Albeit a little far to walk at night, it’s still a great location to the beaches. We loved the layout of the hotel and the beautiful pool was perfect for swimming and bathing
The bunk bed area of the room was very warm at night as the air con didn’t reach that part of the room well and the bunk bed moved quite a bit!

Great hotel really clean and really good food in the restaurant
Just a little problem in the shower but the manager was really helpfull

Very helpful staff. Nice swimming pool.
Walking to the beach is a bit far on a dusty road. Better by bike or by car.

I found it quite comfy and relaxing. I would almost call it a retreat than resort. Great staff and restaurant. We stayed for dinner first night and they happily split our salad and entree to share. Also added chicken to the pasta entree. Breakfast was simple yet very good and healthy. Great Coffee! Out of town but still close. So quiet. Was about a 10 minute walk to the ocean at a less crowded beach. A small Bodega was well stocked just a few minutes away. The restaurant also had a small bar. Limited in it's offerings but worked fine.
Like I said, like a retreat which was fine with me. My friend missed having a TV, not me. Although we missed having a mini fridge or at least a cooler. The beds could use some upgrades. I was fine but my friend has some back issues that a different mattress might have been better

The hotel is a decent walk from the beach and hotel, but the pool is really nice and sunny. Breakfast is nice. The staff are friendly and work hard. Good value overall. Great for families especially.
Rooms and bathrooms are a bit small, but ok for the price.

Good location, close to town but far enough away for it to be quiet. The secure parking. Pool area was nice. Breakfast was fresh.
The mattress was very thin and the pillows were awful, very lumpy, we had to request additional ones. The shower temperature was hard to regulate and there wasn’t a fridge.

The facilities were beautiful and so clean. The staff was amazing, friendly and accommodating. The pool was beautiful. The location was great as it was 5 minute drive from downtown and maybe 10 minutes to the beach...so away from the busy center. The only thing that could use improvement are new pillows and maybe blankets. Otherwise we would stay here again and recommend. Thank you for having our Family of 7.
The pillows. Blankets would be a nice addition

:/ nothing you can find better hotels nearby.
I asked for late checkout, and they tell ok but until 12pm, I was packing my suitcase at 11:00 and one guy almost broke the door, form me to hurry, when the day before I asked for for some extra time. This guy was rude. Also you have to step out of the car to open the gate to enter and to go out, no body helps with your luggage. Very loud rooms, around the pool. There not even a table to put your suitcase... The hotel need better maintenance. and to change the towels they were stained.... :(

Loved Ronalds friendliness and The awesome tasting breakfast every morning.
There is no Wi-Fi in the suite. Too weak signal overall. Not considering the Costa Rican wifi reliability which we understand is not in your scope.

All the staff was amazing! We felt welcomed and we had everything we needed. Breakfast was very good too!
The restaurant of the hotel was okay but little bit expensive the the portions at night, but breakfast was great.

Breakfast was excellent. Special kudos to Ronald, the breakfast waiter, and the friendly and helpful staff at reception.
We really enjoyed the rural location, away from the hubbub of Samara town, and the view of the farm animals from our patio. We also enjoyed the easy access to the walking trail to the secret beach!
No problems at all.

Pacific Lodge is a little gem of Sámara, located in the beautiful Buena Vista neighbourhood. We came for two weeks with our four children to explore the region. The owner Clémence was so kind, she even provided an extra small fridge for us. Breakfast (3 delicious options) is included, with freshly squeezed juice and fruit salad. The staff have been incredibly friendly and sweet, this place carries the flavour of a corporate family founded on trust and respect. And what a nice pool, plus the howler monkeys in the jungle accross, and the view over the back terrace/balcony over the fields of BuenaVista with horses and kettle and wild pigs serenly living their natural life. We miss you Pacific Lodge. Thanks for the wonderful two weeks. On and on, sending love, Andre & Bianca

Great pool, comfortable rooms, tasty breakfast, nice location close to town.
I would have given a 10 but the restaurant is not open and it specifically says it is on the booking landing page for the property.

Very Good value for money. Cozy hotel, with a relaxed, chill vibe. Javier was a great host, he was really friendly and helpful. He is a great asset to the business.

I think it is a good place for families, the staff and owner quite accommodating. I think the place is well suited for families with small kids, the pool is for kids really, you are not going to swim laps there. There is a store close by, but note the closest walkable beach (Playa Buena Vista) is not suited for swimming, plus you need to wade through a freshwater river to get there.
I like that you get two somewhat separated rooms, and that the clientele while somewhat noisy during the day (rooms are very close to pool) is quiet at night.
The area that the hotel is a bit far from town, not walkable, and even biking to town is not particularly enjoyable as the traffic is kind of bothersome. The whole area is getting the Tamarindo vibe which is a shame, seems like too many people all trying to the same things. Still much-much better than Tamarindo.

super clean! the staff nice, very good location. I highly recommend to visit samara!!!
I didn’t like the breakfast. is not buffet. only two options everyday the same. Very simple breakfast, even if you ask for more they dont have. all the rest very good.

it had a very nice pool, super comfortable pool chairs, nice breakfast. the rrom was ample and bed comfortable.
I would have liked a TV to check news, but other than that, everything else was fine.

Breakfast was very nice, sitting around pool, lots of chairs, choices of sun or shade, very relaxed, had 3 WIFI zones so could get a reasonable signal anywhere you went
Shower did not allow you to adjust temperature, but did not really matter, it is always warm there and water temperature was fine how they had it set.

Outdoor areas was nicest- beautiful pool, well kept grounds, very tranquil. Great breakfast & super helpful caretaker & waiter ( I was injured the night of my stay)
The inside was fair. Lots of bugs, webs, ants. I didn’t realize there was no TV & the internet did not work in the room. I was injured the night of my stay & was looking for something more comfortable so was somewhat let down upon seeing the interior. Also confusing as it was a little further out of town center than I thought, which was my mistake.
