Etxeak, lehen solairuan, gela haundi baten ditu batera sukaldea, jantokia eta saloia eta bi logel eta bainu bat; bigarren pisuan mezanin bat, logeala eta komun bear bat ditu. Kampoan terrace bat hegoruntz eta Read artibaiko mendiruntz begira dauka. Located on a magical hill surrounded by centuries-old oaks, two kilometers from the fishing village of Lekeitio and overlooking the Bay of Biscay. The house has a living room-dining room-open kitchen and two bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor. On the second floor there is a mezzanine bedroom and a bathroom. Outside it enjoys a south-facing terrace overlooking the mountains of Lea-Artibai. It is a perfect place for a family or group of friends who wants to enjoy nature (sea and mountains) and to discover the charms of Euskal Herria. ONGI ETORRI! Old Basque country school completely rehabilitated in 2017. Located on a magical hill surrounded by centenarian evergreen oaks, only two kilometers away from the fishing village of Lekeitio and overlooking the Gulf of Biscay. The house has an open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting room and two bedrooms and a bathroom on the ground floor. And on the first floor a mezzanine, a bedroom and a bathroom. It has a south-facing terrace overlooking the Lea-Artibai Mountains. This is a perfect place for a family or group of friends who want to enjoy nature (sea and mountain) and discover the treasures of the Basque Country. ONGI ETORRI!

The place is fantastic. There were six of us and the beautiful house offered living space, coolness and is fully equipped. The location is great as is the view. Relax at the house, swim in the sea, have drinks and snacks in beautiful and friendly Lekeitio or take (mountain) walks. Everything within short (walking) distance. Bilbao is only an hour away. In short, a great place with very hospitable and friendly owners. Highly recommended!

We loved to stay in this charming spacious old school house. It has so much atmosphere and was extremely well equipped with really everything you might need. Anne and her husband were very helpful and so welcoming. The scenery and the view from the terrace is wonderful. We appreciated our stay very much and would love to return. Eskerrik asko!!

We had a great stay at Anne and Keramon's beautifully converted schoolhouse. It's a great open space for a family, super clean, bbq and a cool terrace for relaxing. The location above Lekeitio, which has a great beach and loads to do, is handy for getting to lots of cool places in this part of the basque country. Finally, Anne and Keramon are great hosts, offering lots of really friendly help and advice. Go!

We loved staying in this charming renovated rural school. It had lots of atmosphere and was extremely well appointed with everything you might need. Anne and her husband were very helpful and welcoming. We appreciated their efforts to consider the environment, all very thoughtful. The surrounding area offered things to interest everyone. We would love to return.

Het huis is heerlijk ruim, licht, netjes en mooi ingericht, schoon. Wij voelden er ons thuis. Centraal gelegen tussen San Sebastian en Bilbao. Aardige gastheer en -vrouw.

Liebevoll umgebaute Räume einer alten Grundschule, Bäder neu und modern renoviert, Küche komplett ausgestattet incl. Waschmaschine. Herzlicher Empfang durch das Vermieter- Ehepaar.
Gute Basis für Wanderungen und Erkundungen des schönen Baskenlandes.

Our family had a wonderful time. Anna and Kerman who live near the house have been very welcoming. The house has been recently renovated, is well appointed, and is very clean. Our kids age 8 to 11 enjoyed the garden very much.

Alojamiento fantástico en una zona de gran belleza a pocos minutos a pie de Lekeitio. Excelente trato de Anne, pendiente de cualquier necesidad o contratiempo.

La douceur de l'hiver
C'est une maison parfaite posée sur le flanc d'une colline avec une vue superbe sur la baie de Lekeitio. On peut partir à pied de la maison, pour aller marcher dans la nature ou descendre à la ville, un vrai plaisir. La maison est très bien équipée et Anne et Kermann toujours disponible et plein de bon conseil. Une destination idéale.

Sehr schönes Ferienhaus
Das sehr schöne Ferienhaus, ein renoviertes altes baskisches Schulhaus, liegt wunderschön in den Bergen oberhalb von Lekeitio. Von der Terrasse hat man einen tollen Blick in die Berge und seitlich auch auf die Stadt und das Meer. Das Haus ist sauber und super eingerichtet. Es fehlt einem an nichts.
Man wird sehr herzlich von Anne und ihrem Mann Kerman begrüsst und die beiden tuen alles, um einem den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen und haben viele Tipps für Aktivitäten, etc.. Bessere Gastgeber kann man sich nicht wünschen.
Zu Fuss kann man in ca. 20 Minuten nach Lekeitio laufen um dort in der Stadt zu verweilen oder an den Strand zu gehen. Zu einem der schönsten Strände in der Umgebung (Laga) sind es ca. 20 Minuten mit dem Auto. In San Sebastian und Bilbao ist man jeweils in etwas mehr als einer Stunde mit dem Auto.
Wir (2 Erwachsene und 3 Kinder) haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und können das Haus nur allen empfehlen. Wenn es uns das nächste mal nach Spanien zieht, werden wir definitiv wieder in das Haus zurückkommen.
Vielen Dank noch mal an Anne und Kerman für die schöne Zeit.

Heerlijk huis in mooie omgeving met zeer aardige gastvrouw
Het huis is ruim en goed uitgerust (goede bedden, goede douche, volledig ingerichte keuken). Zeer attente gastvrouw/heer die altijd direct reageren. Heerlijk gegeten in Lekeitio (tip van Anne!).

Paradijsje
Een unieke plek. In de verte de zee en temidden van bergen ligt dit smaakvol verbouwde en ingerichte schooltje. Gebruik gemaakt van de eco produkten die in huis aanwezig waren. Genoten van de gastvrijheid van de eigenaren. We komen graag terug!

Excellent in every way
It was a joy to be able to stay in this beautifully renovated house with so much history! Ann and Kerman were really lovely and went out of their way to make sure we all enjoyed our stay. The house is well equipped with high quality furniture, kitchen ware, it has everything you could need. We appreciated the sensitive way they have restored this old school house using natural methods and materials where possible. The town is walking distance (though we drove with our two small kids) and enjoyed exploring its charming harbour and playing on the beach there.
We loved everything about this house and are missing it already!!

Una joya muy cerca de Lekeitio con anfitriones excepcionales
Es un lugar idóneo para desconectar del día a día, con excepcionales anfitriones, un trato inmejorable en todo lo que necesites. La casa decorada con una mezcla de detalles nórdicos y piezas de caserío la hacen muy acogedora, con amplios ventanales que dejan entrar muchísima luz, en perfecto estado de limpieza y orden y equipada con todo lo que puedas necesitar y más.
Ideal para ir con niños con zona verde sin nada de tráfico alrededor, con barbacoa y hamacas para tomar el sol.
Una casa para repetir.

We'll stay for longer next time!
This is a joy of a place - 2km from the sea & surrounded by hills, coast, fishing villages & historic towns with museums & the Guggenheim, fully equipped with everything you could ask for & with Anne, who couldn't have done more.The first time we've stayed in Spain, apart from with family in Barcelona & quite one of the best cottages we've had anywhere.The Basque region is a very special place - we will definitely be returning in the not too distant future!
