The cottage is full of character which includes Cotswold stone interior walls, wooden floors, beams, window seats, inglenook fireplace with log burner and antique furniture. The cottage affords great views from the outside private lawned garden, kitchen, lounge and both bedrooms over fields, wooded valleys and pretty cottages both bedrooms have amazing high A framed beamed ceilings. There is one bathroom on the first floor which is close to both bedrooms, the bathroom has a walk in shower and a bath with overhead shower.
The lounge area is bright and includes flat screen TV and DVD player (there is a large variety of DVDs and books in the cottage), the lounge area leads through to a separate ambient snug/dining room with dining table for four.
The kitchen has a large range cooker, Belfast sink, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge and small separate freezer.
Both bedrooms have fireplaces, great views and are of a good size, one has a double bed and the other has a king size bed both have ample storage space.
Care has been taken with soft furnishings and decor to ensure you have a relaxing comfortable holiday.

Chalford ( just next door to France Lynch ) is now becoming famous for its annual Party on the Hill ‘ CHALFEST ‘ which is attracting international stars such as Sophie Ellis Bextor, SisterBliss ( Faithless), Alexandra Burke and The Blockheads. The concert runs for two nights every July ( Friday for locals and Saturday open for public) . It is a ticket only event which much be purchased on the on line site. For those who don’t enjoy music don’t worry as the festival is in a central village park it closes promptly at 10.00pm both nights. The event is a five minute walk from the cottage but the cottage is tucked away so not effected by any traffic disturbance.

Ann and Peter are incredible hosts. Oxford Cottage House was the highlight of our stay in England and our home base for our day trips to Bath, Gloucester, Oxford, and Bourton-On-The-Water. The cottage is cozy, immaculate, and the view of the valley is beautiful. This is a warning. You might be tempted to stay forever.
Our trips to the village pub, Kings Head, only a few minutes walk up the road, were a ton of fun as Joe, the owner, his family, and other villagers, helped us feel at home. Ask about Singo-Bingo if you do visit the Kings Head.

We were so impressed with all the details and beauty of this wonderful cottage. It’s a gorgeous little town on the hill with ample walks and a FANTASTIC local pub - the Kings Head. We were so cozy here and it was the perfect base to explore all the nearby cute old towns, pretty roads, Stonehenge and Bath. Visit the Jolly Good Farm Shop for amazing sundries and the Lavender Cafe for a brunch that is impossible to beat. Bravo!

The town is pretty with great views. The property is difficult to access with narrow roads and challenging parking. Our biggest concern was that we felt we had to do excessive tasks to leave, such as take out the trash, unload the dishwasher and put away everything we used. I felt like we paid for cleaning and still had to clean. Lots of steps and small gradations, so take care.

We have stayed in a lot of VRBOs and this one was the most well-appointed, historic, and maintained cottage we've had the honor of staying in. The owner is quite responsive (even though she was in Greece at the time). She's obviously put a ton of thought into how she set this up. Beautiful. The location is great for the Cotswolds. It is on a one-lane, two-way road, so one must be comfortable with that kind of English countryside driving. The local pub, steps from the front door, is friendly and quite good. A great base for taking all those country walks, visiting other historic villages, and just taking in the Cotswolds. A memorable experience.

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful cottage. Perfect location from which to explore the local area as well as having great local walks if you don’t want to venture far. Would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful holiday at Oxford Cottage. The house was very neat and clean, very nicely decorated and fully equipped. There were so many beautiful things to see in every room. From the house and on the terrace you have a very beautiful view. The hostess and host were very nice and helpful. De omgeving is ook prachtig, zowel dichtbij (bijvoorbeeld Tetbury, Bisley, Miserden, Minchinhampton) als iets verder weg (bijvoorbeeld Broadway(tower), Oxford, Bourton on the water). Highly recommended!

Beautiful cottage in a very quiet village. The property is beautifully appointed and the only real noise was the dawn chorus.
Recommend Oxford Cottage if you are looking to book a quality property in this part of the Cotswolds.

An idealistic place to stay either to chill out or explore the Cotswolds. Our hosts, Ann & Peter ipitomsed their Cottage in every way and made us feel totally at home from the minute we arrived. Everything about the place was top grade and we would highly recommend it 100%.

Perfectly decorated, comfortable and homey, in a quiet area. We come from hot dry desert country, so all this beautiful green, huge trees, myriad flowers, hundreds of birds chirping, is like being in heaven! Equipped with everything you need. Lovely kitchen. Lots of walking trails nearby. Close (average 1 - 1 1/2hour drive) to Cotswolds, Oxford, Blenheim Palace, Bath, etc.

We really enjoyed our stay in the lovely cottage. We’ve been hiking various pieces of the Cotswold Way, enjoying the bluebells, and coming back to the cottage at the end of the day. We’d definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at Ann's rental for 7 nights as part of a two week vacation in England and enjoyed every minute of it. The location was as advertised: a quiet Costwold community away from high tourist areas but still central enough to travel to main attractions such as Bath and Oxford as well as Cotswold towns such as Broadway, Bibury, and Stow-on-the-Wold. The rental was clean and cozy, and Ann and her husband were welcoming and available but not intrusive in any way. (In fact, we were thrilled to bump into Ann the first night at the pub down the street!) We can't say enough good things about our visit and hope to go back!

Charming, cozy, comfortable, and in a great location for visiting the Cotswolds. First rate accommodation, highly recommended. Wonderful host, amazing views. All the MOD cons with attention to detail and every aspect. Warm and cozy, comfortable beds, awesome shower. We did not want to leave. Thank you Ann and Pete.

This is probably almost everyone’s idea of a perfect English country cottage. Pretty stone walls, fireplace, cozy rooms, a good kitchen, and lovely touches - paintings etc. Ann is a wonderful, responsive host who lives next door, but who leaves her guests alone - unless they need something. There are beautiful walks from the cottage in the hilly, but gorgeous south Cotswold countryside and many other walks further afield. There is a supermarket and Saturday farmer’s market in Stroud, about 20 minutes away. It is the perfect size for two people, but would also work for 4. Highly recommended.

We are 4 active seniors ladies travelling from Canada. We were so delighted at what we found when we arrived. This Cotswolds cottage is stunning! The decor is beautiful, the amenities are wonderful and the layout is perfect. From the very efficient kitchen, the comfortable lounge area, the intimate dining room, the very large and delightful bathroom to the roomy and well designed bedrooms, it was all amazing. Close to everything including the very friendly pub just a short stroll down the road. The views were stunning!
The host Peter was very friendly and knowledgable ( Ann was away). He answered all our questions.
We would stay here again in a heartbeat!!
Thank you Ann and Peter!!!

Everything about this property is outstanding! Communication was fantastic and the space is exactly as pictured and described. Location was a great jumping off point for exploring the Cotswolds and also provided a local experience that made us fall in love. From the pub down the road to the walking paths - we enjoyed it all. We have stayed at many homes for hire in the US and abroad and this was one of the best we’ve experienced.

amazing stay in gorgeous Cotswolds
this is probably the most beautiful property in which we have ever stayed in our travels. highly recommend! the roads are extremely narrow for American drivers to get used to, so pay the extra money for an automatic transmission on your rental car. we didn't, and that is our only regret. otherwise, well worth the travel time to see this beautiful place and cottage. also, visit the local pub, just a few hundred yards down the road, The King's Head. a great local family runs it, perfect British pub atmosphere.

Lovely stay in the country
We absolutley fell in love with the English countryside and the English people. The views were stunning from everywhere and people were so friendly and always looking to help. We felt very welcome in a place we have never been before. Our cottage was also very inviting and cozy. Our experience with vrbo and Ann the cottage owner was seamless beginning to end. Our cottage Oxford house in stroud was an excellent choice of a home base for touring the countryside. The cottage was very well maintained and comfortable I would definitely stay there again. Our only stress would have to be driving, the country roads are so narrow it was white knuckle all the way! We had a midsize car which we needed to fit our luggage but if you can a small car I think would be slightly less stressfull to drive there. The roads literally aren't big enough for 2 cars in many places.

Such a beautiful cottage in a great location. Cottage was well equipped, from the goody hamper, kitchen basics and equipment to the local information, books and dvds.
