Very scenic camping area, I'm surprised this camping site is not mentioned in the top ten places to camp is Iceland. We loved everything about it
It would be nice to get a new dryer, the one they have seem to be clogged and took forever to dry our loundry.

Hele sfeervolle accommodatie op een super mooie locatie. Eigenaresse was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Douches en toiletten waren ruim en schoon.
4.2
posizione romantica, immersa nella natura, molto silenziosa. belle casette!
non un vero glamping ma un campeggio in piena regola, assai spartano. le casette sono prive di lenzuola! pulizia della cucina così così

I have stayed in one of these properties before and was happy to return. The location is excellent and the surrounding scenery stunning. For a short stay these properties are ideal. I would be happy to use them again. It's hard to imagine a more beautiful place to stay on Vestmannaeyjar and yet we were still close enough to the centre to be able to walk to restaurants/bars etc.
I had stayed in one of the 'burrows' before and knew that it did not offer a toilet, but that you could walk up to the shared toilets in the main building. This time we had a cabin and the write-up on booking.com stated that it had a private bathroom so I had assumed that as the cabins are a little bigger, they came with bathroom facilities. When I asked, I was told that 'private toilet facilities' meant that the shared facilities on-site were private to users of the campsite not the general public. This needs to be better explained. It is probably worth also making it clearer that users must bring their own bedding or pay for bedding when they arrive as this is not made very clear on the instructions. Perhaps I should have realised as it is advertised as glamping and camping, but the first time I went I had not realised and had missed where it said this on the instructions. As I was coming for a second time I knew to bring bedding so it was not a problem.

I loved the beds. They were quite comfortable. The location is amazing -- right in a volcano! The facilities for bathroom and kitchen were clean. Overall - great experience.

We enjoyed our stay & the staff was really nice and helpful. The house we stayed in was spacious for two people and clean. The public space, to cook & eat, had everything we needed and the bathrooms were very clean. I recommend a stay at Glamping and camping.
4.2
Very nice room and wonderful position
3 bathrooms (only one with the shower) are too few for the entire camping

Great location and scenic surroundings. The barrel accommodation is super cute, if a little on the small size.
The camp kitchen has very basic facilities for cooking - very similar in standard to a basic backpacker hostel. Of the three staff members we had dealings with, one was very pleasant. A little customer service goes a long way.

The setting was beautiful! Many in our group of 13 thought this accommodation were a highlight of the trip. We all hiked the mountains surrounding the facility for the amazing views.
The kitchen area was adequate but not great.

Location is great! Love the mountains are in the backdrop. Bathroom is clean, the room has quite a bit space considering it is glamping. Heater is great!
The kitchen and common dining area is a bit outdated look. They require shoes off once entering, but I feel the floor is not that clean. No paper towel in bathroom after hand wash, a bit inconvenient.

Quiet, clean, very comfortable bed, most beautiful location

The location is simply amazing, nobody should miss it when coming to Vestmannaeyjar. I booked the deluxe cabin, and it was excellent. The bathroom and kitchen are in the main building. Everything is very clean. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.
Electric camping stoves in the kitchen could use an upgrade.
4.2
friendliness and helpfulness of staff
loved everything

My “big barrel” was very comfy and warm. It was decorated in a very homey fashion...... loved it! The kitchen, dining area , showers and toilet were immaculately clean. The lady owner was very sweet and accommodating. The isolated location under the mountains was a sight to be seen.
The was a bit of a distance to the shared toilets.
4.2
The showers were great... clean.. easy to adjust.. someone set to the right amount of hot water since no further adjustments could be made and cleaner and much bigger than I would have expected. There are only three but I think its enough considering .... maybe at the peak season there might be a slight wait for one... but who knows..
The kitchen area is large.. well stocked and an extra value
The washer and dryer could be better... there are only one of each..... should not be a cost to this... just add and extra dollar or two the room price and instructions or translated setting would help a lot. Trying to determine what was happening to the cycles in Icelandic is not easy.

Excellent location close to town, but in a serene location right in Herjólfsdalur with nearby trails up the mountain, and grazing sheep! Although I did not do the hike due to windy conditions, it was highly recommended by staff!
Very cute and cozy cabins, and good shared kitchen and bathroom facilities just a short walk away.

The little cabins are adorable and soo warm and cozy. Beautiful location and the woman working was so kind.
No wifi, but not a huge deal at all and says so when booking.
4.2
Very nice host, great location. Very nice and understanding when personal problems occurred.
Sad that bedlinnen were quite expensive and the beds were only singles that could be shoved together after quite some trouble in the small room.
4.2
I liked how cozy and warm the rooms were
There was no receptionist and we did not have a cell phone so it took a while to check in
4.2
Beautiful setting…. simply stunning. Very clean and easy 5 min drive to downtown area and ferry. Good communication and easy checkin. Staff extremely nice.
4.2
Great location and very clean.
Black pillows and cover in room was dirty. Black fuzzy attracts, maybe find a better solution that can be changed with each guest.

Love the landscape view 😍

The cabin was a descent size for 2 persons, it felt safe, it was quiet at night, the location is amazing, the room was clean, the set of pillow, duvet, sheets and towel was clean and fresh. The staff was very welcoming
This is my second time visiting and the place should have at least 2 more showers and toilets. This time there wasn't many people camping but it's still a bit stressful when going in the morning. Also the door locks should say when a room is occupied so people aren't trying to open the shower or toilet room while is being used.

Haven’t been in cute a place where you sleep between mountains and greenery all around. The cabins are very beautiful and spacious enough. Showers, kitchen, washing machines etc all worked well and are close to the cabins even if you’re in the furthest ones. HIGHLY recommend you choose these cabins over the other travel hostel in the area just to wake up with these views. FYI it’s also near the sea shore which is also beautiful.
Just watch your head going in and out because the cabins’ doors are very low. We also would’ve enjoyed napkins or tissues inside the cabins. Bring your sheets , duvets and pillows because it will cost you a whopping $16/ ISK 1600 per bed to rent them. There is also no wifi in the facilities.
4.2
The location! The cosy huts, with heating and comfy duvets that keep you warm.
Amazing helpful staff.
No oven in the kitchen.
Not enough spoons
No wifi at all
4.2
Very nice location, only short walk from centre/ferry terminal.
Fast, efficient check-in and helpful, friendly staff.
4.2
excellent location; very clean; very helpful staff
may run out off hot water when lots of people taking shower at the same time.

Our absolute favorite accommodation in Iceland! Super nice and cozy huts. Well maintained, spotless clean. Shared facilities also clean. Would definitely come back!
You have to pay extra to rent bedding and towels, but the accommodation communicated that on time.
