This is a perfect hotel for hassle free skiing- especially with children, a few steps from the gondala made the mornings a breeze. Food was great, wood fired pizzas were a hit with the kids in the evening, but it gets busy so even if your staying reserve a table! The buffet breakfast was great. All the staff we super helpful and friendly. whilst we were there we were able to watch the torchlight decent straight in-front of the hotel which was great fun.
The only small down side of the great hotel is the bar area. it’s a big enough bar but not much room around the edges of the bar for drinkers once they’ve got their drinks. it’s has a few tables that fill up quickly and small and oddly shaped areas meaning generally not much room.
There is also no lounge area - just the restaurant and the bar and the patio.

Excellent location for skiers

location is perfect with parking at the chalet Royal across the street, 20m walk to the telecabine, and a ski locker. view to the valley was stupendous and the balcony was just big enough to spend a little time out there. room was clean and beds were comfy.
the staff at front desk were always doing something else, but the bar staff were very attentive and filled the gap

very centrally located , good restaurant and friendly staff
dog friendly
no parking at the property and the parking available nearby is very expensive. We had a lady of 86 with us who‘s not so steady on her feet and it was therefore difficult for her whenever we needed the car.
The furnishings are run down and the rooms very cramped. For the price charged renovation would be appropriate.
Breakfast ok but not worth CHF 15 per person (also for children).

The food in the restaurant was very good and the view from the room was spectacular.

Nice and very quiet room with huge balcony. Comfy beds and big TV with netflix.
The common areas did not meet our expectations taking into consideration the photos. However the room was a good surprise.

Great view and nice Restaurant
Uncomfortable pillows

As a summer trip we enjoyed a the (small) outdoor balcony in the sunshine and looking at the view. The rooms have been recently renovated and comfortably appointed. Ok for 1 night but not very spacious if you were planning on staying a week. We ate the restaurant in the vending which did great pizzas. Breakfast was very good, lots of choice and fresh.
Just needs a touch more care and attention in a few places to be excellent. For example there was a fresh flower arrangement on the reception with mostly dead flowers, the mat at our door had lifted and not repaired (could be trip hazard for elderly person), balcony not been swept.

The hotel is just over the cable car station. so you can go skiing literally from your bed :) It’s clean, warm and cosy. The 3-meat dish in the restaurant was great.
The ski boots storage has no heating. Maybe better to take them in your room.

We like the hotel very much! Its the 5th year we are coming, and we were never disappointed. Rooms clean, staff friendly, and the location is unbeatable! Literally at the slope!
The big disappointment this year was the situation regarding car parking. The last years parking was free in the rather huge car park of the sister hotel (Chalet Royal) opposite the Magrappe. This year, the management (or the ownership?) of the car parking has changed, and it is outragous expensive (nearly CHF 40 for 24 hours). Unfortunately the hotel has not managed (or tried??) to negotiate better prices for hotel guests. Actually, they advise to take the car out of the parking after 17:00 and park it somewhere at the public road. So, there is a nearly empty 6 story park house, and cars parked everywhere at the road...

Able to ski back to hotel, ease of ski hire and close access to lifts. Extremely helpful and friendly staff
No car parking at hotel. Hotel looking tired, damaged cupboard front/door in reception area, lots of unwanted items ‘stuffed’ in corners or left lying around

fantastic location next to the lift and ski in. valley views from the balcony are amazing. staff very friendly and helpful.
avoid the ravioli if still on the menu.

Modern apartment with a bit older shower. Value for money.
evening music (even until 23h) whereby the speakers are just below your balcony.

Staff was very polite and welcoming.
The restaurant had a very good quality and we were pleased with the overall package.
Most of the administration has to be done from Chalet Royal across the street.
It would have been nicer to have everything together in the same building.

The personnel was nice
I think the site of the hotel did not reflect the reality, the room was very noise , the the table outside on the balcony was broke the soap dishes in the shower was broke , the soap dispenser was not function.
