El Jardin Secreto is a spacious, beautifully modernised villa, set in private gardens.
It has everything you need for a fantastic holiday including a poolside 'Tiki Bar' with a family table and barbecue/cooking/fridge/music facilities for fun-filled nights outside under the stars.
Free Internet is supplied at the villa.
Air conditioning is in all bedrooms and lounge area. These units also supply warm air for cooler days in Winter months. Mosquito nets are in place at every window.The windows are modern, metal sliding windows.
We have tried to think of everything as there are even 2 sets of golf clubs for you to hire should you fancy a round on one if the beautiful local courses.
If you stay longer than 1 week the agency send a maid to change the bedlinen.

The pool area near the house has fantastic space for 8 sun beds with mattresses and further tables and chairs.

There is a fabulous Tiki Bar area in the garden with a gas barbecue and gas stove for dining.The long modern dining table and 8 chairs outside are perfect for eating and socialising outdoors.
There is a safe fitted at the villa for peace of mind during your stay. The villa is very private and sits behind beautiful tall wooden gates with a security number for your holiday privacy.
It is a very private place to be and no close neighbours who ask you to turn your favourite music down outside if you want to dance around the pool at night! It is a place to chill out and have fun.
The excellent configuration of the bedrooms provides perfect accommodation for 2 families of four [extra bed available as well as 2 cots and a highchair, all of which can be hired] One bedroom with an en-suite is located on one side of the house and the other en-suite double room is on the other side of the one storey house. This is then separated from the 1st twin with the bathroom area.
The villa is bright,modern and fantastically equipped throughout. You will never be short of glasses here!
The gardens are a unique feature of this lovely house and surround the villa to include stunning trees and shrubs with wonderful colours all year. second time visiting this lovely villa. the location for us is ideal. communication with the owner was very good as we had an issue with the kettle not working, another was soon brought over. the pool is great to play in and cool off. there are 2 shops withing walking distance - Lidl & Aldi around a 10v minute walk.

We were a large family group of 9, including 3 grandchildren, 11 months, 4 and 7 years. We all spent alot of time in the big pool which was in the sunshine all day, and we had all of our meals outside cooking on the bbq and 2 rings.
The beautiful gardens were very well kept and the kids loved picking up the lemons.
I loved seeing the mountains from the pool and from the back bedroom. A nearby new build has partially blocked the view of the sea and Nerja.
It was so handy having Lidl so close for supplies and choice of products.
We all enjoyed our holiday at the villa and might even return again one day.
The only thing missing from the description was any handwash in any bathroom, and it would have been good to have a scourer or dishcloth in the kitchen on arrival.
Some of the younger members of the family walked into Nerja - and also crazily walked back! Not me!

The villa is fantastic, 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, ample space for 7 ladies. Kitchen supplied with a vast array of utensils, crockery etc. Added bonus of dishwasher and washing machine. The jewel in the crown is the outside Tiki bar with sink, fridge, gass bbq and outside hob, also a shaded outside seating area as well as comfortable sun lounges and seating.
The villa is about a 30 minute walk into town, we jumped a cab in most nights for €7 but walked in during the day if we could drag ourselves away from the fabulous pool.
Villas spotlessly clean on arrival and pool maintenance comes twice a week and tends the beautiful garden also.
Had the best week in an amazing villa a d fabulous hosts, always quick to respond to any questions i had regarding the booking both before and during the holiday, can highly recommend!

The villa was perfect for our holiday with our two young grandchildren. The villa was lovely and spacious and the pool and bbq and bar area was fantastic. We had a brilliant time our first time in nerja and would recommend it to anyone looking for a family holiday in this area.There was plenty to see and do and nerja has some lovely beaches. Thanks for a lovely stay and we will be back at some stage !

We were a group of 2 parents and 4 young adults and we found the villa to be absolutely perfect for us. The pool area and outdoor cooking and seating facilities were the best that we have enjoyed at a villa. Plenty of space for everyone and an extremely private setting, perfect for late night music and drinks. The bedroom layout suited us perfectly as 3 couples, but would also easily accomodate 2 families comfortably. There is absolutely everything that you would need in this villa, including a pantry of basics that is very handy. The proximity to Nerja is easily walkable for the physically fit or 7/8 euro for a taxi. The lidl is a 5 minute walk and more than caters for all your self catering needs. Remember to bring tea bags and squash with you!! We enjoyed a vip kayaking tour from Maro beach with David from localexperiencesandadventures. (He also picked us up from the villa as we discovered that we were neighbours!) Maro beach is tricky to get to, only licenced vehicles are allowed. Burriana beach is a lovely day out, plenty of sunbeds and water activities, lined with restaurants and good toilet facilities, walkable in around 30 mins from the villa. We also went to Aquavelis waterpark for the day, taxi transport there was expensive as we were 6 people but if you have a car its a 30 minute drive. You have to buy sunbeds but there is nothing stopping you from laying down towels instead, there was plenty of space when we went, also its worth paying to hire the rubber rings.

8 of us went away for a friends 60th birthday. This was absolutely the perfect place to celebrate and enjoy ourselves without any worries. Been to Nerja before so knew the location and its perfect. 5 minute walk to lidl 20 minutes to town. The villa had everything you could possibly think of a proper home from home. The outside bar area was just perfection to us as we could keep food and drink separate. I would recommend this villa to anyone famoly and friends. If i had 1 minor criticism it would be do away with the sunken bath 😆 not my bag. Fabulous holiday had by all

Have just returned home after a fantastic week at this villa. Stayed with 5 friends who travel for a week of sun every year in Nerja. This has been the BEST villa experience so far 🙂 The villa was spotlessly clean and very well equiped. The outdoor space was superb, with a fantastic outdoor cooking area. Very large pool with comfy loungers. I would highly recommend and will return again in 2024 😎

We are so sad to leave this lovely villa and beautiful Nerja. We have had the most fabulous time. The villa is approx 25 min walk in to Nerja and there is a bus stop nearby on the main road to Nerja or into Frigiliana, which is the most beautiful little town. We most often called a cab to get in to the centre though. In August it is very busy late afternoon into night time in Nerja but early morning to afternoon is great to take in the beautiful setting. My husband and I even walked in early one morning and watched the sun rise on the balcon de Europa. Canyoning on the Rio Verde (with local experiences.es) was magnificent and we would use them again to do kayaking next time.
The pool at the villa is immaculate and the house is so well equipped with utensils etc. Amanda is so quick to respond to any questions or queries. We felt so at home and the kids had a wonderful time with all the space outdoors and in. The outdoor kitchen is a great feature. We have already said we intend to return to this villa in the near future 🤗

Goats to hanging Grapes – A GORGEOUS villa
We enjoyed a truly fabulous family holiday at the villa.
The large pool is very close to the outdoor Tiki Bar, front door and also sun beds, which felt very safe with small children in tow. The shaded gardens (cactus, grapes, pomegranate, lemons, hibiscus, palm tree... to name just a few growing trees – some of which were useful ingredients to add to our Gin & Tonic!) were brilliant for the children to run around during sunny hours. And the single floor of the whole villa, lent itself to a really practical family space.
The rooms are clean and well designed and the kitchen is FULLY equipped, including plasticware and children-size cutlery... all very thoughtful.
The walk into town and the beach is downhill all the way so easy to stroll in. We would get a taxi back up to the villa in the evenings when we were feeling lazy – only around 7 euros between four of us.
At 5pm everyday, the children would run to the villa wall to watch the local farmer and his tribe of around 100 goats trot past... just small things like this will leave lasting holiday memories for little ones.
What a wonderful stay... look forward to returning next year!

The gardens are absolutely beautiful & the Mountain View’s are breath taking & sadly only interrupted by electric wires & pylons...We loved the quirkiness of the villa with its mixture of different styles & colors & the massive front window which framed the view & it looked like a picture postcard! The beds were comfy & there’s a full kitchen which was partially stocked with essentials “a nice touch” the walk to Nerja was approximately 15 mins downhill & we usually got taxis’s back, €5 - €7. No neighbors to worry about so we could stay up late, play loud music & generally ack like children, which made such a difference for our group of middle aged grannies Overall, everyone loved it & swore they’d be back again! You can’t get a much higher recommendation than that. Thank you so much Amanda for allowing us to stay on for an extra few hours on our day of departure.

Lovely "home from home" villa
We were a family of 6 adults and 2 toddlers and this villa was perfect for all of us. Plenty of space, both inside and out, very clean and the flow/layout worked really well. The decor, whilst not modern, is charming and homely. The 19th hole/Tiki Bar and outside bbq were brilliant and we ate outside nearly every day. Having a chef on holiday with us certainly helped. Amanda, the owner, couldn't have been more helpful, from arranging for a bed guard and toddler toilet seat before we arrived, to helping us find a medical centre. The hillside location is lovely, though just a tad far to walk up and down to the town with toddlers, taxis are always available, and Lidl nearby was very useful. When our family went home after two weeks, my husband and I spent a further blissful week alone - it's very peaceful, though the road whilst not busy was a tad noisy from time to time. Our tiny grandsons absolutely loved the pool once they got used to it (they don't have a pool in the garden at home!), and the goats going past in the afternoon was the highlight of their day. Would we return? Yes, definitely.

Lovely garden, and fantastic pool and barbecue area with plenty of room outside for relaxing around the pool. Great views over Nerja to the sea, and also to the mountains behind. Super place, great outdoor area. I would stay again. The VRBO app was an impediment, never sending me the access info or directions or any links working but the owner's were pretty quick at responding. Would be very difficult to access in the dark for the first time (google maps/nav. system in vehicle did NOT take us here) and there could be some more "necessaries" provided in the house (garbage bags, cleaning supplies, beach towels).

Lovely spacious house perfect for our family
Really enjoyed staying here, There was plenty of room for us and our older children. The outside bar area was a big plus, especially as the younger ones could listen to their music out there. Kitchen was well equipped with plenty of crockery etc. The gardens were lovely and the pool was very nice, although we didn’t go in it often as it was icy cold. Very short walk to Lidl and about 20 to 25 minutes into town. Would definitely recommend.

Totally private house with view and sun all day
We spent two winters at Il Jardin Secreto and very much enjoyed our stay. The house is perfect for entertaining or groups of 8 people. The outdoor space is wonderful with sun all day and a pristine pool. We had breakfast outdoor in the sun almost every day even in winter months and use the outdoor kitchen on occasion as well. You can pick lemons and oranges right from the trees. The house is eclectic but very comfortable. Great open living room and kitchen with everything you need to cook. It is only 20 min walk to town or 25 min to the Balcón. Plenty of spanish or fine dining restaurants in town and so close to Granada, Malaga, Sevilla and Cordoba. Only 10 min to Frigiliana, one of the most beautiful Pueblo Blanco village of Andalucía. The Nerja Caves are not to be missed. Beaches also within walking distance. A car is a good idea but not necessary. The owners are responsive and caring. They attended to every question and needs in a timely manner. We definitely recommend this house for your stay on the costa del sol.

Stayed at villa for a week in October,30 mins from beaches walking,supermarket 10 mins,walking.not bad view of mountain,sea view obscured by power lines and tower close by.accomadatoin dated bit tired looking,had problem with water coming in through window frames when it rained heave .

Excellent family villa
We spent two wonderful weeks in this villa! Almost all of it outside - either in the lovely large pool or Tikki bar! Having a fridge in there saved us many trips back inside!!
The weather was so hot we all even used the outdoor shower - my 11 year old granddaughter said it was like being in the jungle on ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here’

The Lidl was near enough to walk to - but we needed a taxi into Nerja.

Lovely chilled fortnight at this property.
When we walked through the gate wow we’re going to have a great holiday. The pool was lovely and the Tiki bar was the perfect place to keep the drinks cold. We spent every night outside and having a swim in the pool at 10 o’clock in the evening was great. Lidl is only 5 minutes walk away downhill but the walk back was excellent for stretching your calf muscles. The walk to the beach and restaurants and bars was 20 minutes and a cab back (€7). Well worth it. Picking lemons for your G&T from the garden was a nice touch. All in all a lovely villa to chill or go out sight seeing. Highly recommended.

Wonderful villa in gorgeous Nerja
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this villa. A welcome pack of provisions was waiting on our arrival. We arrived around 2pm so the cleaner let us drop our bags while we did some shopping in the lidl close by.
The villa was great for our family - we made use of the outdoor kitchen area and loved the mature gardens. We made use of the pool in late October - it was cold to get into but you did get used to it. All the villa was really clean and met our expectations. I would recommend the villa and stay again.

Lovely villa - amazing pool
We were a party of 4 adults and 2 children. The villa is just lovely and is set in beautiful gardens.The pool and outside cooking/eating area made the holiday great. We enjoyed Nerja and ate out regularly. However, although the villa is not that far from the town, having 2 small children it was not practical to walk into town each night and as we would have needed 2 taxis home, we decided to hire a car for 5 days (reasonably priced and useful for shopping in the nearby Lidl).

Perfect villa to chill
Enjoyed a week here with friends. As we arrived early and the villa was still being cleaned we were able to leave our bags with the maids while we went shopping, Lidl is only 5minutes away which is handy, but note it is closed on a Sunday. Villa was lovely and clean with a welcome pack left for us, nice touch. Would definitely recommend this villa.

Villa was really clean and tidy, owners left some wine and bread for our arrival. Pool was larger than expected, but the best part was the views of the mountains and sea. The gardens were lovely and the entry was secure but easily accessed.
We took about 20 mins to walk into the centre of Nerja from the Villa.
1st Class villa especially for large families, would definitely book again.
