Stay as long as you can…

Everthing was p*e*r*f*e*c*t <3. If we could give a 12, we would give. Margaret & Jimmy brightened us our day up. The room was clean, the view where great, breakfast was good and always filled with fun.

Favourite place to stay

Beautiful location, hosts made you feel like a part of the family from the moment of arrival to leaving and were extremely helpful with providing recommendations of where to go as it was our first time in west cork. Would definitely stay again

Herzliche Bewirtung wird hier ganz groß geschrieben

Wir wurden sehr herzlich und zuvorkommen aufgenommen und bewirtet! Wir haben uns super wohl gefühlt. Margaret und Jim sind Gastgeber mit Leidenschaft und man merkt ihnen an, wie gerne sie ihre Gäste bewirten! Herzlichen Dank nochmal!!!! Das Haus ist super gepflegt und sauber und man fühlt sich etwas wie in einem kleinen Herrenhaus. Die Lage mit Blick auf die Bucht ist wunderbar und es ist abseits von der Strasse sehr ruhig. Fussläufig sind ein kleiner Strand und ein leckerer Imbiss zu erreichen. Für weitere Gaststätten müsste man mit dem Auto ein Stückchen in den Ort fahren.

In unserem Zimmer haben wir nur in einer Ecke eine zugängliche Steckdose gefunden. Das war zum Laden der Handys und zum Fönen etwas umständlich.... Im Vergleich zu unseren späteten anderen Unterkünften gab es ein eher kleines Frühstück. Das war aber in Bezug auf den Preis total angemessen und lecker. Vllt. hätten wir ja auch noch ein Ei o.ä. bekommen können, wenn wir gefragt hätten ;-)...

The breakfast was simple but with enough options to satisfy the morning hunger. The view is what sold us for the experience. The view was of the ocean and close enough to enjoy the morning breeze and hear the crashing waves, which for this former sailor, was the best part. Finally the room itself (and the overall experience) felt very much like staying with family and the owners themselves treated us like long awaited friends.

My apologies for this as I could not find anything negative to say or even to suggest an improvement on. The two nights we spent here felt like coming home and one doesn’t speak negatively of their home. With this type atmosphere it is hard to find anything negative to say.

Warm and welcoming hosts in a beautiful seaside location.

Most attentive hosts, very clean and lovely coastal location. Breakfast was delicious.

A sitting/lounge area and tea/coffee making facilities would have been a nice addition.

Margaret and Jim 😍. So lovely hosts, they did literally everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The rooms were very cozy and clean. The breakfast freshly made :-)

Couple très accueillant, chaleureux et dynamique. Toujours près à nous informer et donner des idées. Lors de la réservation, nous n avions pas vu que notre chambre n avait pas de salle de bain privative, et habituellement nous préférons éviter, mais tout compte fait cela n était pas dérangeant. Établissement très propre et décoré avec goût,lits confortables quant à la vue..nous y serions bien restés une journée de plus pour en profiter. Nous recommandons.

wir haben 4 Nächte im Bethel Guesthouse verbracht und würden uns jederzeit wieder dort einbuchen.

Die Lage und die Aussicht sind hervorragend. Aber noch bemerkenswerter sind die Inhaber Margaret und Jim. Ich habe noch nie erlebt, dass sich ein Gastgeber die Namen _aller_ Gäste merken kann. Das zeigt die Einstellung der beiden zu Ihren Gästen und entsprechend herzlich war auch der Umgang. Das Frühstück ist ebenfalls außergewöhnlich und wird von den beiden täglich serviert.

wir haben ein Zimmer mit "shared bathroom" gebucht und waren gespannt, was uns erwartet. Unsere Erwartungen wurden allerdings positiv enttäuscht ;-) Im EG gibt es zwei Badezimmer, die beide aussergewöhlich groß sind (Familien-tauglich), jederzeit sauber und angenehm warm (im Mai noch geheizt). "Shared bathroom" ist also nur auf den ersten Blick ein Nachteil - im echten Leben war das kein Problem.

C'était un séjour trop court, avec un accueil tellement attentionné.

Un accueil des plus sympathique, tolérant vis à vis des horaires (nous sommes arrivés à 22 heures le premier jour); Le déjeuner continental est généreux et très bon. fruits frais, excellente prestation dans un endroit avec vue sur mer, commun à plusieurs convives mais intimité garantie. Nos deux hôtes étaient aux petits soins, soucieux du bien-être des touristes que nous étions. Literie impeccable et chambre avec vue sur mer !

Feels like Home

Man wurde total herzlich empfangen. Wir haben uns den zwei Tagen wie Zuhause gefühlt. Magret und Jimmy waren sehr freundlich und sind wirklich herzensgute Menschen. Sie haben uns tolle Ausflugstips gegeben!! Man hat von der Unterkunft aus eine total schöne Aussicht und ist in ca. 5 m Min. zu Fuß direkt am Strand. Dort gibt es auch einen super Imbissstand. Alles in allem ist die Unterkunft wirklich nur zu empfehlen!! Wir würden sie jederzeit wieder buchen. Danke für eure Gastfreundlichkeit, Magret und Jimmy, bleibt so wie ihr seid! Nodda! We definitely recommend this accommodation, a perfect match for tour stay !

Being in Bethel Guest House was a real pleasure, Margaret and Jim are adorable, so kind and warm ! They care too welcome their guest perfectly ! Bedroom and bathroom are very clean and shine. The place is charming and lovely with a very beautiful sea view, we had a great time with our little kid !

Picture book stay in West Cork

We loved everything about this place. The host is absolutely fantastic. She’s very accommodating and caring. It was perfectly clean. Beautiful bedrooms with a gorgeous sea view. Comfortable beds. Great wifi. Fantastic breakfast. Honestly the most perfect bed and breakfast we have ever gone to. I would recommend for anyone traveling in this area.

I couldn’t fault this place if I tried. It was perfect. No negatives.

Very enjoyable

Our stay at Bethel was exceptional. Our twin room with shared bathroom was very luxurious as was the whole house. Beds very very comfortable & the views amazing. Margaret & Jim were so kind & helpful. I really enjoyed their company when we chatted. I would definitely stay again & would highly recommend the B&B. The continental breakfast was fresh tasty & very plentiful.

The owners were very hospitable. We were warmly welcomed and well taken care of during our stay. The room had a beautiful lake view, and we could enjoy this also at breakfast and on the terrace. We also received super tips for activities and restaurants. We would come back anytime!

The comfort and setting of this b & b makes it the most enjoyable stay .Jim & Margaret are the most hardworking and welcoming hosts .Their Irish welcome sets up your relaxing stay in this beautiful part of the world .Breakfast was very enjoyable in a beautiful room with stunning views and the house & rooms are kept to perfection.Would highly recommend you stay at this place if you are looking for a b & b in this location .

Thank you Jim and Margaret for a delightful and welcoming stay. Our room (#4) was delightful, with a beautiful view of the sea and a lovely patio area, complete with a table and chairs. The guesthouse is well located for a short walk to the beach/sea or a for a trip into Rosscarbery proper. The room was beautiful and furnished to a high standard. The real joy however is the clear love and care that you have for your guests and the extra effort that you go to make us feel welcome, appreciated and cared for. The extra touches, like offering coffee whilst sitting in the patio, or advice on local places to see and visit. This is one of most welcoming and joyous places that I have ever stayed.

Lovely stay with incredible view

Wonderful stay in very elegant place with incredible views! The hosts were absolutely lovely, very polite and helpful. The room was clean, big and very stylish. WI-FI worked very well. In the morning there was a good breakfast to start the day. Location is really great, close to main road and wonderful small city at the south coast of Ireland.

The only minus I could find is no card payment possibiliy at the property and maybe if someone hopes for cooked breakfast with warm food, this one was not available.
