About this villa rental
The villa is located in the homonymous area of Kastellakia on the outskirts of Rethymno city. Placed in an isolated neighborhood but only three-minute drive away from the city center and the beach, the villa offers tranquility and a variety of facilities Kastellakia Executive Villa is situated into a hilltop, overlooking the Cretan Sea, only 2,6 km from the historic and commercial center of Rethymno.
Kastellakia Executive Villa was built in 2015, at Crete Island and started to operate during the same year as a furnished tourist residence. The two-storey villa can accommodate up to 10 guests (8 people in beds and 2 in truckle beds). Due to the equipment, the facilities and the location, the villa can be rented throughout the year.
The idea behind the fitting of the premises is the capacity to accommodate large families or group of friends, while simultaneously offering privacy; for this purpose, the villa has its own private entrance and parking lot.
The exterior space of the villa, the perfect ambiance for get-together moments, has a large dining table and a BBQ available for your meals, a large private heated - the heating option up to 27C is upon request with supplement charge of 100 Euro per day (minimum charge of 3 days)- pool and plunge pool, umbrellas, a hammock and sunbeds to relax.
The interior of the villa is separated into two levels. On the ground floor, a spacious living room to accommodate your sharing moments and relax on the comfortable sofas with an available office space to get organized throughout your stay. You will also find an open plan kitchen with a cozy dining area to enjoy your home-made meals. A bedroom, ideal for people with mobility problems, is found on the same level, with an attached private bathroom.
On the upper floor there are three bedrooms in total. One of them is a master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. The other two bedrooms are sharing a bathroom. On the same level, it is found a fully equipped gym corner with a hot tub to keep you fit and relaxed. While using the treadmill, gaze the peaceful nature and the sea view through the large windows. Laundry room is also available with a washing and tumble dryer machine.
On the lowest level, explore your inner child, by playing with your friends and family.
Games of all ages, board games to pool table and console PS5 are available to our modern and fully equipped playroom.
Stepping out of the villa a 600 sqm outdoor area is private and complemented by a glistening 36 sqm private swimming pool for adults and a 13 sqm paddling pool. A shared kiosk beside the pool can host your everyday meals prepared at the private BBQ using fresh Cretan ingredients.
While the sun sets, relax at the hammock or at the sunbeds by drinking a glass of local wine and enjoy oregano and thyme smells which are growing in our beautiful lawn garden.

Fabulous Villa Kastellakia
We had a fabulous stay in villa kastellakia. It is a great place to stay, near to harbour, beach and lots of places to eat. The villa itself is beautifully presented, immaculately clean and has everything needed for a Greek holiday. The pool and outside area is particularly great. The hosts Irini and Nikos were so helpful. Lots of communication and suggestions and responded to queries really quickly. I would highly recommend this villa! Thank you!

Amazing! You will love this house!
The house lives up to it’s pictures. If anything, it will exceed your expectations. The house is immaculately clean - which is most important to us. Location was easily acccesible to town, and close to a highway when heading to the fabulous beaches on Crete. The local grocery store was so close and convenient.
We took advantage of many of the hosts recommendations. The first night at the house we had the personal chef - one of the best meals of the trip (and all our meals were fabulous on the island).
We enjoyed a day on a sailboat with a wonderful captain! And we took advantage of the amazing Cretan breakfast.
Eirini and Nikos were incredibly welcoming hosts and took personal care of us. We felt we left Crete with new friends - extended family. We believe, “if you win people, you win everything”. The Krevatsouli family won us over. We will be back. Thank you so much.

Schöne Villa zum entspannen
Wir waren eine Woche in der Villa, hauptsächlich zum Entspannen am Pool und sekundär für kleinere Ausflüge in die Natur/Strand in der Umgebung.
Die Villa und insb. der Pool/Garten sind groß genug, dass man sich auch mal aus dem Weg gehen kann, oder in größerer Runde gemeinsam beisammen sein kann. Zum Ausruhen echt perfekt. In der Umgebung gibt es auch einige Ausflugsziele für Wanderlustige, Strände, etc., die sich durchaus lohnen. Für Fahrten in die Stadt zum Supermarkt o.ä. benötigt man zwingend ein Auto, weil die Villa schon etwas außerhalb gelegen ist, fußläufig ist eigentlich nichts zu erreichen.
Einziger Wermutstropfen für uns: Die Qualität der sanitären Anlagen entspricht einfach nicht deutschen Standards. Undichte Duschkabinen, Duschköpfe die überall Wasser versprühen, unangenehme Gerüche aus den Abflüssen und WCs ... naja. Sagen wir mal diplomatisch, die Badezimmer sind nicht gerade das, was ich unter "Villa-Qualität" verstehen würde.
Davon abgesehen hatten wir eine super Zeit, die Gastgeberin war außerordentlich hilfsbereit, check-in, check-out hat alles super geklappt und wir haben unseren Urlaub in der Villa sehr genossen.

Favourite Holiday
Our family of 7 had a wonderful stay here. We have grown-up children as well as young ones and everyone had enough space to relax, play, cook and eat. Indoors and outside is stunning. We loved the pool which warm enough to swim at any time of day; the giant BBQ made cooking easy and the shaded eating area meant we ate every meal outside. Our property manager responded within minutes of any questions and requests we had. She helped us plan visits too, for example to a beach with pink sand. We didn’t want to leave.

Amazing villa!
We had a great experience at this property for a week. 6 adults and an infant and we had everything we needed. Communication was great and were always on hand for any requests. We would definitely stay again!

En fantastisk villa
Vi var ti personer i 8 dage, og det var en dejlig oplevelse. Vi havde valgt at leje to biler inden ankomst, de blev leveret til villaen og afhentet to timer inden afgang fra villaen, så kunne vi altid komme afsted ned at handle eller på sightseeing, villaen ligger tæt på Rethymno, men vejen fra shopping center op til villaen kan være lidt tung til fods med varer på slæb.
Huset er nyt og moderne indrettet med god plads og dejlige værelser badeværelser og køkken
Uderdørs området blev meget brugt, rundt poolen om dagen og så blev der grillet om aftenen.
En super tur og en dejlig villa, hvor vi godt kunne komme igen.

Great Villa for Families
We have just come back from a lovely stay here. We are a family of 5 and this was perfect for us, with all the requirements needed for a young family. The villa itself is lovely, modern, clean and spacious. It is a very well thought out villa and has everything from plastic cups for outside to bbq equipment. The outdoor space is fantastic, the combination of the kids pool and lounges enabled us to supervise the kids easily and also enjoy lovely evenings eating in the outside in the outdoor seating area. The villa is very close to the Rethymno centre so everything including 2 large supermarkets, a butcher, bakeries are all only minutes away as well as many restaurants.
We have been to Crete several times now and really enjoyed this villa and Irini’s hospitality is amazing. She gave us lovely pastries on arrival and also made a lovely traditional dessert and homemade ice cream. She also happily replaced a coffee percolator which was missing a part when we made her aware. Highly recommend villa and area to visit.

Amazing high-standard house for very restful holidays
We spent a wonderful week there with my wife and 3 small girls.
The house is simply amazing, probably the best we ever lived in. The inside looks completely new, the decoration is done with a lot of taste and modernity, with a lot of nice details like the variety of pillows or towels... and there is a lot of space for everyone to have privacy when needed.
Outside the pool with the small one for kids and the bigger one for everyone is perfectly adapted for families, and the neighborhood is extremely peaceful at whatever time of the day.
Although you feel in very quiet environment, very close at around 5 min ride by car, you can find a big supermarket and smaller groceries to get everything you may need during your stay, which is not always easy to find in Crete.
Last but not least, Eirini who took care of us from the check-in to the very last day was absolutely lovely, available for any small need or question, be it nice restaurant to book, nice beach to go, etc,
To sum up, FANTASTIC house, that we very highly recommend.

Brilliant Villa! Above and Beyond Our Expectations!
Absolutely wonderful stay. It was above and beyond all expectations. We were especially encouraged by our hosts. Exceptional service but we really felt like family. If you are wondering if the pictures tell the truth about this property the answer is yes. They live up to and exceed the pics! Can't say enough. We will be back to this spot as soon as possible.

Amazing stay
Although I almost never comment, I truly believe that everyone visiting Crete must get informed about this villa. We were a company of 6 friends travelling around the island and the villa was perfect for us, since it is only 5 minutes distance from the town. Everything (supermarket, sightseeing, shops, cafes, restaurants) is so close that we had the chance to explore the city and go out every night. The villa has all you could ever ask. We enjoyed the Jacuzzi, the gym and of course the swimming pool. The house is extremely modern and every detail (even the pillow catalog) has been taking care of. The villa owner Irene has been helpful, more than you would expect, confirming everything we knew about the Cretan hospitality. She gave us the best restaurant recommendations, suggested some amazing tours, helped us rent our car and made everything she could to make our stay memorable. We made a new friend for sure. Last but not least was the BBQ experience. We had the time of our life. We are coming back!!!!

This was our best family vacation ever

Everything we could have wished for!
The Villa was exactly as described and looked even better than the pictures suggested! The owner Irini was so welcoming and made every part of our stay feel like we were in a 5* hotel! Spacious bedrooms, impeccable decor with plenty of room for multiple guests. The location of the villa is in the best position on the island. You can be anywhere in an hour and in the Rethymno town in less than 5 minutes! Irini went above and beyond my expectations and made it a memorable visit. This place is a must visit!

Lovely holiday, thanks to Erini and Nikos
All of the family really enjoyed our holiday at the villa. Inside it is extremely modern and well furnished and all of rooms had everything that you could ask for, toiletries in all of the bathrooms, a well kitted out kitchen and good quality bedding in every room. What made the difference was the service provided by Erini, she could not do enough for the family. We had home made wine delivered, a lovely plate of pastries when we arrived and a beautiful pana cota during our stay. We also had a wonderful barbecue cooked by the local chef that was a great compliment to the wine that had been provided. We had a problem with wasps but this was dealt with immediately and any email to Erini or Nikos was answered within minutes, the service was excellent. There are numerous supermarkets nearby and it is only 10 minutes drive into the old town so the location was great. For such a big group as we were the outside was a bit small and the wifi was a bit hit and miss but overall we had a lovely holiday.

THE FIRST TIME WE( 2 FAMILIES) GO TO A 6 DAY VACATION HOLYDAY.
WE WERE 9 PEOPLE (5 CHILDREN) AND WE HAD THE BEST VACATION IN CRETE.
THE VILLA IS LOVELY, CLEAN, MODERN, HAS A GOOD ENERGY DUE TO THE ARCHITECT OPEN DESIGN.
THE WEATHER WAS GRATE, AND THE CHILDREN ENJOYED VERY MUCH IN THE HEATED POOL. WE HAD AN INSTANT CLICK WITH EIRINI, THE YOUNG OWNER AND EVERY THING WE ASKED WE GOT IN 10 MINUTES. (MORE TOWELS, SOPS TO WASHING MACHINE,WINE AND MORE.)
EIRINI ALSO SURPRISED US WHEN SHE INVITED US THE CELEBRATE THE EASTER MEAL WITH HER FAMILY, AND MADE A BIRTHDAY CAKE TO JACOB WHO CELEBRATED ON THE SAME DAY.
WE ALSO GOT 2 BOTTLES OF WINE PRODUCED BY HER FATHER, WHICH WAS VERY VERY GOOD ONE.
WE ALSO SAT WITH HER AROUND THE MAP OF CRETE AND GOT GOOD RECOMMENDATIONS AND GOOD INTERACTION WHERE TO VISIT AND HOW TO GET THERE.
WE HAD A WONDERFUL FULLY EQUIPMENT KITCHEN AND BBQ, SO WE MADE ALL OF OUR MEALS WHEN WE WERE IN. BREAKFASTS AND DINNERS.
THE LOCATION OF RETHIMENON WAS VERY GOOD (1 HOUR FROM THE HERAQLION AIRPORT) AND THE VILLA 3-4 MINUTES DRIVING (1.5/KM) FROM SUPERMARKET AND VERY GOOD AND RICH BAKERY.
WE REALLY RECOMMEND AND WE ARE EVEN THINKING OF COMING BACK IN THE SUMMER.
