Sobre O Mar is a spacious luxury villa on the Sao Rafael estate close to Albufeira, in the Algarve. With large manicured gardens and a private pool this Villa is ideal for adults and children alike. The Villa has four bedrooms two of which are en suite, a living room, dining room kitchen and utility room. Upstairs the master double bedroom has an en suite bathroom plus a private sun-terrace with lovely sea views. All bedrooms and lounge area at Sobre O Mar are air conditioned/heated. The outside of this stunning villa offers large lawns with flower beds and palm trees, a private pool and a built-in barbecue. This is topped off by sea views and a secluded sun lounging area and is only a short walk to magnificent beaches. There are many restaurants and shops close by and Albufeira with is lively night life and bustling old town center is less than 10 minute car journey.

This has to be the best villa we have ever booked, amazing sea views, immaculately presented and so well equipped. The grounds are beautiful and so peaceful, huge range of comfy outdoor furniture to suit everyone’s needs. The photos really don’t do the villa justice, the location is great. Several good restaurants in walking distance, Ubers are plentiful and very reasonable if you want another option. Communication with both Tony and Victoria (owners) and Tracey the villa manager was excellent, nothing is to much trouble and Tracey was so knowledgable about the local area. Highly recommend this beautiful villa. Thank you for accommodating us at such short notice!

We had an amazing stay at the villa, we really couldn’t fault it at all and definitely didn't want to leave! The house is in a perfect position just up from the beach, with plenty of restaurants close by (A Sardinha, Luna Diamante and O Marinheiro being some of our favourite local ones). The house has everything you need, plenty of space, perfect pool, and very good air-con. What also made it special were how friendly and helpful both the owner, Victoria, and the property manager, Tracey were. We’ve rented plenty of villas across Europe and this was by far the best managed.

Prior to our arrival the communication we received from the owners gave us all the relevant access details for the villa. The property manager Tracey also text to ask if we needed any shopping due to our late arrival, which was very kindly bought for us for our arrival.
The villa was beautiful and very well equipped, with lovely gardens & sea views. We had a baby with us and a cot & high chair were also supplied. The pool was great for a quick dip to cool down which was very refreshing for us, maybe we should have paid for the pool heating for the baby but we had a little inflatable paddling pool, one that had been left but also we took one which was perfect. The master bedroom upstairs had its own balcony with sea views & a seating area which is great to relax away from the rest of the group or have drinks early evening & watch the sun set.
Although there are restaurants and supermarkets in the near vicinity we had a car, which was easier with the baby to go further afield, especially as it was very hot when we were there and some steep roads. Lidal was a short drive and cheaper than the nearest supermarket.
Just be aware that the driveway is quite steep & we scraped the bottom of the car when driving in a couple of times, so we tended to park on the road afterwards. I think it would probably be fine if you had an SUV.
Tracey was very quick to respond if we had any questions and very helpful.
We would definitely stay again when we next visit Portugal. Thank you ☺️

Check-in & out was very easy, Tracey is great. The villa is located in a quiet location, with beautiful sea views. Most of our time at the villa was spent outside by the pool, Very relaxing. Walking distance to Arrifes beach & a quick drive to Sao Rafael beach. The Marina & old town are also a short drive away. If you don’t want to drive to old town you can hop on the train at the marina and it will take you there. An all day pass for the train is very affordable. We had a wonderful stay, love the location. Would definitely book again!

Lovely property, perfect for families travelling together as there is plenty of room for everyone.
Beautiful property, spacious bedrooms, living area and kitchen. Outdoor area perfect for entertaining. Gorgeous beach and beach bar 5 minute walk and a short taxi ride into the old town. The marina is within walking distance, 20 minute walk so all in all perfect location. Lovely owners and property manager to deal with and any requests we had, were not a problem. Villa and garden cleaned twice while we were there and a change of sheets.
It was a perfect stay and I would definitely return.

A fabulous, impressive villa, in beautiful gardens, stunning sea views, 10 mins walk to spectacular beaches, wonderful restaurants on the beaches. Our group of 8 were comfortable in lovely bedrooms, with lots of space to disappear if you needed to. Perfection, Thankyou Tracey for your very rapid responses to any query’s. We used Ubers to get around so easy and very quick to arrive. A wonderful holiday.

Wir waren 2 Wochen dort und haben es sehr genossen. Das Haus und der Garten sind wunderschön eingerichtet und gepflegt. Es fehlte an nichts - sogar Bücher oder Wasserspielzeuge sind vorhanden. Einzig das W-Lan ist ausbaufähig...nicht jedes Zimmer hat Empfang.
Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin und der Managerin sind herzlich und unkompliziert. So macht Urlaub Spaß! Wir kommen bestimmt noch einmal wieder :).

Christmas in the Algarve
We had a lovely two week stay at Sobre O Mar. Communication with the owners and Tracey, the manager, was outstanding throughout. The house was very comfortable for our family with easy access to the beach/cliffs for walks and short drives to restaurants, groceries, etc. The only small issues we had were with the WIFI as it doesn't reach well upstairs, the oven seemed to only broil (not an issue if you don't cook!) and there is a guesthouse next door that plays music constantly during the day. That said, we would happily stay here again.

Superbe maison et emplacement
La maison est fantastique et très confortable ,tous les équipements séjour, cuisine … sont top les 4 chambres spacieuses dont 2 en suite superbes. Le terrain est spacieux agréable et la maison se trouve à 10 minutes à pied de la plage des arrifes et st Rafael.Tracey qui gère la maison sur place est très agréable ,disponible et très réactive.Seul petit point qui m’a dérangé est que les volets laissent passer trop de lumière mais cette maison est fantastique.

Loved staying at Casa Sobre o Mar!!
The house is in a beautiful quiet location with sea view and easily accessible to supermarkets etc. The house is extremely well equipped with anything you might need and more. The house manager was extremely responsive to any question (like where to find recycling). Absolutely lovely stay at Casa Sobre o Mar! Would stay there again if traveling to Albufeira!

Perfect spot for a week away
Loved it. Totally loved it. Even better in real life than it looks in the photos. Really large place, 4 big bedrooms with 3 bathrooms, amazing master with large balcony, views of the sea, so much space and great location. We couldn’t have asked for more.

Een fantastische villa op een prachtige lokatie.
De lokatie is werkelijk geweldig. Je kan naar het strand lopen, waarbij er 2 keuzes zijn. Een wat kleiner strand en een stukje verder wandelen over de rotsen een groter strand. Beide stranden voorzien van een uitstekend restaurant, zeker als je van verse vis houdt. Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien en is groot genoeg voor een gezelschap van 8 volwassenen. De masterbedroom met terras is werkelijk geweldig. Contact met de beheerder was prima zowel voor ons bezoek als tijdens. Om een klein
punt te noemen is de staat van de buitenstoelen, die zijn aan vervanging toe. Maar heeft geen afbreuk gedaan aan een geweldig verblijf in een supermooie villa.

Great stay
We had a great time at the villa . It is spacious and very well equipped . Loved the pool and garden and enjoyed barbecuing . The upstairs terrace is perfect for an evening drink watching the sun set . The property suited everyone in our mixed age party . Victoria and Tony have been great at communicating with us .

La villa dans Son ensemble est exceptionnelle .. à l intérieur le luxe et le confort se marient à l extérieur qui est d une incroyable beauté
L intérieur ne manque de rien (même les serviettes de plage vous sont fournies ) et le jardin ,avec sa piscine , plein de belles fleurs vous enchantent en ayant la plus belle vue du quartier qui est la vue sur mer ❤️
Les propriétaires très gentils ainsi que la dame qui s occupent sur place des occupants ne font qu ajouter notre enchantement pour cette location .
Nous partons avec des souvenirs merveilleux et des odeurs de ce jardin ... merci pour tout et pour vos attentions avec les bouteilles lors de notre arrivée

We stayed at the villa for the last week of the school holidays. We were a party of 5 and a 10 month old baby. From the outset the owner Victoria was very helpful and replied quickly to all our varied questions. We arranged the taxi via the villa manager Tracy. Nuno was there to pick us up and was really nice and his English was good. We used the company through our stay. Tracy was also really helpful with internet issues which she sorted out and when we locked ourselves out one evening! The villa is very spacious, has great sea views and provides a lovely relaxing holiday. The pool is certainly not small and provided enough 'entertainment' for us all with baby and our 10 year old grand daugther. The small beach is a few minutes walk and has a nice restaurant. For a night out it is a 5 minute taxi ride to Alberfera or an hour stroll ( with no push chair!). A great experience because of the vila's facilities, location and helfulness of all involved. If we return to that part of Porfugal we would certainly stay at the villa again.

Dejligt hus med en skøn beliggenhed og en dejlig have. Absolut en perle.
Huset er ideelt til en familieferie. Det er gode sovepladser og badeværelser. Stort køkken og bryggers. Stor stue. Udearealerne er meget fine og velholdte. Terrassen i stueplan er stor, velmøbleret og overdækket, poolen ligger lige ved terrassen, og der er en god stor have med plads til leg. Kig til havet fra stueplan, men flot udsigt til havet fra den dejlige terrasse på 1. sal.

An extreme!y well maintained & equipped villa.
Over the years we have rented many holiday properties & have had some disappointments but this certainly did not apply to Sobre O Mar. The villa exceeded our expectations in every respect. The garden was lovely & the bougainvillea were in full bloom as per the photo. The house has 4 good bedrooms & the kitchen was very well equipped. We would certainly rent this property again.

Stunning property
We've just had a fantastic week at Sobre o Mar villa. The villa, its colourful gardens and sea views are stunning. The nearby beaches are all excellent (lovely sand and visually spectacular). The nearby Rabbit Beach has an abundance of very large shells in amongst the sand. The villa was definitely a highlight of our holiday and I highly recommend it.

Girls Getaway.
Had a fantastic stay at this Villa. It was clean, spacious and well maintained. It was exactly what we 5 Ladies over 50 were looking for. It was very relaxing around the pool and within walking distance of two beaches with two very nice restaurants. We cooked brunch everyday and cocktails around the pool in the afternoon. It is not necessary to have a car but if you dont mind driving it is a plus. We got around using taxis which cost us about 8 euros to get into albuferia old town where we found some very good restaurants, Os Arcos (very good fish and chocolate cake and very friendly ate here twice) The Bistro excellent and also O Manjar. did not get to go to Dom Carlos this time as had some very fussy eaters with us( coeliac and no butter or cream) but it is still my favourite restaurant. Had a few good sing songs at Sherry's bar. I would highly recommend this villa, as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and intend to come back there with my own family.

Sobre O Mar
We stayed in this villa for 10 days (28th September to 8th October 2014) and had a fabulous holiday! There were 6 of us (3 couples) and the villa was even better than the description! The villa itself is extremely spacious and well equipped. The outside area is superb, we had breakfast outside every day with a wonderful sea view! There are two beautiful beaches within easy walking distance, each with a beach bar serving lovely food. Our personal favourite was Sao Rafael which was just a few minutes further walk than the nearest local beach. We didn't have a car but the local taxi services were very obliging and reasonably priced and took us to Albufeira a few times which is only a short ride away. We would definitely recommend this villa and we all agreed we would certainly like to return in the not too distant future!

Absolutely FABULOUS!
We have just come back from this fantastic villa and it is the finest we have ever stayed in! The best views you could imagine, fabulous area and the villa itself is heavenly... Sun all around the house daily and a lovely covered area for shade when needed. Lovely furniture, pure comfort and lovely owners who cannot offer enough help and advice. It is surrounded by lovely restaurants and beaches when you need to go out, all within walking distance and a very reasonable local shop too but the Old town is only a 6 min drive and Oura a further 5 mins. It has everything for all age groups really and I could not recommend this villa enough! For anyone who wishes to book it in the future all I can say is Happy Holidays!! You will love it!
