Perfect location for walking or cycling to main attractions. Eg Forts, seven churches, stone house, seal colony and Worm Hole. Excellent vfm. Friendliest and most helpful staff you could ever wish for. Nothing is too much trouble. The hostel is tastefully decorated, spacious, spotlessly clean with excellent views from bedrooms.
Our two days was all too short a stay

location - fabulous for hiking
restaurants require a car ride - staff do offer to cook yet found out about this too late

The location was amazing! The views from the lodge were breathtaking, and it was close to main attractions of the island. The best thing about our stay was our host Brenda, she really made us feel welcome and taken care of in the lodge! Such a sweet and kind spirit. The comforts in the lodge were amazing, we had the best sleep in there.

Sophia was lovely and greeted us when we arrived with excellent information and made us feel right at home. The next morning, she cooked us a lovely breakfast which fueled us for our bike ride around the island.
The location is incredible. You look out the front door and the main attractions are within walking/biking distance. It is approximately a 15-20 minute car ride from the ferry.
Sean, the owner, was so kind and took us to our ferry ride early Sunday morning. Very much appreciated!
Very very little. We really enjoyed our stay.
One thing to note is that we arrived in the evening on a Friday and the taxi cab that had been recommended to us was not operating - this is not a problem from the Lodge, just a note. The restaurant/pub we dined at called us a cab. It might be helpful to pre-arrange transportation if you're arriving at night as it was pitch black when we visited in late October.

The proprietor was very friendly, the rooms were clean and spacious. There is a lovely beach nearby.
The property is very close to major sites - Dún Aonghusa and Poll na bPéist but it is far from the Kilronan where all the island’s restaurants and bars are located. Taxis are needed to get there and back.

Aran Walkers Lodge is an ideal spot to explore the island and it's sites. Shaun was a great host and very helpful and kind. When we had a flat tire he instantly brought a new bike.

The room was spotless and the bathroom was clean. The communal room was very bright and spacious. Continental breakfast was very nice and plenty on offer. Bike rental on site was highly appreciated! The owner was also very kind to organise a lift for us on the departure day and he was a very knowledgeable and took his time giving us advice and recommendations on what to do.
Careful on the location as there is 7km between the lodge and any food facilities for dinner. But nothing that a local taxi driver can't help with!

It was central to what we wanted to see and it was quiet and peaceful.

The location was great for exploring the island outside of the town. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful with organising any additional transport that was needed.

Hospitality. Comfortable. Location.
The location was perfect for us. We used bikes to get between the ferry and the lodge (30 min). It's about an hour walk. Very close to work hole and dun aegnus

Spacious and clean. Large, comfortable room and large, comfortable common areas. Views of Dún Aonghasa and Kilmurvey Bay. Close to Kilmurvey Village.
I had a private bathroom right next to my room, but had to exit my room to access the bathroom. Not a big deal, just unexpected.

Host was just wonderful! He recommended places for dinner and a pint, and arranged for a taxi that evening for us. We had to leave early the next morning for the first ferry boat, and he had breakfast ready and waiting. Exceptional hospitality!
The squeaky wooden floors were charming, but we felt like we were disturbing our fellow guests every time we walked across the room.

The bedrooms were very comfy
Some of the staff were not the nicest to deal with and I don't think it specifies correctly how far out of the village the b&b actually is

Everything was perfect but I paid €180 for 2 people to sleep in a deluxe room with private bathroom for one night but got a hostel room that sleeps 5, with separate shared basic bathroom. I was very happy with Seán the owner, with the
food, and the location but the price was extortionate for a hostel.
The price.

Friendly staff, clean, beautiful views, quiet location on far side of island close to key sights. Helpful suggestions provided by staff for optimizing visit.
Would be nice to include options for transport from dock to location when booked.

Continental breakfast was good. Location is somewhat isolated. Was raining the entire time we were there so chose not to rent bikes and utilized a motor hire instead - Joe was great, timely, interesting and easy to 'chat' with.
