Little oasis in a fabulous position. Loved the room and so close to the beach.
The Aircon addition to the rooms was brilliant and just what we needed after a day out . The staff were so warm too. Thank you so much Ruby
The little staircase that leads to the rooms can be a bit tricky with big luggage.

Property was excellent, close to the beach, quiet, secure, staff were friendly and attentive (but not overly), AC was a god send!
Very cute, and authentic decor, the garden atrium was gorgeous, and every room had a hammock to enjoy the heat, while relaxing.
The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, and the fridge was amazing for saving some money, instead of always eating out.
Need better shower heads in the rooms. It just kinda sprayed everywhere except where it was needed/wanted.
That’s the only downfall.

nice tiny appartement with a great view.
bar music playing very late every night very loud.

Gorgeous place. Really lovely buildings around a beautiful garden courtyard. The room was large, decorated with personality and charm. Stunning view of the garden and the sea in the background from my balcony, which also featured a hammock. Very chilled.
Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Would come back for sure.
There's no AC - which I knew at the time of booking. However it's actually fine when you're sleeping because of the ceiling fan and extra fan provided. Can just get a little hot when you're moving around.

The place is fantastic! Way nicer than the pictures. We loved everything: the room, the bed, the view, the balcony with the hammock. The manager is super nice, she makes us feel at home.
even if we checked out, the manager offered us to use the services. we could even shower (they have an extra shower in the shared garden).
This is the best place we stayed in Mexico.
Location is perfect, 1 min walking from the sea.

Beautiful facility. Good friendly staff.
Never, never, never stay here. The restaurant next door is so loud it is like trying to sleep on a disco dance floor. This lasts from 2 in the afternoon until 11:30 at night. The manager leaves the grounds in the afternoon and doesn't return until the next morning so there is no one to help you with the noise.

Peaceful room, beautiful courtyard. I liked that the room was not air conditioned. Cute kitchenette included
Nothing about the hotel, but there was heavy construction on local houses that went well into the evening. Only one or two nights though

it was quiet, many nights I think I maybe have been alone. the bar next door is gone post hurricane. only restaurants. very clean, they will clean everyday if you want. cute design. staff helpful when asked. location in centre so perfect.
I don’t want to be that person, but I guess I am, for price and with no ac, wifi should work in the rooms. ac would make it perfect. it can get hot, fans helps but if you don’t deal well with heat maybe it’s not hotel for you.

The location was great. One block from the beach and on a cute little street that gets closed off for a market most nights. The bed was comfortable and the wifi was pretty reliable compared to the more expensive place my friends were staying at. I'd consider it to be located more in the "center" of this tiny beach town. I could't hear any sounds from the street with the fan blasting all night. The staff there was so nice!
Honestly not really anything. It's a bit no frills and it got super hot in there. The fans were blasting though so I slept pretty well. One last note is that lots of things are under construction post-hurricane so I heard some of that in the mornings.

Honestly, this was the nicest and most relaxing stay. The staff went above and beyond; on the second day, I realised that the ATMs weren't accepting my bank cards, and the lovely landlady offered me cash that I could then have charged back to my room. It was such a lifesaver (but also if you are going to visit, bring enough cash to last your stay as the ATMs are very temperamental).
I can not recommend this place highly enough, everyone must stay here if you're visiting Zipolite!

the decoration, the comfy bed. lots of screens to protect from bugs. the staff was amazing
the water was lukewarm at best. and sometimes colds

Beautiful, clean and centrally located. The decor is so simple and tasteful and creates such a peaceful atmosphere. Everything is steps away outside the door and the staff were so sweet and helpful.
Lack of air conditioning was a small issue but there is a nice breeze and lots of fans.

you’re basically sleeping in an open space next to a bar and in the main street. No chance to sleep due to noise. the room’s roof is half open so all sound comes in. but it’s not open enough to benefit from some needed wind. so it’s very hot inside. the ‘balcony’ is a french balcony: a door opens to a small fence overlooking the street. maybe the rooms in the back of the building were better and they are giving the good reviews.

Casa Mixteca met all my expectations. My bungalow was on the main floor and on the far end of the interior courtyard, affording me the privacy and the quiet I sought from this trip.

friendly staff, cute lobby area, near restaurants and beach
very loud next door to a rocker bar, ground floor apartment wasn’t the most ideal location and likely why there were cockroaches in the bathroom each night.

Amazing staff and beautiful hotel. The rooms are big and super clean!
There's a bar next door that plays music way to loud for the amount of people there.... That being said, they usually stop between 10-11pm. The bed is a bit stiff and there's no pressure in the shower.

Shoutout to Rubi (the receptionist)! The location of the hotel is perfect; close to the beach and at the Main Street of Zipolite. Our room had a nice balcony.
We were a bit wary about noise at night after reading other reviews, but this was really doable. Especially with the sound of the fan in the background.

The location is perfect, in the middle of all happenings.

this feels like a green little paradise hidden away just on the main strip in Zipolite. it is still quiet enough to get a good nights sleep though!
we loved all the plants everywhere - and the hammock on the balcony was a lovely touch.
the kitchen had everything we needed to make breakfast and drinking water available. it was also very clean.
the staff are also lovely ! the whole flat was perfect I cannot recommend this place enough.
nothing at all!

The place looks perfect but it's next to a loud bar and you can't sleep till 3am, it's horrible so loud!!
Music from bar next door, you can't even talk in the room.

Room(Tamaya) was wonderful, beautifully appointed, very functional. Everything you'd want.
The Tamaya room, and probably the others, share a common wall with a pool hall and bar, who 0lay very loud music Neil 1 or 2 in the morning. The music travels right up the wall and under the thatch roof, making sleeping before 1am impossible. I've stayed here before the bar existed and it was a wonderful place to stay. I'm afraid I'll never stay at Casa Mixteca again.

Comfortable and well decorated room with attention to detail.
No hot water, don’t accept cards or give facturas, hostess had a bit of an attitude
9.0 / 10.0
The room was absolutely spotless, and comfortable. The staff was incredibly helpful and sweet. I love the location just a few steps from the alley to the beach and so close to incredible cafes, bars and everything in between.
It can be a bit noisy with neighboring bars. The mosquitos in the morning and evening were annoying so you can't be on the deck in the hammock. The wifi was pretty bad, it was difficult to get anything other than texting and some minor surfing on the phone accomplished.
