We had a great week at Stephen’s house. We were two families, four adults and four kids (7-12). The house has everything we needed, the pool and garden area is big and very accessible. The house is located in a calm residential area with several supermarkets and bakery just a few minutes away by car. The communication with Stephen (the owner) and Peter (house manager) was quick and easy. We would come back.

The property was exactly as described, The rooms were all lovely, the kitchen incrediably well stocked with everything we needed (and more). The garden was specious, the pool wonderful. Well located for the local village (which we adored visiting) and for further afield. It was the perfect holiday and the villa was everything we wanted and needed.

Gorgeous house and garden
We spent a fortnight here in August and had a great time. The pool is a really good size for a large group and the pool side furniture plentiful and stylish. The grounds are a particularly lovely feature with lots of mature trees and abundant natural shade. Inside, the house was characterful and comfortable, and very peaceful. The air conditioning in the bedrooms was very welcome as we had excellent weather throughout our stay. Lots to see in the local towns and villages and also handy for the coast and airport.

Superb well presented Villa
My wife and I have rented around 10 or 12 pretty pricey Villas in the last 9 years of visiting the South of France, this one is without doubt the best presented and maintained and offers excellent value. It has a superb child friendly good size pool. Frejus beach is a gem, great local restaurants. Owners and local man Peter are a delight to deal with.

Just perfect!
Where should I start?... In short: we had a fantastic holiday in Amanda's wonderful property.
Lovely house, huge and well-maintained garden, perfect pool, calm surroundings,... All in top condition, very clean and comfy. A veeery nice place to spend holidays!
Communication with Amanda was quick, friendly and uncomplicated. The people looking after the house have been very nice as well: Peter who welcomed us, the gardener and his wife, the poolguy... All very friendly and helpful.
The only very slight downside was the slow internet connection. For people traveling with teenagers and/or having to keep connected with business, it might be a point to keep in mind. That being said, it's manageable and probably helps taking it easy. ;-)
In one (or two) workds: highly recommended!

A stunning, very private villa in amazing grounds
This villa is really tucked away in a very exclusive residential area and not the easiest place to find! However, there is no doubt about it, this is a very beautiful villa - very traditional in style and decor and incredibly spacious. The layout is brilliant if you are two groups / families travelling together, with two rooms upstairs with their own bathroom and two downstairs and again their own bathroom. The kitchen is very well-equipped and the dining room / lounge enormous. The best bit for us though was the outside dining area, the gardens and pool. Having a huge fridge outside was so brilliant and the BBQ, as we just lived at the pool all day and ate outside in the evenings. It would have been even better to have equipment placed in the draws that would prevent having to bring stuff outside all the time - corkscrew, cutlery, breadknife etc. However this is just a suggestion that would make it much better as would a hob attachment for the BBQ! The pool is amazing and a great design especially with children. Very shallow beach style at one end, very very deep in the middle and with a ledge all around the edge so that you can stand at the edge. Our 3 year old learnt to swim during the week we stayed! The trampoline was fantastic and entertained the children for hours, although some sort of netting might have allowed us to relax a little more! The children were so happy though thus happy parents. The garden is enormous and very well kept , a delight to wake up and see it. We had a few niggles during the week such as with the new lighting system, plumbing and WiFi, but these were resolved as quickly as possible and to the best of the responsible agent's ability. Overall, this was a truly wonderful place to stay and very memorable. It is alot of money for a week but well worth it for sure!

Stunning escape!
Together with my fiancee we were on a last minute lookout for a weeks holiday in Southern-France (not a too far journey from Switzerland). We stumbled upon this house which intrigued us with its romantic and typical house style and its little parc which sounded just perfect.
Amanda was exceptionally quick in replying to my enquiry and organised everything for us to partically sit in the car and driving south.
We can only acknowledge to the several 5* reviews that have been made for this Villa. We felt at home away from home immediately. The house is really lovely with its big garden, nice flowers and big old trees which give you a nice escape from the stunning summer heat. The big pool is fantastic, big and deep enough to swim and play around. The house itself is comfortable equipped with everything you need and the romantic french style makes you feel like at home. We can recommend the villa with no exception!
Next time we will be booking earlier though ...

What a Summer Holiday
This is an oasis in the South of France, while it is situated within striking distance of the beaches on the Med, we could only drag ourselves away from the beautiful villa and surrounds a couple of times each week. Its a great base to explore the Provence interior or just to retreat in comfort surrounded by a house and garden that is perfect for a large family. Superclean and very well kitted out...book it if you can.

It was such a pleasure to spend two weeks in your charming Provencal Villa. We were familiar with the area and must say that the Villa impressed us. It was exactly what we were looking for: so authentic and tastefully decorated, yet very practical, fully equipped. It all simply felt right and has been the perfect place this summer for our family to rejoin and spend time together. Peter the villa manager is extremely efficient and the house is very well maintained. We loved the huge beautiful garden and the children never had enough of it and the pool. We explored the exquisite villages of the area, went canyoning, enjoyed the restaurants you recommended, a day in Cannes, a visit to Biot… Great home, great location, we will be back!

Gorgious house in a real peacefull area. The peacefull garden, the charming decoration.. evrything makes you coming and coming again in this heaven. Everything is perfect : nice garden, beautifull swimmingpool (perfect for young children), huge BBQ, all the playground : trampoline, petanque, badmington...) everything contributes to spend wonderfull holidays. The stage manager is available in case of problem at any time.

July 2010
This is a great house in a lovely part of Provence. We had a large party, mainly of children ranging in age from 17 to 12, all of whom had a great time. The pool is wonderful and there 's plenty of space in the garden, though I think it might be a tight squeeze in the house for 10 people unless some of them are very young. 8-9 people is optimum. We had great days on the lake, kayaking and pedalloing, and there's a fun aquatic park there too. A couple of evenings in lovely Fayence and another in Cannes. Sadly no time to explore more. We would definitely go back.

Beautiful place and lots of space
This place is a real treat for a big curious family like ours that needed both relaxation and possibilities for exploring the region. The beautiful area of Var and the quiet and private location of the villa is a really nice holiday-mix. The villa is perfect for two couples with both small and bigger kids, it would have been a bit crowdy if we where 8 tall people, and two little ones, like the plan was, but as we where two couples and two single adults it was very spacy:-).
The place was clean, well maintained and did not miss anything listed in the description. We were met by a very nice manager, and the communication with the owner has been very good, and their friendlyness has been overwhelming.
The information we got from the owners about the fascilities in the area helped us out a lot, and we enjoyed both the trips to Grasse and Fayence, as well as the local pizza-place.
The feeling of just waking up, passing the kitchen and picking up something to eat (the kitchen contains whatever you need to cook good meals), and place yourself in the hammock or by the big pool was highly satisfying. The fridge in the summerkitchen, with crushed-ice-possibilities, was in much use, and helped when the weather was really hot. The summerkitchen was in use every day, and all the meals in the house where eaten at this loveley place.
Some minor things where lacking, but these where not mentioned in the prospect either, but with such a beautiful pool it was a pity that the lights around and within did not work, and that the poolshower was not working, but these are minor things that has little to say for the all over pleasure of the stay.
I hope we will come back here some time. We have already recommended this place to friends and family.

Something for everyone !
We have now been back from our holiday in your beautiful house in France for over a week and I just wanted to let you know that we all loved your house, and had an absolutely wonderful holiday.
The villa far exceeded our expectations, the children (of all ages!) adored the pool - and there were so many shady corners to keep everyone happy - the 17 year old that "hates the heat" managed to get a wi-fi connection from the shade of the hammock - so even he was happy (when we managed to get him out of the pool!) - and everyone, without exception, enjoyed the thrill of the white water rafting !
Peter was very helpful - although we only actually had to call on him once, when we ran out of gas for the very well used barbeque.!
Thank you so much for allowing us to share your home in France.

our wonderful provencal experience
Ok so you want a fantastic holiday with a gorgeous villa and fabulous pool in the South of France? Then this is a no-brainer... I have travelled to many places, but I can truly say that this destination and venue were perfect. You will not be disappointed. The villa is well maintained with gorgeous gardens, barbeque and spacious well designed interiors. And the location... so good- I saw Brad Pitt who was driving past - he has a holiday home in the area. Fantastic small villages with lovely small boutiques and really good restaurants- and don't forget the beaches which are a short drive away. I will definitely be back!!

Relax in Provence
We, as a family had one of our best holidays ever in this lovely Provencal home. The owner provided very clear directions on how to get there from Nice airport so no stress involved there. The house was immaculate and very well maintained and there was ample provision of bed linen and towels. It is a beautiful house which is well equipped with everything a family needs to ensure a comfortable stay. There are plenty of books for all tastes so no need to bring any with you. The gardens are spacious and well maintained and the space is big enough to find a private corner for a snooze or a quiet hour (or two)! The pool is excellent for all the family, even kids can have a paddle at the shallow end.
The nearby villages and towns are very pretty and all have good places to eat. Fayennce which is only 5 mins drive away has a market which sells everything from cheeses, fish, fruit and veg to all kinds of local crafts and St Tropez type gear every Tue Thurs and Sat. There are several good restaurants here with reasonably priced menus.
We enjoyed exploring hillside villages such as Claviers and Sayenne which are worth visiting for lunch or just a drink.
Local supermarkets are within 10 mins drive and have an excellent range of international foods and of course lots of well priced vin!!
I would recommend this lovely home to all my friends.

Idyllic Escape: Far from the Maddening Crowd
It was a wonderfully restful break from the rush of urban life. The tranquil settings actually helped us all to unwind an settle into a idyllic pace of life. The house if professionally looked after and everything was in perfect working order. We even managed to light the fireplace wihtout havign had much experience! The garden was lovely with spring peeping round the corner and if you are like me and lvoe to peer at every little detail of life on the turf, there is plenty to see. Although it was too chilly to get into the pool it looked very invtiing and many hours of blissful reading were spent by it. The trampoline was great for grown up kids like me. As you bounce up and down, you can take in more of the surroundings as well. The house is sitauted in a convenient part of the hills where access is available in all directions expeically if you favour Michelin star food and wine. Three were within two hours' drive and well worth the drive through the scenic route. 5 minutes away is also a mega market in which all the urban amenities are right at your finger tips. With the location of the house, we travelled all the way to Menton on the Italian border, Nice, CAnnes and of course St Tropez. The roads make for very good and easy driving. EVen the right hand drive car did not bother me.

A Provencal property you will want to return to.
Having holidayed in France on a number of occasions we were blown away by this beautiful property. Ourselves and another family spent two weeks there. During the first week the privacy of the location and the great pool meant that we never really felt the need to leave apart from to re-stock.
We were particularly impressed with the gardens, the sheer size of which allowed the adults to have a quiet game of boule while the kids could play badminton or have a bounce on the trampoline. A shady hammock was available for an afternoon siesta.
The house itself was spacious and really well equipped. During the heat of the day inside was shady and cool. In the evenings we loved the outdoor kitchen with its brilliant barbecue.
As far as location was concerned this property is perfectly situated for exploring the pretty hilltop villages in the area. At the same time we were accessible to the coast and the nearby lakes where our children loved the water sports.
For a family holiday we feel this place is hard to beat. We would certainly love to return.

Our private piece of Provence
Part of me wants to keep this house a secret as we hope to be able to return for more summers to come. We had the best family holiday with 5 kids and an endless stream of visitors last July.
Space was important to us. A large and secure outdoor area that our kids could run wild in, plus generous living space that allowed everyone to enjoy some private time and a big modern kitchen for my foodie husband.
Location was the next big draw. Provence is big with summer traffic a nightmare. Altho' we liked having lots of space, we didn't want to be isolated and driving for ages to go sightseeing. The house is 10 mins. away from the pretty hillside villages and markets. Grasse, Cannes, the beaches of Frejus are quick easy drives as well. And there were lots of activities for the kids nearby like horseback riding. We even managed to get a spa day for the girls at the plush Four Seasons Resort.
The owners obviously have children as the house has been thoughtfully equipped to handle small guests. Big pluses include the trampoline in the garden, and broadband connection helped keep the peace as the youngest and the oldest of our kids were all happily catered for.
While I wanted the rustic charm of an authentic Provencal stone house, I could do without the "authenticity" of saggy old French mattresses and pillows, or the horror of an ancient bathroom. Thankfully the amenities and fixtures all looked new and modern. New beds, sheets, modern bathrooms and even the pots and pans looked like they were newly bought. This was a huge relief for the OCD in me.
