We thoroughly enjoyed our time at La Bergerie. We loved the winding roads leading to its remote location and the views from the house are breathtaking and calming. It was fun to explore the region from sellaines - Cannes, st maxime, Antibes are all about an hour away - but we always appreciated returning to the peaceful quiet of this house and its surroundings. we also visited a few vineyards and loved the many perched villages, especially mons which we discovered on our way out.
We appreciated the simple but tasteful decor of the house- white with blue accents. It was a perfect canvas for us to make our own memories. The kitchen is small - a one person kitchen really - but equipped with anything you might need. The covered outdoor porch always cooled down in time for lovely dinners.
It was very hot for 3 days while we were there and we lived in the pool and would not have survived without it. At night the many fans helped. Our only suggestions would be getting heavier umbrella bases as there were several windy days and even strapped down, umbrellas were knocked over.
Thank you for opening your home to us! We would definitely recommend!

The villa is large and well-equipped; although requires some modernising, updating and repair. The setting is peaceful & relaxing, the pool is lovely. Take bug spray! It’s a shame the town is not in walking distance due to the steep mountain road.
The pool area is in need of repair-loose coping stones and broken steps leading to the pool, uneven flooring. Indoors, the downstairs rooms get really hot, and we had difficulty opening doors and windows for ventilation. In the kitchen, the fridge & freezer could do with updating.
However, there’s a lovely balcony seating area, beautiful views, and a peaceful setting which felt safe for a family holiday.

We had a wonderful time at the villa in July. The property manager was very accommodating and helpful, and the house was very clean and relaxing. Our family of five, including three young children, swam in the pool over and over again. We loved having meals and playing board games on the porch overlooking the valley. Supply runs to the grocery store in Seillans were easy, and the sleepy village was very charming to walk through and explore. Fayence was a short 15 minute drive away to visit the market and explore as well. I highly recommend staying here, and would stay again.

The house is located on the side of a hill outside the village of Seillans in Provence Alpes-Cote d'Azur. The views were amazing. The house itself was very well appointed with everything we could need. The accommodation suited our 3 families very well as we could be a bit separate. The swimming pool was glorious and allowed endless entertainment for our small grandchildren. Recommendations for places to visit and restaurants were provided which were very useful.
Thank you Debbie and Neil.

It is a beautiful house with a wonderful garden, and peaceful surroundings. It was the perfect retreat, offering relaxation and tranquility. Highly recommended for a memorable getaway.
A note however: the description of the advertisement should in future make it clearer that the pool is heated only at an additional cost.

I rented the house together with my husband, our one year old and four friends. We opted to get the guest house too as our baby wakes early. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed. Was a bit afraid when I realised it doesn’t have AC but it was cool enough for sure during night - open windows with mosquito nets and fans did the trick. Would love to come back!

Our Stay at in Seillans
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were two couples with three children and assorted friends. The house easily accommodated us for our two week stay. The owners have made many nice touches to make it not just a rental but a very warm, homey experience. And they left many wonderful suggestions for things to do. Seillans is charming. If you are looking to experience the Cote D' Azur, but want to also be a bit away from it all, this is a great option.

We stayed for a week in la Bergerie with 6 adults. It is a very charming, tastefully decorated house in a nice quiet place with a beautiful view and close to several nice places. The house is fully equipped. There are two bathrooms in the main house. Deborah is an attentive hostess.

The most wonderful stay in Provence
The house was enchanting, Deborah the most caring host one could wish for. We deeply enjoyed every day the diverse views out of the house as well as countless possibilities to retreat in the garden.
Special thanks to Kiki, without whom we would not have been able to enjoy this house.

Perched in Provence
Our family spent a week at La Bergerie in August. despite the predictable crowds in Provence, we experienced quiet beauty in a home with everything we could ask for and more. I’ve been a regular VRBO user for easily 15 years. This home surpassed all prior experiences. It is set outside of a beautiful perched village with olive groves and vineyards and vistas all around. The home has multiple patios and decks to relax with wine and a good book for those days you don’t wander off to see the beach, or a nearby market, museum, etc. it is tastefully furnished with a thoughtful, creative eye and worked very well for a family of two parents and three adult children.

Beautiful Villa
This is a beautiful villa in a beautiful part of France. It's equipped with everything you need for a short or long stay. I can't think of anything that I could say was missing. We enjoyed many a day visiting the local hilltop villages as well as just lazying around the superb pool. Most evenings were spend eating dinner on the veranda and watching the night sky. I highly recommend the villa for anyone wanting to visit this part of France.

A fabulous get away from it all villa!
We arrived at the villa late at night, in the middle of a thunderstorm, and were delighted to come through the door of such a warm and welcoming home.
Luckily the storm passed, and when we woke the next morning we opened the shutters to the most amazing views! They totally take your breath away.
We only had a short visit but will definitely be back. It is a stunning villa in a beautiful location and we can't wait for our next trip.
The perfect place to recharge your batteries!

I Thought I had Died and Gone To Heaven
A small group of us had decided to take a long weekend in the South of France to relax and enjoy each others company. Heaven itself could have provided a better solution. Le Bergerie just outside Seillans is an idyllic retreat, beautiful views, peaceful and everything it promised to be in the description. Clean, tasteful and a real home. It was easy to find the given the instructions and everything was ready when we arrived. I would have no hesitation in recommending it to good friends and relatives but only if they promise to take me with them, this is a place you would visit again and again. We walked down to the beautiful village a few times to visit the amazing Chez Hugo's which was recommended by the owners. Fantastic food, ambience and staff. I could go on and on but my advice would be try it for you self!!

Beautiful French villa in the South of France
We have visited La Bergerie a couple of times before and every time we come we are amazed by the beauty of the area and the stunning vistas from the terraces of the Villa.
La Bergerie is so comfortable and has everything you could possibly need for a stay any time of year. The owners are constantly making improvements, this year there is a lovely decking area with fabulous sofas where you can relax and enjoy the sunshine.
We enjoyed day trips into Cannes, Nice and St. Tropez. We are already trying to find a time when we can come back and enjoy this fabulous home away from home.

Perfect Provence Villa!
We loved this villa (family of 7 - all ages), it's perfectly formed, tastefully furnished, and has everything you need for a wonderful vacation. Location is idyllic, with great views and a short trip down the hills into the pretty village of Seillans, with lot's of larger towns/chateau's & activities only a short drive away. Would definitely recommend and hope to stay again. :-))

Stunning Provencal villa
When we arrived we were blown away by the beautiful view from the terrace of the villa all the way down to the sea. The pool and gardens are lovely, we particularly liked all the different sitting areas and terraces around the property, particularly the deck area with comfortable sofas, lots of places to enjoy a glass of rosé in the evening. The villa is very well equipped and the beds are supremely comfortable. The location is a great base to discover the area, we had a day trip to Antibes and St. Tropez. The neighboring village of Fayence has a great market and Seillans has a couple of wonderful restaurants. The Villa manager could not have been more welcoming and helpful. I could happily recommend this Villa to my friends and will definitely be booking a return trip.

Fantastic Property
La Bergerie is an amazing house with excellent facilities. We thoroughly enjoyed relaxing by the pool, dining on the terrace, playing boules and enjoying the stunning views out over the countryside. The house is close to the lovely little village of Seillans which has some brilliant restaurants and little shops. The great location of the house meant that we could easily go and explore many different places during our stay including Gorges du Verdon (1hr drive), Cannes, (1hr drive) and Lac de Saint-Cassien (30mins drive). Debbie (the owner) was fantastic and the booking/payment/check-in/check-out processes were very straightforward. Highly recommended!

Relaxing at Le Bergerie
What a beautiful, peaceful and relaxing villa with everything you could wish for. It was terrific sitting on the decking in the shade, listening to the birds and admiring the panoramic view. The interior is crisp and Debbie and Neil have thought of everything for our stay to make our holiday stress free. It was difficult to prise ourselves away from the pool and gardens to explore the area - when we did there was so much to see and do from markets, to vineyards, to watersports and of course, eating fantastic food. We will be back.

La Bergerie- stunning views to the Mediterranean
We arrived in less than a hour from Nice airport climbing up the hillside to La Bergerie that nestles among olive, fig and apricot trees. The views to the Mediterranean are absolutely breathtaking as they are of the local vegetation of Cypress and pine trees.
The property was tastefully furnished and was fresh and inviting. The house manager had been in regular contact and organised a starter shopping pack that was as agreed so we were immediately installed and our holiday began.
In our hire car we explored the neighbouring village in Fayance and the weekly market where we got local produce. There is a beautiful church we went into. We also had dinner at one of the many outstanding restaurants. We spent a day in beautiful Antibes where we went to the market and had a fresh seafood lunch at a beach club restaurant.
We also made an early journey to St Tropez to the twice weekly market - as before we made some beautiful purchases of clothing and home pieces. We then spent the day at Club 55 where we had a delicious lunch and people and boat watched!
This was our second visit to La Bergerie and we thought it even more beautiful and still so many new places to explore. We even managed a personal yoga session on the stunning decking - great start to our day. The house is a perfect base from which to explore the surrounding area or just chill by the pool with amazing views.
The property is equipped to a very high standard and managed extremely well with no request being too much trouble.
We will definitely visit again next year.

A fantastic holiday home
This is the second time I have stayed at this beautiful home set in the mountains and this stay did not disappoint if anything it was better second time around.
The owners have made a number of improvements since I last stayed, my favourite being the stunning deck area where you can sit for hours taking in the fantastic views which surround the property. This is not the only area where you can sit and relax, there seems to be so many in and around the property.
The pool was very clean, inviting and refreshing. We made use of it every day as the weather was lovely.
The owners have paid great attention to detail and the house is very well decorated and the beds extremely comfortable. It was so nice to wake up every morning to the gentle sound of birds.
The gardens are well maintained and the calming smell of lavender is a bonus.
This is such a special place to come to on holiday and I shall look forward to booking this house again.

5 star luxury
A very easy drive from Nice airport to the warm, fresh and clean house with everything ready for our arrival. We even had a wood burner for the colder evenings. Crisp bed linen and incredibly comfortable beds with a beautiful view from our bedroom window every morning.
So much to do in this area, from walks, markets, good restaurants to just relaxing and eating outdoors.
A great find and we will be back - thank you Debbie and Neil

Glorious house
This house is truly idyllic. Our family of 5 had plenty of room and took full advantage of the late Autumn sunshine to swim (too cold for me!), play boules, walk, run and relax.
Plenty of room to park the car and bikes, board games to play and a wood burner for the colder evenings. Along with English language television there was plenty to keep two teenage boys and a toddler happy.
The view is so glorious that we didn't want to leave the house and only managed a little sightseeing to Seillans and Fayennce. Both are wonderful, with Fayennce being a little more lively but the market is very expensive so do ask prices before you order! However, a glass of wine on the dining terrace, watching the gliders and listening to the sounds of the wild boar beats any sightseeing!
The house is beautifully decorated but not so that you don't feel you can relax, and the throws on each chair were well used to snuggle up in the cool evenings.
The information book is comprehensive and full of information about the house and surrounding area.
This is the most wonderful place to chill out, relax and reconnect with family.

La Bergerie
La Bergerie, situated just outside the pretty village of Seillans affords the most wonderful views across the hills down towards the coast. Beautifully and very comfortably furnished the owners have filled their home with thoughtful touches for their guests. A very peaceful and relaxed setting. It is in an ideal spot from which to explore the South of France without being too close to the built up areas of the Cote d'Azur. Wonderful markets to visit including nearby Fayence and Draguignon where you shouldn't miss having lunch at Les Mille Colonnes in Place aux Herbes. Only forty minutes from the beaches and more restaurants. Sainte Maxime is particularly worth a visit, lovely cobbled streets full of tempting restaurants and shopping and only a stone's throw from the beach. Seillans itself has several restaurants including Chez Hugo where we had delicious meals of locally sourced food. The quality of the local shops was excellent and we had a several great barbecues on the terrace balcony. Stopping off for lunch at Mougins on the way home sealed a really lovely family holiday. Just wish we could have stayed longer! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend La Bergerie as a great base for a family holiday. Thank you.
