Villa with a beautiful garden

I especially liked the friendliness of the hosts, spaciousness of the rooms and the garden outside. We expected 3 bedrooms, and we got 4. For the breakfast they give you the menu and you chose what you want to eat and at what time.

Some might like it, but not for us

The family that hosted us were lovely. Warm, authentic people who did their best to provide the items we needed. The outdoor area of the villa is also gorgeous and well maintained. Lots of hanging plants and greenery makes for a very relaxing vista. The added bonus of the free shuttle to Ubud central was well appreciated. Bed was comfy, linen was clean and the aircon worked.

We thought we had booked a 4 bedroomed villa but what we got was 4 individual 1 bedroomed units. This meant that our large family were all split up in seperate units - some upstairs, some down and it was not the stay that we wanted. There was another couple also staying there which made it very uncomfortable when we wanted to use communal areas....more like a homestay rather than luxury villa. In addition, the units are not well maintained...we noticed rat poo in the bathrrom and kitchen, black mould and we had to call in for simple things like cups and plates to use the kitchen. The pool is quite deep (and slippery as the bottom is tiled). It would not be recommended if you have small kids.

i would highly recommend staying there even it is a bit outside the city centre. We enjoyed every minute of this stay.

Delight in Ubud, without being stuck in the hustle & bustle of Ubud!

The property is gorgeous with outdoor sitting areas, a warm beautiful pool, and lush gardens. The villas are very well equipped, spacious, clean, with good AC and with comfortable beds. They supply drinking water and a delicious, made to order breakfast! The staff are wonderful; you are always greeted with a smile!

Big size rooms, comfortable bed, good aircon, good breakfast, very friendly staff. Very clean (apart from bathroom, which was okay, but smelled a bit)

Shower (no much water coming out), bathroom in general not great, did not smell the best.

The villa was the perfect size to fit our large group of 9 8 with their own bed + one couple. Breakfast was delicious each day (get the fried rice!) and Guru’s family was extremely kind and helpful!

I wouldn’t recommend trying to walk out in town from this villa, which isn’t a problem because Guru offers a free ride into downtown Ubud each day

Love how comfortable are the beds and everything is clean and tidy. Staff are amazing, always looking after us.

The house had a smell like when is not occupied for long time. Maybe they should open some windows in low season to keep the air circulating. Smell like mouldy

It was amazing! The room looked exactly like the pictures and had a nice hang out area. The pool was well cleaned and fresh. We got great breakfast each morning and the beat part was how friendly the staff was. They even drove us around if we were in need of a short trip or a ride into the city. A fantastic villa for a fantastic price!

Have to mention, not just the stay but I opted to take Guru’s Shuttle services to airport and trips around bali with him

The resort is located very close to the ubud centre and the host guru is everyone’s dream host. He went above and beyond to help us around. He and his family are hosting the villa which was clean, great facilities and they are always available to help or reach out as they stay within the same compound.

Family owned villa!

Guru, Odo and the whole family were really nice people. They took great care of us, offering good breakfast in the morning, free shuttle to the center, cleaning the villa everyday. The pool was great, rooms are spacious. They also have cheap scooters to rent. Don’t miss the Warung just in front of the villa, they deserve it!

Fantastic lovely great hosts in a quiet location away from central Ubud. Beautiful pool and yummy breakfasts!

The staff were super friendly and welcoming. They offered refreshments while we were by the pool, and were willing to drop us off and pick us up at any time we needed. Fantastic and lovely service. Lovely quiet and peaceful location too, out of the way of the hustle and bustle of Ubud centre.

The Villa is a little out of the way with not many restaurants nearby. This was our fault for not looking into it that much, but the staff more than made up for it with the free shuttle service.

Welcoming family-driven place for any family or couple - easy to get to Ubud, monkey forest, etc.

The family of Vila Dira will welcome you as part of the family. We were there me, my girlfriend and our 4yo. We had a double room with a fantastic balcony for breakfast (brought to your room based on orders) and the free shuttle to anywhere in Ubud absolutely made up for the distance from the centre. The pool was nice and the family fantastic (reven got some family cooking classes when I asked how they made dishes ). There's a water cooler for both hot and cold water and a kitchen. They'll also help you get anywhere to see things much below regular turist prices and are flexible to anything you'd want to plan and see as a family or couple.

The hosts were very friendly and accomodating! They are a sweet family who run this villa. The villa was very comfortable with clean big rooms and extra space in kitchen area. The location is close to ubud centre and one of the family members would drive us to ubud centre regularly and pick us up for free. There was lots of clean drinking water supplied in the kitchen. The breakfast was good and is indonesian style. They offer tours around ubud or bali. I recommend to visit places with them. Overall me and my family had a fantastic experience in this villa, mainly due to the friendly hospitality the family provided. I would highly recommend the villa and is good value for money.

The bathroom was a little basic but it has hot water, clean toilet and facilities which is the main thing we needed.

Amazing Villa!

We loved our stay at Villa Dira. The villa was beautiful and very modern. The rooms were spacious and clean and the beds were comfortable. The free breakfast had a variety of options and was delivered to our kitchen every morning for whatever time we chose. Having the shuttle was a lifesaver, we were exhausted from hiking in Java so being able to text Guru to drop us into town and pick us up whenever we wanted was greatly appreciated. The family was friendly and helpful and we will definitely return when we are next in Ubud.

We cooked our own meals in the kitchen a few times and there wasn’t a saucepan or many utensils. Making sure toilet paper and clean towels were refreshed every morning as we ran out a few times.
