have some which are ground floor and some which are above that.
*PLEASE READ*
There is a lovely gentle brown dog who hangs around there. He likes people but not so much other dogs. If you like dogs, you can get some small treats in the pet section at 7/11 and give them to him. He takes it from you so gently and loves a gentle pat.
The breakfast was fantastic. Not that much on the buffet but you can order food off the menu for free if you have breakfast included or if you've paid for breakfast then you can order what you want from the menu. The pancakes are the best I have had in Thailand. You can tell they are cooked fresh whereas a lot of places just microwave bought ones. They do eggs however you want too.
The grounds are kept nice and neat and clean. They wash down any sand thays around the property in the morning.
The rooms are very aesthetically pleasing and have a beautiful view if you are on the beach:
Staff were absolutely lovely especially the young lady working on the bar in the day.
Location is amazing as it's in the best beach in koh Samui but you're also close to lots of nice shops, fisherman's village is just a short drive away , coco tans which does an amazing fire show every night isn't far away either.

The beds were pretty hard. I didn't mind too much but it definitely would have made the stay better to have more comfy beds. Unless you really need a soft bed to sleep in I wouldn't let this put you off.
There were some ants around the room but I guess that is hard to control. They were the tiny ones and not there after room cleaning I think they just find their way in through cracks in the day.
The shower drainage is not great, at least in our room. I would put the dry foot mat outside the bathroom so it doesn't get soaked when you shower. A bit annoying having a wet bathroom floor but again not a deal breaker.
The balcony door in our room didn't lock. We were on the upper room and it is a safe area but for me I only really feel safe unless I'm properly locked in at night. I told the manager Mr Pom. Initially the communication from the hotel wasn't great. No one told me the engineer had been and couldn't fix it. I asked about changing rooms and no one got back to me until the day after. They offered free breakfast for this as compensation. I felt a nuisance ringing / asking about the door. In my opinion if something like that happens, the guests should be offered a different room. I am also aware someone was checking into the room the day we left and the door was still not fixed. I think it should be communicated to the guests before them staying in that room that the door doesn't lock and check they are okay with it.
Overall I wouldn't let these negatives put you off. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Have not tried the restaurant but just across the street you find a good thai place and great coffee down the street. also good gym closeby if this is what you are looking for. beach is quiet and there are plenty of sun loungers. extended my stay because I liked it
little renovation work ongoing during my stay, but nothing too disturbing and looks like it is going to be finished soon.

Excellent beach location. Maenam Beach is one of the best,very clean with rough sand which doesn't get everywhere. Room with sea view was great size and very clean. Top shower performance and beautifully cleaned daily.Location is great for numerous restaurant choices.

Hotel: small clean complex. Very clean pool and pool area, everything around the pool has been cleand daily; there was a small stand on the beach led by the hotel with drinks (smoothies, fresh coconut, Coke). The hotel is currently under construction, so during our time in April there was a small construction site next to it, but it was not really noisy.
Room: We had a room directly on the beach (we only had to walk down three steps to the beach). You could see the sea from the bed, but as the terrace was a bit higher, no one could walk right past our room and look into it; the room was simple but adequately furnished. The bathroom was large. Towels for the bathroom and for the beach were also provided. The towels were changed daily and two bottles of water were provided per day. Everything was clean. The air conditioning worked great and was not too loud.
Breakfast: it is very simple (toast, jam, choice of egg and fruit). It tasted good, so you can do it, but you don't have to. There is a restaurant directly opposite where you can get a very good English breakfast at a very reasonable price.
Staff: Very friendly and polite. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and you could get tips for restaurants and travel.
Location: If you are looking for a quiet sandy beach, this is the perfect place. No stones on this part of the beach in front of the hotel (which looked a little different in one direction or the other). Hardly any people there, so always quiet in the evening. It was only 5 minutes to the main street, in between there are many restaurants, which were also full in the evening. Mainly German and Polish people in the area. A lot of 7-elevens around as well as restaurants as well. Recommendation: visit Bao Bao. Really nice team and amazing food. If you like coffee, there is a tiny coffee shop on the first corner from the hotel to the main road. They have a really good machine and offer Americano, Thai coffee, cappuccino and so on.

The location of the property is close to tourist attractions such as fisherman village. Quiet accommodation and has a clean beach and have privacy. In addition, it has the comfort of a strong water accommodation, soft pillow, comfortable sleep And most importantly, the highlight is the friendly and helpful staffs.

Nice room located on the beach with a beautiful view.
There was an extremely sick dog (looked like it had huge tumors all over) that was connected to the hotel. It was in a really bad condition and it smelled SO bad with flies around / on it at all times. It was often laying on our terrace, which made it completely unusable due to the smell. When it passed our sunbeds on the beach, the stank kept hanging in the air several minutes after. We complained to the staff on the first day, but they said they weren’t able to do anything as the dog was ‘left here by tourists many years ago’ - we saw the staff feeding it and giving it water, so it must be their responsibility. Finally, we are both dog lovers, so our hearts ached with pity for the dog - it would be more humane to put it down.

The room is very spacious for 2 adults and 2 kids. Really love the location just off the beach. Kids can go and play as soon as they are awake. There are eateries, a massage place within walking distance as well. The staff are friendly and ready to help all the time. Definitely return to stay again.
The bed is rather hard, and there is construction still on going within the property. There are no lights on the walkway to our room. Breakfast is a bit pricey. We only ate 1 day during our stay.
