The location is great and close to the lagoon. We booked 2 nights and changed our plans so we wanted a refund for the second night and they agreed. The food was nice.
We didn't have hot water, but it seemed to be a single error. No English speaking staff members. No water filling station.
4.1
Great hot water and friendly staff. Also they will put on the wood stove for heat, although our room was warm enough without it and the beds were great.
Dinner and breakfast portions were pretty small, and it was otherwise on par with the places we stayed at prior but was $15 more expensive, which makes sense as Quilotoa is more of a destination.
4.1
Bed are comfortable and there is a wood heating in the room that keep you warm.
Location is good as it is at walking distance from the lagoon
Dinner was included in the price but quite small. Breakfast is served only up to 8 am
Staff is not exactly friendly

Very close to lake Quilotoa. Good parking area. Good value as the price of the room includes dinner and breakfast. Basic rooms but clean and in good shape.
The room was a bit cold. Ask for an electric heather.

Very helpful personel
Not enough food for dinner

It's a great hotel in a very good location. Very close to Quilotoa. I really liked the style and amenities of this hotel. The heating system surprised me a lot (in a good way). Great food, too! I highly recommend this place.
It was a bit cold in the morning and we had to wait for about 15 minutes for a shower to warm up. Besides that, it was great

The food was very good and the staff nice. Also we liked the warm alpaca wool blankets.
Unfortunately we had our room near reception & restaurant so until everybody went to sleep we could hear music and people talking. Also we weren't lucky to have hot water, but we expected this in an accomodation on top of a mountain.

Amazing food, location, big rooms with hot water and wood stove and awesome and helpful staff!

Really nice people, cozy rooms and good food. Overall great value. Stayed warm with the fire on a chilly night.

Daniel was very friendly and helpful when we arrived with a sick child, late at night. He even prepared a meal for us upon our arrival. The room was cozy with the wood stove and there were more than enough blankets for all of us to stay comfortably warm. it was all in all, a great experience.

A strange little hotel better than we expected. We pulled into the large empty car park, was it even open?
Yes, a warm greeting and shown to our room. A small room, the double bed tight against one wall but per-fectly clean. Dinner was included, a surprisingly nice soup starter then chicken fillet, or pork, with rice and salad and a hot very tasty drink.
Early evening more travellers arrived for good conversations, later a large group of walkers, the hotel was actually full. With temperatures outside -1, -2 the wood burning stove in our room had been lit and had real-ly warmed the room. With a few of the lovely Ecuadorian blankets we had a warm night.
Breakfast was at 07.30 for everyone. That’ll be busy we thought, but luckily the large group of walkers had left early Breakfast was fruit plate, breads, eggs cooked to choice, fried plantain with cheese, fruit juice and tea or coffee all well presented.
all ok

We loved the fireplace both in our room and the dining area. The food was great, staff was friendly and the location easy to find after completing the Quilotoa loop!
Lots of warm blankets on the bed, clean and comfortable and great value.
Everything was great

Ample blankets and a furnace in the room kept us warm all night. Staff were nice and accommodating. Breakfast and—to our surprise—dinner were both included in the rate. They had vegetarian meal options available which was great. Location was good, not the closest to the crater but definitely walking distance (the town is small). Wifi worked well.
As other reviewers have noted, shower only had sporadic hot water. Property was great overall. However, we had a difficult time communicating with the owners prior to arrival which led to a misunderstanding about getting picked up by their taxi driver from Latacunga. The owners only speak Spanish and sent messages using slang, so it was hard for us to interpret. Nobody’s fault, just worth noting as a heads-up to other travelers.

Lovely design. Beautiful room with wood burner (very cosy!). Delicious food. Hot shower. Very comfortable bed. Located away from the hustle and bustle of the town but still close to all facilities.
Nowhere to hang clothes. The last few places I stayed had complimentary tea, coffee and drinking water but Runa Wasi didn’t.

The room was very cozy and cute. It was freezing when we arrived but there was a fireplace in the room that we got to use which made the room so nice and warm. The staff were very sweet to us. The dinner and breakfast were very tasty. Thank you!!

The family who runs the place was very friendly and let me check in early. The location is good, just a few mins walk from the lagoon. The room was large and the bed comfortable. The price was good given that both breakfast and dinner were included.
The hot water was only a little bit warm, and it was cold in the room. Due to maybe the weather or the chimney, the wood oven in the room smelled really sooty when a fire was lit, so I preferred to let the fire go out and then aired out the room. The food was just ok, however, I appreciate that something vegetarian was offered.

The room was so warm and cozy. Between the wood burning stove and the many blankets, we stayed warm all night. Breakfast and dinner were good. wifi was strong. The owners were so kind and attentive. We definitely recommend this hostel!
A little further from the crater than the other restaurants and hotels. There isn’t really a comfy social area (which was OK for us)!
4.1
Nice, quiet location away from the “busy” part of the town which was perfect for relaxing after a long day of hiking the Quilotoa loop! The breakfast and dinner were also delicious and the staff were very kind.
We arrived on a very cold night and while we were able to get a fire going, it was impossible to keep it going with the wood provided. Rain water also came in through the closed windows, getting a bunch of our clothes and other items wet.

I was greeted with a smile and quickly checked in.

Clean, friendly staff and the food was delicious. It was a welcomed comfort after a long hike from Chugchillan.

Oven and plenty of firewood (we had a room in the ground floor).
Very basic room. Nothing to store, we had to put everything on the floor.
