The Columbia River Gorge, with its mountains and rivers, offers the vacationer and recreation enthusiast the opportunity to windsurf, mountain bike, kayak, golf, ski, hike, fish, or just relax in the unhurried pace of a natural paradise. Historic buildings line the beautifully scenic streets of downtown Hood River, with a bustling shopping district featuring boutiques, designer shops, outdoor adventure gear outfitters, antique shops, art galleries and no less than 30 restaurants.
There are many orchards and vineyards in Hood River. The Hood River Valley is known for its luscious apples, pears, cherries, peaches and other fruits, and for the view of the majestic snowcapped peak of Mt. Hood. People from all over Oregon make an annual trek in the fall to the many farm stands to stock up on fresh apples and pears. Other produce is available, and varies by season. The award-winning Hood River Vineyards is located on a hillside overlooking the Hood River Valley. Their tasting room features traditional wines, and fruit liqueurs.
The Columbia River Gorge, with its magnificent views make this a dream spot for a destination wedding.
Wind surfing capital of the world is Hood River's latest distinction. The winds from the Columbia River Gorge, best during the middle of the day, create ideal conditions for riding the waves. To enjoy the view of "boardheads" at play, drive to the Columbia Gorge Sailpark or follow Second Street to the waterfront.
The Mt. Hood region and its more than sixty miles of forested mountains, 77 waterfalls and myriad lakes and streams are a rip-roaring mecca for outdoor adventure. The mountain is home to four ski areas and offers the country's only year-round skiing and snowboarding.

I want quiet, clean, convenient, and comfortable. It was all of the above. And White Salmon was a great place to eat.

The bridge was out and was told only days before arriving. Found out, all were told a month before for scheduled maintenance. They knew when I reserved the unit on the 23rd that the bridge would be out. The title of the email I received about the bridge closure was titled 'info about bridge'. It came the same day as the checkin email. I read the checkin email. I did not read the email titled bridge info. very deceptive and the commute was an HOUR to the next bridge. VERY POOR EXPERIENCE.

Needed a base camp for Everyday Brewing block party. 5 min walk to downtown White Salmon. Small but great for 2. Lives bigger than it’s size with high vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and lots of character. Good sized yard but grass in bad shape. Good value for the money.

A cute place that had a well stocked kitchen, comfortable bed and easy access. The team at Arrived was very prompt in getting back to me when we were unable to get the lock box cover back on. This is a well located place for 2 in White Salmon close to Grocery and amenities. White Salmon Bakery is just off Jewett - Very close . The TV was a little challenging to get all the remotes activated, but we finally managed. Cute place.

Cute, clean, small,
but for 2 people it's perfect. Great location to white salmon and to hood river.

A quirky home. We enjoyed it but never really felt comfortable. Giving 4 stars because it really needs a house manual to explain certain things - such as the heating, entertainment system, and access to loft (which should be avoided). That being said, Arrived's Support Team continues to be top notch and rapidly provided us with a space heater when the wall heater in the bedroom broke. Note that the TV does not have smart capabilities and the wifi speed may not be suitable for those needing remote work capabilities.

We enjoyed our stay but would offer some suggestions to make it even better: have lawn mown prior to guests - grass was too high 10" to enjoy sitting out --men who mowed the day before we left did a wonderful job; repair or remove rickety wooden lawn/porch chairs; offer coordinated towel sets, include more hand towels & face cloths; provide extra box/es of Kleenex; add some bowls & small plates to dinnerware, also wine glasses; include more helps on remotes - ie. must point them at the receiver to work; replace light bulb above oven/under MW; include recycle bags; repair screen fittings so as not to have gaps - great to open windows in nice weather; remove old door mat on top of outside grill and replace with a nice welcoming door mat.:)

Positives: Has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Nice design job in the bedroom, we liked the skylight. The vaulted ceilings are nicely done, makes the place feel bigger than it is. If you bring a dog, the yard is large enough and fully fenced.
Not so great: Windows needed cleaning and the yard needed some TLC - weeds were tall and the plastic Adirondack chairs were kinda grimy and brittle/cracking. There are no mountain views due to surrounding shrubs and houses.
Bottom line, it's fine for what you need, a good practical option if you're traveling with a dog. Could be better if they put more effort into maintaining the yard/exterior.

Great location for hood river and Washington wineries- fenced yard for the fur babies although my 5 lb yorkie found a way out. Lots of space and a very comfortable bed!

The property was accurately represented. It was clean, easy to access and had a great location.

This cozy home was the perfect size for our weekend getaway. The location was fantastic, a very short walk to everything! The fenced-in yard was perfect for playing with our dog.

We spent a long weekend here and definitely enjoyed it. The space is cozy and comfortable for 2 people (+ our dog). Everything was clean and easy to find in the kitchen. The fenced in yard was great for letting the dog run around. It is also in a great location within walking distance to a lot of the restaurants in White Salmon. We enjoyed dinner at Henni's and Pizza Leona and breakfast at White Salmon Baking Co! All were within walking distance (if the weather had been warm enough for it). The only small issue was slow wifi (not good for streaming shows/movies or working if that's in your plans). But that was our only minor "complaint". Would recommend!

Nice location. Walking distance to Everybody's Brewing. Fenced yard for dogs.
Clean house. Small but charming. Would stay again.

We were able to hike by day and walk to restaurants in the evening. The house has a southern exposure, so the afternoon light in autumn was welcoming. The property managers communicated promptly by text. A little updating would be welcome

White Salmon is a cute little town with some great places to eat, the bakery is outstanding and Feast is excellent too. This place is about 1/4 mile from downtown.

Nice stay
Convenient walk to the restaurants in White Salmon and close to Hood River. The place was nice and comfortable. Just could have been a bit cleaner and a few minor repairs were needed. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Very disappointed
Three day rental… had to check out the next morning, and get a hotel. My husband is a disabled veteran with mobility issues. The couch was so low he couldn’t use. Only other options were two wood bar stools & two uncomfortable dining chairs, one with a wobbly leg… unusable. Could not find any channels on TV which were free. The wood pellet stove was not working ( as posted above it.) Some of dishes in cupboard were dirty. And although written instructions in rental tell you to load dish washer, there was no dishwasher. The biggest problem was the toilet which was unusually low. So low my husband could not get up and down from it. The only response from the property manager was “sorry the unit was not a good match for us.”
She refused a refund for the two nights we could not use. We left unit clean as instructed (well, we hand washed dishes as there was no dishwasher.)
We have happily used VRBO many time (easily dealing with quirks most homes have👍)
Unfortunately, this was the worse VRBO experience we have ever had. 😔
Small house with yard would work for couple with no mobility or joint issues.

We had a great stay at Waveseeker to enjoy the surrounding winter wonderland. The place was just the right size for the two of us and our dog.

Worked well for us
We enjoyed our stay here, it worked really well for us. We were able to walk to the grocery store and the brewery. It was an easy drive to the Maryhill museum and winery and the Mt biking trails we wanted to ride.

Cute and charming home!
My wife and I had an excellent holiday visit to Waveseeker. The place is definitely small but cozy which we knew it coming in it turned out perfect for us. The communication was great and when we asked to stay an extra day they replied promptly approving the change.

Nice Relaxing Home
Overall impression is that the outside leaves something to be desired, but all this is wiped away when you enter the home which is light, airy, fun, and inviting.
The only downside is that the internet went out after 24 hours and it was a weekend so no contact

Not great if it's hot...
Nice property, great location in White Salmon. Easy access to restaurants and grocery stores. Close to Hood River. Quiet and tranquil. Comfortable place. Air-conditioning is a stretch. There's a mobile unit in the bedroom area only, which isn't well sealed to the window. Works great keeping bedroom cool at night, but the living area will roast during the day. If its in the 70's you're fine, but once into the mid-upper 80's and above, it gets hot and stuffy in there. If you've got pets, check the yard very closely...one of our dogs got marijuana poisoning from a discarded butt during our first week there. Supposed to be a non-smoking property. Communication from property managers was woeful...no return calls or texts after we arrived.

Clean, simple
The property is not very picturesque, with the neighbor’s vehicles in the adjacent front yard. The place is simple- no frills. Also, there is no central A/C, but the unit in the bedroom works well. The management company was very nice and accessible. The kitchen is well equipped, the bed is comfortable, and all is clean. I would definitely stay here again.

Vacation in the gorge
The Columbia Gorge was beautiful and our location was convenient to Mt Hood and waterfalls. Wish we had known about toll bridge and lack of restaurants on Washington side where we were located. It was very hot & the AC unit was only able to keep the bedroom area cool. Kitchen & sitting area weren’t habitable until evening. The place was not as clean (dusty/spider webs) as I expected & we washed the sheets ourselves as the didn’t smell freshly washed. It was Ok for our short trip but I wouldn’t recommend it.

disappointing
Overall, I'd describe this property as barely adequate and disappointing, with an unpleasant, unkempt yard, and inadequate cooling. They have a portable a/c with its exhaust hose duct taped into the window that only kept the bedroom barely cool and couldn't cool the living room even with a big box fan blowing from one room to the other. As for the yard, the grass is all dead and they don't water because the sprinklers are broken per the prop mgmt company. There is no shade. We did get fresh plums from the tree. I stopped counting at more than 10 piles of dog poop in the yard. Whoever is supposed to clean this place or care for the yard certainly isn't doing their job. The lawn guys came when we were there and they didn't cut down the weeds that were there and they just spewed dirt and sticks and acorns around. When I complained, the prop mgmt co sent someone who cleaned up half the poop and raked a little and brought us a bulb for the bathroom. One ceiling light out in the LR; one bedroom lamp had a broken switch, and no bulb in the bath overhead light. Overall, this place just isn't properly taken care of/ not equipped for hot weather, has an unkempt yard, and I would not stay here again. Strong review but all true.

Nice For Two
This is a nice comfortable stop for two people. It appeared to have been cleaned well inside. This is our second stay this year and we'll probably be back.

I loved the place. It was close to where my son lives, very convenient.
I will stay there again. Very clean with all the amenities. I would suggest getting a new lockbox as it’s very difficult to put back together at the end of my stay,

White Salmon Home Review
This is a fun place to stay for a visit. Warm and comfortable home with a great place to relax. A lot of room for two or three people to stay and relax. On the lighter side, we stayed here in late September and had to watch for falling chestnuts from the tree in the side yard. A very nice place to stay for your visit to this area.

White Salmon
1) The area was not great. The next door neighbor's lot was quite cluttered and gave us a feel of not the best neighborhood. Suggest a fence to separate their property from the parking area for this rental.
2) We were first greeted with a sign on the gate and front door warning away anyone from inquiring to rent the property. Suggest removing the sign and adding a more welcoming message.
3) Inflexibility of Arrived to bend their cancellation/rescheduling policy when it is in the best interested of both parties. Your staff we talked to could not do anything except what was written. She had no one to communicate with to check for flexibility. I requested an email response from your manager and I have not received any at this time.
