Stay here and Fall in love with Balinese family culture

This was our favourite accommodation during our stay. The property is located at the back of a family compound, providing you with an insight into the Balinese culture. The family that own this were so welcoming, fantastic with my children and even baked a birthday cake for my son’s birthday. When you walk in to the compound everyone was smiling and genuinely happy to have guests stay. Property was very clean and the view over the rice fields and trees was fantastic. We hope to stay a week next time. Fruit salad breakfast and pancakes were delicious. Located 10 minutes from Ubud this location is central to driving around Bali, removing 90 minutes or more of driving time if you were to stay in the usual tourist locations. I can’t recommend this property any more. Thank you for having us and being such a beautiful family!

We only booked 2 nights at the end of our trip. Next time I will be sure to book for more nights

The location is a little out of Ubud centre, but is only a short/cheap taxi ride away and we really enjoyed having the option of going into hustle and bustle or not. There are plenty of places to eat and drink nearby, including a small cafe with the most amazing sunset views within 3 or 4 minutes walk and Jungle Fish / Campuhan Ridge restaurants about 15 minutes walk. The location is also great for day trips out towards the north of Bali, like towards Mount Batur. I have to mention Wayan and his family who own and run the villa, and who are one of the most hospitable families we’ve ever met! They were helpful right from the point of making our booking to bringing our breakfast every morning with a smile and helping us to learn some Indonesian language :). Wayan and his family included us in their celebratory meals made as part of the Kuningan festival and made us feel like part of their family - I can’t say enough great things about them in just a trip review. The gardens and landscaping are breathtaking and it really feels like walking into a little bit of paradise.

Hidden gem for a perfect stay

Nestled into a Balinese local community compound this lovely Villa with it’s beautiful garden and pool was the perfect place to wind down and relax. Away from the tourist crowds in Ubud but still close to everything we had a great few relaxing days. Very well maintained and looked after by the friendly Wayan and Kadek we loved every moment of our stay!

Loved the place, very private at the back of a traditional Balinese family compound overlooking rice fields and coconut trees. Owner very welcoming. Villa is clean, smart, very comfortable, private, pool great, breakfast simple but good. Highly recommend was the best of 3 places we stayed in in Ubud

Great villa, highly recommended!

I really enjoyed my 2 night stay in Puri Astina Villa. The owner and his family were very welcoming and kind. They helped us with our luggage and even they helped deliver clothes to the laundry and had them back to the villa within the same day! The pool was great and very clean. The view of the jungle beside the villa was amazing. The garden was very beautiful, you can enjoy having your breakfast or dinner there and feel very relaxed. The rooms were very clean and spacious. It was a great experience staying in this villa and I would recommend it for anyone staying in Ubud and looking for a comfort/relaxation.

A hidden 💎

We loved the silent off beat retreat. It was very silent, the views were amazing, the property was charmingly clean, and Wayan and his sister were extremely caring towards us and the kids

Comfortable stay in a beautiful location.

Very comfortable accommodation in a beautiful setting. Seperate upstairs and downstairs rooms which are ideal for families with older children but external stairs to upstairs mean it is not ideal for younger families.

The surroundings are beautiful but it is a 15 minute drive from Ubud central. Ideal if you want to get away from the busy town centre and hosts offer a taxi service.

Exceptional

The Villa itself is beautiful and very clean with private pool all to ourself. Kadek took care what we need promptly. We send our laundry everyday and got it back sameday cleaned and pressed and its cheap too. Wayan,her brother being a tour guide can also give good advice. We're happy with their friendly and bubbly attitude.

You cannot walk to town. Need transportation. But i'm sure Wayan can help with that.

Beautiful balcony with an amazing view of the lush greenery.

Kitchen needs a really good clean, and update. Found ants in the jar of sugar, salt sachets were all dried up. If it's a villa, kitchen needs to be well equipped which wasn't the case :(

Amazing find, friendly hosts, beautiful place.

Mr. Ayan and his family were amazing hosts. We had a pleasurable stay at this beautiful villa, probably the nicest villa I've ever stayed at in my life. Good breakfast were provided and I love the private pool and views from the villa. Thank you!

It was a bit hard to find this villa (especially at night). You also need to climb some stairs to get to the villa so if there's a way to make it more accessible then it would be great.

Paradise in Ubud

From the moment we walked through the gates of this amazing Villa we were blown away! Never have we stayed somewhere that looked better in real life than the pictures. Our host Wayan & his family went above & beyond for us, taking us to some amazing places that we otherwise wouldn't have known about. We are sad to leave this paradise & Wayan & his family. We promise we will be back soon. If we could give 20 stars we would.

Amazing villa, pool, garden and hosts.

The loveliest property we have stayed in! Immaculate villa, beautiful garden with own pool, lots of attention to detail, relaxing open space. Villa beautifully decorated. Food available to order (satay chicken was amazing!!). Owners smiley and friendly. Wayan was super accommodating and made access to places easy.

Fantastic piece of Bali paradise close to Ubud

Breathtaking location, photo’s do not do justice to this place. As you climb the steps and enter through the gate you first pass the family temple where you are greeted by Wayan and his family. Surrounded by rainforest this a true sanctuary, the view leads from jungle to rice terraces to mountains. I have seldom been in a villa this clean and well layed out, huge bed with mosquito net, good A/C and spacious bathroom. Patio is perfect for when it gets rainy, clean pool and the garden is like a painting. There are some great restaurants nearby but walking is not an option really. Wayan was always ready to drive to wherever we needed to go and the attentiveness of him and his family is definitely the unique selling point of this accommodation.

Not a dealbreaker for us at all but kitchen does not have any supplies to do home cooking ( and why would you…. ). A lounge sofa or similar on the patio would be nice.

Amazing Hosts and great view, could've been little close to the ubud center, not too far away though

They are amazing hosts, and take good care of guests. They served good food, while if you are pure vegeterian make sure you call out no chicken. Or else per Bali culture chicken is considered Vegeterian

The hospitality was so warm and perfect.

Thanks for the amazing stay! Our host, Wayan was very kind and helpful, he helped with absolutely everything. Location and view are great, surrounded by rice fields. The pool was nice and clean. The most helpful people, the best breakfast, juices, dinner, comfortable beds. Was more than we could ever asked for. If I could give this a higher than 10, I would! Just loved everything about over stay.

Perfect family relaxation trip!

It was like staying at home away from home. We spent lots of time in the pool and chilling at the villa. Facilities are near by. Wayan and his whole family were very welcoming. Wayan was there to receive us at 2:00am and offered us ride to and from Ubud centre. We will come back if in Ubud :)
