You won’t be disappointed about this amazing villa, the pictures don’t do it justice. There was plenty of room for four of us, two couples, and you could walk to every site and restaurant.
The only thing is Next Door it appears to be a wedding venue and about three or four nights of the whole week was quite loud.

This was my second stay at Villa Donna Elisa. I hope to return again next year. There are no words to describe how amazing the villa and gardens are on this property. The minute you walk through the gates, you feel all your anxieties disappear. The location is walking distance to everything in the city centre. Bruno and Federica are outstanding at attending to all details from booking through the end of your trip. I cannot say enough about this place and it’s representatives. It has become a VERY SPECIAL place to me over the years——it just takes you back to another time when life was much less complicated. I’m always sad when its time to go. XO

You can not start this review without complimenting the owner and the management team. Absolutely exceptional. Perfect for 2 couples, quiet, clean, secure, excellent views of the water, exceptional landscaping, very close to everything, and the accommodations lacked nothing. The only thing missing was a private chef, chocolates on the pillows, and a turndown service :).

Villa with a view!
We had a wonderful stay at Villa Donna Elisa. There was plenty of room for our group of two couples. Every convenience we needed was provided. We loved wandering through the gardens and sitting out overlooking the bay or gazing off toward Vesuvius.
The location is superb with a market a few blocks away, the main Piazza a stroll away and excellent restaurants around every corner. Our stay at Villa Donna Elisa was a highlight of our 3 week journey to the Amalfi Coast. Bruno and the staff at the villa were wonderful hosts. We highly recommend!

A piece of paradise
We had a wonderful stay in this lovely villa. The town of Sorrento is lively and loud. The property is an isle of tranquility with a beautiful and very well kept garden, with lemon, orange trees and a lot of flowers. From the garden terrace and two of the apartment terraces you have an impressive view of the Vesuv and the sea. The apparent has a lot of flair, is well equipped and with two bedrooms and two bathrooms ideal for four persons. Both Donna Elisa, the owner, and Bruno are lovely and helpful.

Living the Dream
Our 10 day stay at Villa Donna Elisa was like a dream. Once entering the lovely gardens we were overwhelmed by the accommodations and the hospitality. We could not have asked for a finer location in Sorrento and the nearness to the charms of this wonderful little city. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. It is important to add the hospitality continued with the interaction with Madame Donna Elisa who did everything possible to insure our comfort. It was always a joy to have conversations with her. We are extremely grateful for the attention we received when we had a medical concern and a physician came to the villa within an hour and we were very satisfied, actually overjoyed, with the attention and we were able to continue to enjoy our holiday. Finally, there are no words to describe the stunning views of the harbor each day. We are absolutely certain we found the finest place to stay in Sorrento at the Villa Donna Elisa. Fabulous property in the center of Sorrento
We absolutely loved Villa Elisa. Located 3 minutes away from the centre of Sorrento, it is nevertheless a heaven of quiet and privacy. The villa is surrounded by a beautiful garden, and offers a magnificent view onto the bay of Naples and the vesuvio. The apartment is spacious, very comfortable, beautifully appointed and decorated. Fabulous.

THE BEST place in Sorrento!!
This was the second time that we stayed at Villa Donna Elisa and again it was absolutely perfect!! The privacy, beauty, lush gardens and ocean views right next to the city center cannot be duplicated. We honestly feel special and like royalty when we stay there. The communication and service from Bruno and his team were excellent, including the airport transportation he coordinated for us both to and from Naples. For those of you who like “modern” decor and might be shying away from this place because it’s more traditional, don’t pass this up. Trust me. We love and live our daily lives in modern. Villa Donna Elisa is special and a place you will never forget. It’s a place that you will want to come back to. Impeccably clean, private, very large bedrooms and bathrooms, tons of storage, full kitchen and several terraces and a patio right on the ocean. We were sad to leave and can’t wait to go back! A Superb Experience in the Lovely Villa on the Ocean!
Staying in this lovely villa was truly a wonderful experience from beginning to end. We were a group of 4 and had the second floor of this lovely home located high up on a cliff overlooking the ocean. The ocean views from every room, both balcony bedrooms and from a large outdoor patio are spectacular! The property is marvelously landscaped and has a sitting area in the garden area overlooking the ocean. There are lemon trees, many varieties of roses, palm trees and so many other flowers and shrubs that are just beautiful in this professionally cared for property. The location is very close to the Sorrento central city area but very quiet and peaceful once inside the property gates. The experience of our 5 day stay exceeded here our expectations by a lot!

Superb Villa and Location
We were in Italy with our daughter and wanted to find something perfect to see the Amalfi coast. This is a charming villa in the perfect location. It's quiet at nice but close enough to walk to many restaurants and sites. It would be helpful to have a list of recommended restaurants as there are so many to choose from. The beds are superb! This is a great for a family or two couples. Each bedroom has private bathrooms. The layout of the villa is perfect!

The Villa Donna Elisa was a beautiful retreat. Our host was very informative and offered many tip and suggestions to help us enjoy our stay. The home was private and very secure. The view and the gardens were exceptional. The home is on a main street with easy access to restaurants, shopping and the main square. I would definitely recommend a stay at the villa.

A Sorrento Paradise
This apartment is in a magical setting surrounded by a lush tropical garden, on a cliff with a view of the harbor, the Sorrento coast, Naples and Vesuvius. Yet the property is steps from numerous restaurants and the town's main square and other attactions, and also steps from the Circumvesuviana train station that can take you to Pompeii, Herculaneum and Naples. Second time around
We have just returned from the Villa after spending 15 glorious nights here.This is our second time here and feels like our second home in Italy.This is by far our favourite place to stay in Italy.Mdm Elisa is a perfect host.She is very helpful and her knowledge of Sorrento is simply amazing.We had several chats with her regarding the history of this area.She has a very sharp mind and memory of past history.
The view here never gets tiring.The villa is very well laid out,is kept very clean and the grounds are amazing.
We will miss Elisa and the Villa and hope to return someday.

Perfect villa in Sorrento
Our family of four (two teens) loved Villa Donna Elisa! It was very spacious and clean. The kitchen was very well equipped. The views from the garden were amazing. Mrs. Elisa was so helpful and kind. Bruno, the listing agent, was helpful and arranged for rides to the airport and from the train station. The location is the perfect walking distance to everything in Sorrento. One concern was the wifi. The service was not reliable and could use an upgrade. Over-all, this was our best stop in our tour of Italy. Highly recommend!

Absolutely spectacular location. Close to the city, with dramatic views and tranquil gardens. Donna Elissa is a gracious host with a lifetime of knowledge. We stayed for 8 days and when we arrived and the gate opened, it felt like Shangrila or
"the enchanted garden"! The property, the house and the beautiful views to the sea are
most spectacular. The apartment is beautiful and comfortable and Mme. Eliza is a lovely,
sweet and helpful woman (if you need her)...otherwise you don't even know she's there.

Beautiful Sorrento Escape - Elisa is delightful
We had great assistance from Bruno and Angela. The views are spectacular. The property is situated in spectacular gardens with stunning ocean views. Situated next door to Exelsior Vittoria, 5* Leading Hotels of The World. We hired scooters and drove down the coast road all the way to Ravello. Only niggles I would state is we prefer a more powerful shower and it takes about 60 seconds to come to the correct temperature. The mattress on our bed was very springy and needs upgrading. We would come back.

Villa Donna Elisa is in a beautiful position overlooking the port in Sorrento. The gardens are lovely with lots of lemon and orange trees and many other lovely plants. Mme. Elisa was very friendly, spoke good English and made us very welcome. Thank you.

Villa Donna Elisa and our hostess, Elisa are both amazing. We would like to come back every year. We walked to everything, or stayed on the veranda to enjoy the views and gorgeous grounds. The holiday lights on all the streets added to the festive feeling we had all week. The shopkeepers were also friendly and happy. We even hired Francesco to cook us an amazing meal in our villa one evening - he was a delight as a person and a cook. There is really no way it could have been better.

We two couples enjoyed this apartment very much - excellent central location with balcony overlooking the often busy harbour which was hugely entertaining. Swimming/use of pool area available for a fee in the adjacent Excelsior Hotel. Beautiful garden to enjoy but the midges enjoyed feasting on our legs so do take repellent. Sorrento a delight with excellent experiences/trips/food. Very helpful owner who lives on site.

Wonderful villa in a good location near to the station meaning you do not need a car. Luxurious, spacious and Mme Elisa helpful, yet unobtrusive. The villa is very well equipped, has lovely gardens and has fantastic views across the bay which we enjoyed every day. Beware of Mosquitos!
The only fault (and certainly NOT Mme Elisa's) was that the villa was advertised 'with shared pool'. The pool was at a nearby hotel and we were asked to pay E15 per day to use it! This was not properly explained - although I believe the wording in the information has now been changed. Needless to say we did not use the pool (and it had been one of our main reasons for booking this villa) and made our way to the sea instead. This does not alter our very positive view of this lovely rental but the description was disingenuous to say the least.

Our week at Villa Donna Elisa was nothing short of SPECTACULAR! I travel a lot for work and fun and have been to many places around the world. I have very high expectations and am very hard to please. This was by far the BEST vacation ever.
The Villa is breath-taking. Everything was absolutely perfect - the location, the gardens, the VIEWS, and of course, Elisa. Elisa is an elegant, charming, sophisticated, gracious women who we enjoyed talking to every night while enjoying our cocktails on the Terrace overlooking the Marina. She is one of the reasons our trip was so memorable. We will not forget her or the time we spent in her beautiful home.
The Villa is a few steps from the hustle and bustle of Piazza Tasso but the minute you step through the Villa's gate you are in a quiet, serene, garden of perfection. The Villa is spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you need and more. The bedrooms and bathrooms are very large and separate so everyone can have privacy. There is so much storage - you can unpack and be comfortable. I would caution, however, that one of the bedrooms has 2 twin beds (not a double bed as listed on the website). This was not an issue for us as my parents are in their 70's and took the room with the twins.
The communication with Bruno during the rental process and leading up to our arrival was great. He was very responsive and helpful and even arranged the transfers to and from Naples Airport. ($120 each way).
If you are planning to spend a week in Sorrento, look no further than Villa Donna Elisa. There is nothing that will ever compare. I would be happy to provide a reference for anyone looking for more information. You can get my contact information from Bruno.

The gardens are so beautiful and the location is amazing! Just through the garden and a short walk to everything. Our family of 5 loved our stay at Madam Elisa's beautiful home with gorgeous views. The location of course was perfect, close to everything! Its so peaceful once you enter into the grounds into the lovely garden. The house is very clean and we enjoyed having our breakfast in the balcony staring into the ocean. Stunning view of Mt. Vesuvius on a clear day is quite a treat.

The Villa Donna Elisa is a slice of heaven on earth. The beautifully appointed and spacious villa has breathtaking views of Marina Piccola, the Bay of Naples and Mt. Vesuvius from every room and its outdoor balconies and terraces. The Villa Donna Elisa is also superbly located, less than a five minute walk to the train and bus stations and the heart of Piazza Tasso however, when you enter the gate to the Villa you feel transformed into your own private paradise. The villa is surrounded by meticulously tended and beautiful gardens, lemon and orange trees. Madame Elisa, the owner, is a world class, lovely, gracious and charming host. We all so enjoyed talking with her, listening to stories of her world travels and tales of her life in Sorrento. She also was so helpful in efficiently getting us around the Amalfi coast. An added luxury was our private walkway from the Villa to the Grand Excelsoir Vittoria hotel’s elevator that took us down to the Marina Piccola where we boarded the hydrofoil to Naples, Capri and Positano.
The villa is truly a slice of heaven on earth and Madame Donna Elisa is a national treasure! We would highly recommend this villa to anyone visiting Sorrento, Pompeii and the Amalfi coast. We hope to return one day.

Just returned from Sorrento after a splendid week at the Villa Donna Elise in Sorrento. Travelled with my wife and her sister and husband. It was their first stay in Sorrento but our sixth so we knew before we arrived that this villa is in a superb position, overlooking the Bay of Naples, and a stones throw from the town centre.
We arrived about half one in the afternoon and were met by the owner, the charming Madam Elise. As soon as we set foot in the villa, it was obvious that this was a stunning well maintained property. The photos probably don't do the villa sufficient justice, but suffice to say, for two couples, there is plenty of room and the villa is very well equipped.
There are balconies galore from which to sit and have breakfast or lunch and watch the ships in and out of the Marina piccolo below. The gardens of the villa are stunning and needless to say, confirmed by the owner, take a great deal of effort to keep them that way!
The villa has everything you could want for a week or twos stay. If you have visited Sorrento before, you probably know this is in a superb location already. If you haven,t, book without hesitation. You have very easy access to the main town of Sorrento (5 mins tops), close to station for trains to Pompeii and herculaneum (5 mins across road from piazza Lauro) and easy access to ferries at the marina piccolo.
As long as you are reasonably mobile, this villa is perfect. Clean, tidy, spacious and well equipped, and complete with a charming hostess who is there to help if required, but also respects your privacy. Superb location, fantastic villa and a lovely hostess in a superb town. What more could you ask for?

We (2 couples) stayed here for a week. This is a truly wonderful place with everything you need. Surroundings, furnishings, and location could not be better. Elise is the wonderful owner. The gardens and views are amazing. The place is spotless and very large. It's always nice (but rare) when the rental is better than the online pictures.
You have everything you need for a perfect vacation and won't need a car if you stay here. Restaurants, shops, and transportation are all within easy walking distance. Thank you Elise from everyone!
