The breakfast was very good. A good mix of continental and cooked food. A good selection of hot drinks as well as cereal and fruit juices.
The restaurant had a limited evening menu, that said the portions were generous, well presented and well cooked.
The staff were friendly and courteous, all the areas are clean, and airy.
Our room had the normal things, TV, tea making facilities and a fridge.
The bathroom was good and the shower was fabulous, very powerful.
The lodge is a bit tired, the towels were passed their best, on the thin side.
The lodge is used by young student coach tours. Although they are accommodated in a separate wing noise was an issue on a couple of nights.

Clean and comfortable beds. Good powerful shower. Good choice at breakfast. About a mile from the centre of Ypres where we found lots of free parking and and plenty of restaurants. Ok choice for a stopover before traveling on to UK on the way back from our trip to the Alps.
Rooms a little on the dark side due to dark wood effect paneling on the walls.

The property is in walking distance to Ypres town, the parking is good with plenty of spaces. The breakfast is good
The check in at 15.00 is not convenient and looking at the other guests waiting to book in i suspect they feel the same.

Both good

The breakfast, room and location were fine.
The noise of other guests talking outside, in the room next door, and along the corridor. People slamming doors throughout the night and into the early hours.

can accommodate groups
bit too far from town to walk in.

Hotel location proximity to main roads and town very good, the room was very restful, also the hotel served very good breakfast, excellent location for either passing through or taking in the vast history of the areas
Nothing to dislike

5 mins drive to the center of town, comfortable beds, good breakfast.
Run down rooms, lot of wear and tear on the furniture in the room, needs renovation.

We were arriving a bit late to eat but we spoke to Cindy, a relatively new recruit and she was brilliant. Organised a lovely dinner for us after hours..just so happy! Then we had great service in the bar by the stalwart, Mark
Always great!
The sausages for breakfast could be better.

the hotel was clean, good size rooms with nice showers. excellent breakfast.
the only small criticism is that the bath towels are too small and old

Not my 1st time here. Nice and clean with friendly staff. Breakfast was good.
The hotel is starting to show its age. The car park is desperate for an overhaul as it’s muddy in places with no lighting.
The lights in the room are extremely dull.
an addition of a safe in the room would be an asset

quiet location at night. 20-25 minute walk into town or catch #95 bus which runs every 30 minutes. last bus back is just after 8pm. Whole hotel as an “alpine” feel with wood cladding in bedrooms and some public areas. All spotlessly clean. Very good restaurant/bar which is useful as nothing else around. Staff all excellent. Ample car parking. good breakfast.
nothing. 😀

The breakfast was great as was the restaurant for an evening meal. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and the whole place exceeded expectations. Only 5 or 6 minutes cycle ride from the centre of Ypres.
