The location was central to all the places we wished to visit. The cottage is clean, ample space for the two of us and well equipped. The pre trip infomation was extremely comprehensive and very useful.

This beautifully presented cottage provided a comfortable and homely retreat after two long, hot days at Tankfest!
The kitchen was very well equipped and there were plentiful supplies of all the basics...the strawberries and bottle of fizz (non-alcoholic!) in the fridge were a lovely treat.
The lounge was spacious and comfortable with ample seating. The garden was well tended and the table and chairs provided somewhere to enjoy a drink at the end of the day.
Beds were comfortable and the bedrooms were fitted out with plenty of storage space. The bathroom was spotless.
We very much enjoyed our stay in Carters Barn and would highly recommend this property.

The barn was a very well stocked base. Had everything you need for self catering, including bottle of bubbly, (thankyou). Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Quiet and peaceful, attractive surroundings. Very handy position for a lot of local beauty spots and places of interest. Only fault was, car was parked at end of long garden. This caused a bit of a problem, due to health issues. Overall, well recommended.

Our stay at Carters Barn was most enjoyable, we had all
that we needed to be very comfortable, the area was quite
((which is to our liking) and very convenient for all the local
visitor attractions.

Enjoyed a wonderful stay. The barn conversion is well done with plenty of space, as shown in the pictures. Zo is a great host, sharing comprehensive details & instructions & answering our queries promptly.

We booked to stay at Carters Barn mainly because of its proximity to the Tank Museum and the excellent reviews that it had received. We were not disappointed. The cottage is in a nice quiet setting and is beautifully kept with all the facilities needed for a comfortable stay. Communication with our host Zoe was excellent and we will certainly return. Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful little place with so many lovely personal touches. Zoe has thought of everything. There may only be two bedrooms but it is like a tardis with plenty of room to relax in and if you are bringing teenagers they will be very happy with the WiFi speed. Zoe's communication was great in the lead up to our stay as well and was available during if we needed too. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Excellent accommodations for our trip to Dorset. Close by to the Jurassic Coast, Isle of Purbeck, and Bovington Tank Museum. Carters Barn was very inviting and the surroundings were very peaceful and quiet. The host made us feel very welcome and we had everything we needed for our stay!

This gorgeous cottage represents excellent value for money. The location allows easy access to many of the beautiful areas of Dorset and the accommodation cannot be faulted. Communication with the host is excellent and there are so many extra touches which help to enhance your stay. We cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Wonderful clean, comfortable and cosy cottage in a great area with lots to do

One of the nicest cottages we have stayed in. Beautifully presented, clean, comfortable and well appointed. The weather, in the main was awful but the surroundings helped towards a very pleasant stay. Watching the wild birds feeding in the garden was a real treat. Zoe's communications were clear and useful. Our trip to Brownsea Island was cancelled at short notice because of the weather and as this was the main reason for our visit we will certainly repeat our stay at Carters Barn in the not too distant future, hopefully with more success!

This is a perfect little place for a weekend away in Dorset. We stayed for a long weekend and it’s perfectly located to access many of dorsets best locations.
The host was really friendly and helpful, would highly recommend.

A beautiful, tasteful and full of character two bedroom barn cottage with a charming garden. So clean and everything one wants for a comfortable stay whether it be for two days or two months! Comfortable beds and top class linen. An assortment of teas, coffees, milk and biscuits on arrival plus strawberries and bubbly. A lovely touch from our host Zoe. Lots of places to visit and an excellent pub close by in Wool called The Ship Inn. Such a wonderful quiet location. Can really recommend.

Wonderful host and property! A beautiful place, very clean and really well equipped, comfortable and lovely. The welcoming touches were special. ❤️ Would recommend and will come again. Loved it!

Beautiful quiet country home that is comfortable, has all the amenities you could need. Hosted by a very nice and friendly owner who adds all the little subtle touches to make your stay wonderful. Accessing the door to this property is a little tricky you can easily walk/drive past the blue sign for Carters Barn and if so end up at the neighbors. Something bright that would catch your eye or a bigger sign leading to the stone path would be helpful. Lastly we being foreigners were not used to the locking mechanism on the front door and how to properly operate it until about day 2 or 3. Thats on us though. All in all a great place to get away from lifes stress.

Very enjoyable stay. Great, well equipped and cosy cottage that was conveniently located for exploring the Jurassic coast and market town of Dorchester.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Communication with Zoe was friendly and helpful. The barn was extremely clean and well equipped. Very spacious with an open but separate feel to the 2 lounge areas. It was relaxing to sit watching a variety of birds feeding from the bird table in the morning and move onto the other sofa in front of the electric fireplace. The beds were comfortable. The decor is very well thought out with a fun wildlife theme including a furry family hiding out in one of the wardrobes (don’t worry, they won’t bite you). Overall, a beautiful perfect property where we would love to stay again.
There are a few charming pub/restaurants nearby including The Ship Inn in Wool. Lots of places to visit nearby including Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, Weymouth and Corfe Castle.
Thank you Zoe.

Photos of the barn don’t do it justice - it’s such a spacious, yet cozy space which is tastefully decorated. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds very comfortable. Only a few short miles from Lulworth, Durdle Door and Corfe. Ideal for exploring the local area.

We stayed for a short break in October. The property was clean and homely, no light pollution or noise, it was just bliss! The kitchen is very well equipped for anyone wanting to cook all their own meals, although we tended to eat out mostly. There is plenty to do and see in the area, so this property makes a good holiday base. We loved feeding the birds and watching them from the huge windows too.

We loved our stay here. Beautifully quiet yet near to all the places we wanted to visit.private garden space at the back for outdoor breakfast and a lovely view over the gardens the other way. Amusing ducks theme, which we enjoyed. And Zoe had left some delicious treats in the fridge including fresh strawberries and Prosecco for us, plus lots of essentials like tea, coffee, milk, condiments etc. We hope to return! A truly wonderful escape ! Thank you!

I spent a week with my teenage children in this beautiful, spacious barn conversion. Comfortable and clean with everything provided including a welcome bottle of Prosecco, chocolates and milk tea/coffee. It was lovely to wake up to views of the garden and the sound of birds.
Very close to many beautiful beaches, Man O War beach next to Durdle Door was our favourite. We also did a morning of abseiling & climbing at Dancing Ledge near Swanage, Mud Trail at Dorset Adventures, Brownsea Island and Tyneham Village. Absolutely stunning area, we were very lucky with the weather and will definitely visit again.

This is a converted barn cottage. It is perfect for families as the lounge area is very large and perfect for spreading out with some watching TV and others reading.
The location is ideal for exploring the area of Weymouth, Swanage and the Jurassic coast. There are lots of great pubs nearby if you do not feel like cooking.
The owner Zo is very friendly and at the phone for any emergencys.

Carters Barn is a really beautiful property and we absolutely loved our recent stay there. We cannot fault the property and Zoe was a wonderful host! The weather wasn't fantastic but that didn't stop us visiting so many great places in the area.
Thanks Zoe!

Very clean and well equipped. Ideally placed for exploring Dorset. Only 10-15 minutes to Lulworth Cove. Recommend the Boat Shed Cafe there for breakfast.

Carter's Barn is on a serene property that is surrounded by beautiful flowers. Carter's Barn feels very much like a home with its beautiful art and warm furnishings. Zoe is truly helpful with any details for your journey. This was a wonderful place to stay. It is close to many fun outings. Our favorite by far was Corfe Castle. Thank you so much and we hope to return again!

Was looking for something that wasn't a hotel as I was traveling with my son to visit TANKFEST at the Tank Museum. Found this lovely home.
Zoe was extraodinary in every way. A great welcome package on what to expect, things to do in the area, choices of restaurants and such.
We were also greeted with milk for breakfast, a nice bottle of champagne, bowl of strawberries and an assortment of teas and coffee.
I know I'm forgetting many things, but it was well worth the trip here. Definitely a home away from home.
Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay in Carter's barn. The cottage was spacious, cosy and with lots of original features. Gardens to the front and rear were a bonus and it was very well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. It was really well located for all the local attractions like corfe castle and the durdle door. Zoe was a fantastic host and answered all our questions in the run up to our visit very promptly, and even left us some wine and chocolates for our stay! We hope to visit again soon.

We had a lovely stay here, as soon as we walked through the door it felt like home. Zoe is very helpful, friendly and informative in her correspondence. The property was larger than we’d thought - the lounge area is huge! The beautiful gardens surrounding it were a delight; lovely to sit there with the patio doors open listening to the birdsong in the mornings & evenings and enjoying the view of the trees and flora. Everything was very clean, light and fresh. The kitchen was very well equipped, and also spacious. The main bedroom with the big window is a real treat - what a lovely outlook. We really enjoyed our stay here, wonderful, would happily return and recommend to others. Thank you Zoe!

Absolutely lovely stay in this beautiful comfortable property. There is everything you could need - games, soft blankets, wonderful views and a fully equipped kitchen that even has supplies for baking. Loved feeding the birds and watching the sun rise through the trees. Easy distance to the coast and so many great locations. Highly recommended!

To visit relatives who live in the area, and go to Dorchester particularly the Roman Town House and the Tutanhamun Exibition. Previously seen the Dorchester Museum, and the house Thomas Hardy built, all very worth a visit

An amazing little place. It was so nice to wake up and hear the sheep bahhing in the morning. Very well kept property, nice and tidy, and cozy. My mother said "10/10 for the amount of pillows!"

We loved the Barn and it was clean, bright and warm (we were there in a very frosty January!) It was just the right place to return to after a cold days walking on the coast.
