About this farm stay rental
Casa Benessere, a restored Italian farmhouse, is set in the magical, untouched Le Marche region which neighbours Umbria and Tuscany. The property, the landscape and the peaceful, inspiring spirit of this area are why we chose the name Benessere, which means well being. Casa Benessere is made up of three buildings. There’s the main farm house with five bedrooms, the old barn with two bedrooms and an impressive studio for yoga & pilates and, on the hill-top overlooking the property, the casa privata. All eight bedrooms are en suite doubles, there is a large swimming pool and a host of contemporary comforts including a large extensively equipped kitchen with a big granite worktop as its focal point. The renovation has been carried out by Italian specialists in historic rural dwellings so we could keep the property’s true, timeless nature. We have also, where possible, selected original and reclaimed materials along with traditional pieces crafted by local artisans.
General information: Our Italian caretaker, Antonio, is wonderful and will show you around the house on arrival and deal with any problems during your stay. There is a full complementary welcome pack provided with information on the house, local area and places of interest.
The property enjoys completely private landscaped gardens and uninterrupted views over the surrounding countryside. There are plenty of areas around the grounds to take the sun or enjoy the shade. It is maintained weekly during the summer months and has automated irrigation. The swimming pool also enjoys beautiful views and is equipped with 16 sun loungers and plenty of sun umbrellas. It opens in May and closes at the start of October.
We also have additional services available to our guests:
Meet and greet on your arrival / emergency assistance in English available at an additional cost.
We can also organise a local cook and mid-week as required.
There is a hospital 15 minutes away in San Severino
Eating and drinking: Le Marche is a pioneering region in organic farming. And you can see, feel and taste the difference in the local shops and restaurants. Around the coast, you’ll find excellent seafood and brodetto (fish soup), with each area offering its own delicious variant on the ingredients. Inland there are other delights. This is truffle country, and they have been part of the culture for the past 300 years. Every type is found in the area, so local restaurants serve seasonal truffle dishes all year long.
Le Marche is home to the famous white wine Verdicchio. There are currently 11 DOC areas in Le Marche (this denotes a regulated wine of a high standard, so watch out for the label). We like the Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi, an elegant dry white, and Rosso Conero Riserva Grosso Adontano 2002, a ruby red with hints of black cherry and plum that goes well with red meat and hard cheeses.
Outdoor activities: After all that indulgence, you’ll want some exercise. Hike on the Grande Anello dei Sibillini, or — more gently — through the Gothic Gola dell’Infernaccio, or Hell’s Throat, a twisting limestone gorge. The water park at Cingoli is great for a family day out. There is also skiing in the Sibillini's in the winter months. There are some great walks in the local area and winding your way through the country lanes near Casa Benessere is a joy. We also have four moutain bikes with helmets at the property for your use. The rolling hills and the lake at Cingoli also make for excellent triathlon training.

A group of us stayed at Casa Benessere to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary. We had celebrated our 10th there so we knew what to expect- a fantastic property in a great location. Sarah had arranged an anniversary card as a really nice welcoming touch along with a welcome pack. Alessandro ( who looks after the property) was really great ahead of our arrival and although my Italian is Ok, I didn’t need it as his English is so good
Sarah- Grazie Mille e tourneremo!

What can we say! Everything from the booking process through to the stay was brilliant. The house and grounds were beautiful and the pool was perfect
Sarah answered every question we threw at her. She helped us to find a local chef to come in a few nights and cook defiantly recommend the chef was brilliant and the food was just what we wanted.
Alessandro was brilliant and on hand to help with anything needed whilst we were there, he also helped us to sort car hire and transfers to and from the airport which were really great and a brilliant price.
The local area was lovely we had some lovely walks through San Severino, El Cito and other local places. We also visited the Frassasi caves, Cingoli town to see the view from the blacony of the Marches and took a boat trip from Numana port with Durasse boat.
We highly recommend this house for a great family holiday, loads of space, every room has its own bathroom, all areas were clean amd tidy, beds were comfortable, the kitchen has everything needed with loads of plates, cups and glasses etc, outdoor area was lovely with a large pool and great sunloungers. Overall a brilliant holiday for our family.

Large house with generous spaces both outside and inside with a luxurious feel. We were three families who cooked, bathed in pollen, went on fun excursions and cycled in the surroundings. One evening we booked our own chef and two mornings a professional yoga instructor. Pool and yoga studio are amazing. One day we went to the coast. We got good tips in the information folder in the house. The local restaurant was superb.

We absolutely loved our stay at the villa and highly recommend it for anyone visiting the area. There were 13 of our friends that travelled to Le Marche for a friends wedding and this was the perfect place for a large group. We appreciated the easy communication with the hosts and how accommodating they were with our questions. It was so convenient for every room to include an ensuite bathroom, and the large kitchen, outdoor dining space, and pool area were major pluses. The photos are beautiful, but we were so impressed with how stunning the property was in person. Thank you!

Ideal and very clean location for a bigger group with lots of privacy
This property is just amazing. We had a wonderful week with our friends and kids. Each room has it's own bathroom and access. The views are wonderful and the kitchen is just perfectly equipped. This place is also a hidden gem for Yogis or workout lovers, they have an own studio :) Would love to come back!

Einfach perfekt

esperienza davvero molto positiva

Fantastic Villa
-This is with out doubt the most beautiful villa we have ever stayed in. I will miss waking up to the view across the valley. It was the perfect place for a celebration and to catch up with the family- it is rare that a villa is more spectacular and larger than expected.

Breathtaking views, beautiful place for a retreat
I booked this for a Pilates retreat and was not disappointed.
From the beginning the owners were helpful, informative and accommodating. Which made the planning of the retreat totally stress free.
We arrived after a tiring journey and were greeted warmly by the caretaker with a very thoughtful hamper of goodies. The villa was gorgeous. Exceeding my expectations, the photos do not do it justice. The situation looks out over some wonderful views. There is so much space inside and out. The rooms were clean and beds were comfy.
We spent a wonderful week enjoying the pool, yoga space and kitchen. The owner also helped us to arrange a night out in the local restaurant, a wonderful evening wine-tasting with Giovanni (highly recommended) and a massage therapist to come to the villa.
Such a wonderful week at the perfect place. Will book again!!

Beautiful, relaxing home in the hills
This is a fabulous home! We were a group of 8 family and friends staying here for the week. The house has been beautifully restored and was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped and the host kindly left us bread, cheese and wine for our arrival! Sarah and Caroline were wonderful about communicating with us and answering all our questions. There is a great caretaker who came by to check on us and fix whatever was needed. The pool is gorgeous and we truly enjoyed the relaxing summer days sitting around it and in it. The views of the surrounding countryside are magnificent. There are lovely vineyards close by and wonderful restaurants in San Severino. The town also has a well stocked CO-OP for grocery shopping. We ventured out to Florence and San Marino from here and the trips were relatively easy. The beaches on the Adriatic are easy to get to as well. I would highly recommend this host and property to anyone who wants a relaxing, countryside retreat with local fun available. The Le Marche area is stunning and welcoming.

FANTASTIC VILLA!
Our stay at Casa Beneserre was more fantastic than we could have ever imagined. We had 9 Adults and 8 Children. We are a group of friends that have known each other for over 20 years and we were celebrating turning 40! Everything is in great shape and maintained well. The Villa is further in the country than we imagined but the drive is worth it. Very peaceful and perfect for relaxation. We hired a Chef for two meals and a cooking class. She even taught the kids how to make pizza - they loved it! Next time we would hire her for more than 2 meals - as finding diner out is hard with 17 people in Italy. The rates were very reasonable too. The pool was a daily hit with the kids. Great lounge chairs and umbrellas for the adults to tan, read and nap too. The rooms could get hot but if you keep it shuttered up during the day, then open everything when the evening cools off - it was very manageable - especially with the fans. We also did a wine tasting. The caretaker drove us out to the winery. We had so much fun and it was a lovely evening. And it was more than just a "taste" of wine, it was 6 wines that we tried with ample pours. Needless to say we bought over 25 bottles of the wine for our week long stay. We did drive into San Severino for our grocery shopping, dining and gelato runs. Also, spent a day at the beach to play in the Adriatic Sea. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to our family and friends. Caroline was our contact and she was wonderful handling our questions and requests. We were very sad to leave but the memories we created will stay with us for a lifetime!

Great house with great views!
We were a group of 8 adults and 8 children (2 to 5 y) and the house was just perfect for us. Both living area and rooms are spacious, clean and well maintained.
Outside, the pool is large and views from every point of the property are simply stunning!
There's enough to see in the region (nice villages, beautiful nature, sea,...) and it's a big advantage that the region is not overcrowded by (other :-)) tourists.
We had our best holiday in years at Casa Benessere!

Perfect house, perfect Region, perfect vacation.
Casa Benessere is a wonderful house in La Marche. It is perfectly equipped and leaves no wishes open.
We were a group of 17 friends (7-50years old) and everyone, whether young or old, enjoyed it very much. Each room is as beautiful as the other and the views from every single room over the mountains of La Marche, were breathtaking!!!
La Marche is one of the nicest (if not THE nicest) area of Italia and mostly undiscovered by other tourists. This makes it even nicer especially at the beach.
However, the highlight of Casa Benessere is the amazing service! Whether cooking lesson (you have to do that!!!) or wine tasting: this will make it even more unforgettable!
There are really no negative things to say about this house.......

It was really wonderful and we felt everything was done to make this week simple and great.
The organisation, the house, the services, everything is perfect.
You have to visit and taste the local vineyard, wine is excellent.

Even better than the photos
Pictures of this villa just do not do it justice. Magnificent views all around. Bedrooms all have en suites and all have great views. The kitchen is amazing with everything you could wish for (big central island, two refrigerators, two gas cookers and dish washer) alongside a large dining room an,d just outside, a wonderful al fresco dining area. The lounge room is simply enormous. While the weather was too cold for using the large pool it would be just a great way to spend time with friends.
We stayed for two weeks from late April to early to mid May with friends from Australia, France and the U.K. (around 16 people in all). The weather was magnificent and everyone said they really enjoyed themselves in such a wonderful establishment. All said they would welcome the chance to revisit the villa.
Time spent exploring nearby San Severino paid dividends with the discovery of some great restaurants, good supermarkets and even a factory outlet for fine soft leather handbags at about a quarter of the price we would pay for similar goods in Australia. WiFi and internet connections were available free at Cingoli, a 20 minute drive away.
The villa is quiet and secluded but the caretaker and other occasional staff are readily available. None speaks English so a knowledge of Italian or advanced sign language would be an advantage.
While everyone pitched in to cook (cold smorgasbord for lunch and pastas for dinner) we also engaged the services of the recommended cook for five of our meals which was just great.
We can't wait to return.

Beautiful House with Picturesque Views
This is a spectacular house. The views from your bedroom or your sun lounger by the pool are beautiful. The house is spacious and well finished with a large well kitted out kitchen, perfect for preparing your own meals which allows you the opportunity to dine in the tranquil setting of the pergola and watch the sun set and the moon come up and the stars shine.
The bedrooms are large and very comfortable and all are ensuite. We spent most of our week lying by the pool reading our books taking in the beautiful scenery. It was so peaceful it felt like heaven on earth.
We went for a few drives visiting the local towns. The nearest town San Severino is about 15 mins away and it has a large Co-op store to cater for all your grocery needs; it also has a fresh pasta shop which we frequented on several occasions. The town also had plenty of restaurants and coffee shops to allow you to sit down and take it all in. There is also a local village situated about a ten minute walk from the house.
From the house there are great walking and bike trails and most morning we went for a run, walk or cycle. In relation to driving, the roads were very quiet with little or no traffic. There were very few tourists to be seen which was great.
For yoga and Pilates enthusiasts, there is a bright spacious studio with amazing views of the countryside.
This stunning house situated in idyllic surrounding will cater for your every holiday wish and you will leave truly relaxed and feeling recharged.

Lovely House in Le Marche,Italy's Best Keep Secret
Forget Umbria or Tuscana. Go and stay at Casa Benessere in Le Marche. This is a very special house in spectacularly beautiful scenery. A recent total renovation gives you a large spacious house with no untidy edges. Centre of the house is a big, bright kitchen with a large adjoining dining room. Perfect for groups that like meals to be convivial, uncramped and relaxing. We stayed in the cottage at the top of the property - superb beds, well finished and sensational views. For yoga / pilates / exercise enthusiasts the house boasts one of the most beautiful spaces you will find anywhere - a vaulted, uncluttered space with amazing full height window views over the country immediately below and far into the distance. From the house there are great walking and biking trails and, this being Italy, numerous cultural attractions. In May, when we were there, peace reigns - the roads are quiet, the many trails empty of other tourists, the house an oasis of tranquility. Getting there is relatively straightforward as Ancona Airport is on the 'right' side of town. Of course Italian roads are seldom great but always have the big advantage of being wide! Our hosts took us out twice for really excellent meals in surrounding towns. For groups with diverse sporting, cultural & gourmand interests this house will cater for every holiday wish - in a stunning, peaceful setting.

Teaching Yoga at Casa Benessere
I recently taught yoga at Casa Benessere, it was the most amazing venue, the old farm houses have been done up so beautifully and tastefully and all set in the most magical surroundings.
The yoga studio looked out over a stunning view I'm sure a lot of the time that's why everyone looked so mesmerized during the classes.
The local restaurants where we ate were delicious and the owners the most interesting and charming people.
With amazing Italian coffees and ice cold prosecco just down the road in the wee village and the peaceful seclusion of the house I couldn't dream up a more idyllic place to be. x

Rest and Relaxation
Casa Benessere is a great place to relax and recharge. It is situated in a beautiful part of Italy, an area which I knew little about before visiting.
The farmhouse is spacious and although all rooms were occupied, it never felt overcrowded.
The bedrooms and en-suites are all to a high standard, and the lounge is a great place to hang out or watch a DVD, especially with a real fire on a cold evening.
Meals in the dining area were very lively, assisted by the chef's delicious food and local wine!
The large pool had plenty of sunbeds for all the guests and amazing views of the surrounding countryside.
The studio is a great space, and our group used it for yoga classes although I could see it having many other uses. It too has large windows overlooking the beautiful countryside.
I would definitely recommend Casa Benessere for a holiday stay!

Beautifully appointed, beautifully situated
Casa Benessere is a wonderful house and property, and easily exceeds expectations of the photos. The property owners were genial to deal with, and their caretakers were really helpful. There was much to explore in the region, and, even though we went in August, the area was delightfully bereft of other tourists. Mainly Italians. We have several runners, and most of the routes are challenging, but we managed. The available bikes were useful for the rest. The kitchen was the absolute best we've ever had...a big bonus. We were there for two weeks, and it was not nearly enought!

The perfect holiday for us.
Quiet & tranquil. 10 of us stayed and the house was so big that we all felt like we were still in seperate hotels. We lost ourselves in the enormous house and grounds. The beds were huge and very comfy and every room has an ensuite, so no sharing. Most of our time was spent laying by the pool reading books in the sunshine and absorbing the stunning scenery. We went for a few short drives around the local area and explored small villages that looked abandoned but weren't. The roads are quiet, so there were no dramas with driving. We also strolled along the local walks and just took it all in.
The kitchen is fantastic, we cooked almost every lunch and evening meal in the house except one. One night we had a local chef come to the house and cook for us, it was great. There is a large town (San Severino) only 10 mins away to do all your grocery shopping and not having any Italian was ok as you could work out most of what you wanted from looking and pointing. The locals were very accomodating. We will be back another time, it was such a relaxing and peaceful part of Italy.
