Lovely location. Everything met my expectations except that due to load shedding I was not able to make myself a cup of coffee on rising. Perhaps you should warn your guests to bring along a hot water thermos flask to put boiling water into the night before so as to ensure they have hot water the next morning for coffee. Why not even supply your guests with one? Shows them you care.
Also I suggest you replace the old and blocked shower head that lets out three squirts of needle like jets of water because the rest of the holes are caulked closed. Just brush the inside of the holes plate off with a steel brush. I had to dance around in the shower to get wet, so showering was a miserable experience simply due to your lack of maintenance. I didn't even bother having my usual morning shower which set my mood flor the rest of the day on DOWN. ;-(

Pros

Was a stop on Route 62 to shorten the drive all the way to Capetown.
It wasn't a Backpackers at all! A bikers/ village pub with some rooms above. It was very noisy until at least 1am. There was no nice or private outside area to chill, you either have to go to the bar or stay in your room if you don't wanna go there. I did not enjoy my stay there and would recommend to drive directly back to Capetown if you're not too late in the day!
No kitchen facilities available either.

The staff was really helpful and pleasant. The double room I booked was good.

The location was good!
The place needs some tlc, Lots of cockroaches in bathroom.
Friends of mind stayed in Karoo Moon Hotel 100m from here and they payed R500p.p. compared to our R350p.p.
Absolutely no comparison!

the shower was not the cleanest but was warm and strong
the bar was load , crude until early hous of the morning, even the staff was drunk. the traffic on route 62 was loud right through the night. the room wad on the ground floor right near the pup. we didn't sleep a wink, the staff asked ud to pay at night when we got back from dinner which was probably clever because we would not have paid had we known what we were in for. Shouting, swearing, pub fight and then discussion of events until 3 AM

The accommodation is what was expected for the price, and being a back-packers room. Unfortunately the back-packers is located on the main road, with road noise quite close to you.
Very nice restaurant and bar facilities with extremely friendly staff.
The accommodation is pet friendly but definitely not pet-safe, as there's no fencing, preventing your fur kiddies to run into the mainroad.

We stayed for one night on our way back to Capetown from our Garden Route trip. It is a nice place to stay. Staff was very nice. The pub is a nice typically small village pub. It was a little bit noisy with loud music, but for a Saturday evening okay :) People definitely enjoyed their time! We had the option to be part of a braai in the evening. You can get easily in touch with the locals. Good place! Thank you!

Mattress and Duvet could do with an upgrade

Great location on the main strip... Staff were friendly, and we joined the braai night where salad and bread was supplied. Staff braai'd our meat for us. It was great.
Beds in family room were uncomfortable and worn out. I could feel the slats of the bed through the verlepte mattress.

You get what you paid for and more.
Pub meal was good but although their chips were good I personally would have preferred a choice of chips or salad. Boeries were great

Good area, easy check in, friendly staff, Bar-vibes for the evening if that is what you are into. Room was clean and bed was comfortable

The location was wonderful and we enjoyed the friendliness of the staff and the food was good.
The braai was exceptional and not asked for. The owner made a good impression with accommodating us with a fridge and fan. Swimming pool is available.
Not unhappy with anything but maybe an aircon would be nice.
