Me gustó la tranquilidad que había , el servicio , y poder ponerte tú lo que quieras y apuntarlo . La playa al lado muy recomendable

Los Caspios is an old quirky hotel situated outside La Isla. It's appeal is for certain type of clientele with transport options to get them there and access local restaurants etc.
We paid extra for a room with a sitting area with views to the sea and mountains. It was a nice place to sit and relax.
The kind staff provided us with food because we were pilgrims and there is no restaurant in the hotel or nearby. This was much appreciated.
I would have preferred to have more facilities I.e. a restaurant and a bar. There is however an honesty bar.

Der Blick auf das Meer, die sehr geschmackvolle Ausstattung und das sehr gute Frühstücksbuffet.

Really beautiful estate in a perfect location
Very noisy, as all rooms lead out to common spaces (depending on the guest there at the time of your stay, this can create a lot of noise). Could here word by word conversations intil late and again from the early morning. I also found the staff and other guest to be less friendly than expected (by no means a causal atmosphere).

Staff i.e. Sylvia excellent. Nice quiet old style manor house. Bar area and self service a nice touch. Lovely breakfast.

The setting was gorgeous, with a mountain back drop. Very quiet, hardly anyone there including only 1 staff member who was not around much .
Amazing huge communal rooms with an honesty bar , huge hunting rooms. Very cool
Room was huge with like a conservatory room attached. The best hot showers ever . Met an amazing danish couple - they made the trip even better !!!
The pool was closed which was annoying as it’s the only reason we booked, also got charged to have a late check out which considering how quiet it was, I thought it was a bit mean.
Need a car or walking min 20-30 mins to get anywhere .
Told breakfast was included then asked for 20 euros.

This is an elegant hotel in a beautiful country location. Our room was nicely furnished, clean and comfortable and the facilities functioned well. The common rooms are lovely, really quite elegant, the stone walls beautifully decorated and furnished comfortably. The terrace has views of both the coast and mountains and was a relaxing place to watch the sunset. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with lots of delicious options. The hotel is close to the Camino del Norte.
While drinks are available, restaurants are a 15-25 minute walk or a short taxi ride from the hotel, the hotel being located between La Isla and Colunga.

lovely rooms, beautiful living room
Description highlighted the swimming pool but this was not open on a hot day last weekend in April. Reception was unmanned after 9pm. Checkin was very inefficient. No food available at night.

Lovely comfortable hotel in a beautiful area. Sylvia was so friendly and helpful and could not have been more welcoming. La Isla beach is so pretty, and the small town of Colunga town is great too.
Everything was great. Pancakes and homemade cakes at breakfast went down well with my travel companions, my only suggestion is that it would be good to see more healthy options such as fruit and muesli.

Fine location; beautiful views. We were given a fabulous room!

We liked pretty much everything! Our arrival as pilgrims having walked through torrential rain was greeted with concern and care, and every possible effort to make us feel welcome and comfortable. An extra meal was laid on and a dip in the pool allowed. The room was perfectly comfortable and the hotel itself, beautiful.

Very discuss facilities, clean, with fascinating great room.
For pilgrims, it is not close to a grocery or restaurant

Sylvia was exceptional in making sure everything was just right for our stay. We cannot say thank you enough! The hotel was beautiful, the rooms were very nice and the beds were comfortable. The location was excellent for Camino travelers.

The views of mountains to the south and the coast to the north.
The large lounges and the arrangements for self servicme of drinks in the evenings.
The property iis only 10 to 15 minutes to the Jurassic museum.
We enjoyed walking along the promenade. at Cangas De Onis and having lunch at the Pulperia (Octopus and Tapas)

I received a warm welcome which included a tour of the hotel to the back deck which looks over the Picos de Europa Mountains and to the sea. A great place to enjoy a drink and the stunning views. The room was classic and comfortable.

Bed, bathroom facilities
Breakfast was disappointing, main items came out after we finished the cereal.

Not a lot.
The photos on the website do not reflect the property in its present condition and must have been taken about 25 years ago. From the entrance to reception was so un-inviting as they have obviously sacked the gardener and the place looked over run. We had booked a Superior Room and the first one offered was not acceptable. On complaining to the management we were offered an alternative which was adequate but not Superior.

Fantastic staff. Took care of every need. There are no restaurants in town, so the staff prepares a great dinner from the breakfast leftovers. I know what that sounds like but it was really good!
