The layout of this hotel was lovely. Our room and bed was comfortable. The restaurant was good. The grounds are beautiful. Its location gives a feeling of a retreat. I enjoyed the pool and the walking path that skirts the river. I would definitely stay here again should I ever return to Coatzalcoalcos.

Nice resort and I had a view of the river. Nice that they had a person to help with our luggage with a cart, our room wasn't close to the lobby.
There was a wedding going on so I think most of the staff was out there. The waiter at the restaurant seemed angry at my limited Spanish and wasn't very friendly so we went to the bar instead. Bartender was very sweet and fun though.

The decorations and setting once you got there were very ❤️ beautiful!
The breakfast buffet was onsite and about $10.00 US per person, but was very, very good and the staff serving the breakfast were wonderful
The parking was outfront and safe.
The landscaping around the front of the hotel was very nice. The grounds outside were clean
The remodeled room we stayed in was big and the TV worked well.
The maid was so nice in the morning. I wish I could've taken her with us!
The little road leading up to it for the last four blocks was the worst driveway we have EVER been on in our entire lives...
Once you turn off of the main street, it looks like you are going down a muddy gravel dark alley next to an industrial area.
It's not lit up at all and very weird looking for the drive into the hotel.
It was a muddly mess of uncountable deep potholes filled water and mud, and we bottomed out several times.
We almost turned around thinking half-way through the potholes Google Maps had steered us wrong.
But after 5 minutes on a driveway from hell we entered onto a gorgeous hotel with a beautiful working fountain and amazing trees, 🌺 flowers, and bushes in the landscaping.
The first room they showed us was on the older un-remodeled side and was very musty smelling and the beds were very hard.
They were kind enough to give us a room on the other side with newer furnishings for the same price.
However there was no elevator so the bell boy had to cart our luggage up the stairs with my husband helping.. and after two trips they were both exhausted, as there were 25 stairs to the second floor
There was a band playing really loud music 🎶 when we got there even though it was 11:30 at night, but once we got in the room it was far enough away it didn't bother us
The other odd thing was we went for a drive into town in the morning as it is on the coast, and 10 minute drive from the room to the beach were the very bumpiest CITY roads we have ever been on in our lives.
Overall the entire town was very run down, dirty and with black mold prevailent on many buildings.
There was trash scattered here and there in the alley's and along the streets in alot of places, which we have never seen like this anywhere in the United States, so that was a sad shocking reality.
Since this was our first view of the coast since entering Mexico we were very sad this coastal town was so run down and dirty with absolutely horrible streets.

we slept here just for a stopover, otherwise I really would not recommend it
the hotel is very old and badly maintained, so it needs a lot of renovation works and the pictures are very misleading. Also, the high reviews feel like scam

The room was comfortable, the surroundings were nice, there is a track where you can run or walk, without having to leave the hotel. People were nice and try to help.
The pool had a nice size and I would have love to dive in, but even though they clean it every day, it had the aspect of being dirty, there was mold in the walls, and that didn't make me feel comfortable to go in. It was a shame, as the place is great, I also felt the restaurant was expensive for what it offer.
