I love the location and that its theme is a secret base. If you are a light traveler and just need a bed to stay in and you will be out most of the day, this is a great place to stay. The host was very kind and patient. His English is very good! The shared space is cozy and there are lockers to secure important belongings. It’s very safe to keep your things here as there is security cameras and a locked entrance. It’s also located right next to the Mejiro station too!! You can access many parts of Tokyo and come back to the secret base which is more quiet. There are lots of conbinis nearby too
Other guests were a little rude/messy. Never the fault of the hostel though. There are plenty of etiquette signs around that people seemed to not follow. It was fine for me though as it didn’t bother me. They mentioned they have reinvested and upgraded for a more comfortable stay; very impressive and awesome! The next thing they could do is to work on the creaks of ladders climbing to upper bunk and somehow making the upper bunk more padded so the bottom is not affected. I was on upper bunk and tried to move quietly but it was still pretty tough

I've stayed here a handful of times, and the location is perfect. Mejiro is a lovely place, and this is a great, small little hostel if you just want somewhere to sleep for the night. It may not be the right place for you if you want to make friends and connect with other travelers, but it's great for a quick, one-night stay.
I saw a bedbug near me when I woke up, so despite liking the location, I won't be staying here anymore. Aside from that, there's only one toilet, and the AC doesn't filter into the sleeping areas well.

Excellent location, few minutes walk from station.
No toiletries or towels provided. Mattress was a little thin.

The receptionist was kind and very helpful. I didn't speak any Japanese and he was very patient with me. It was a nice affordable place to stay as an alternative. All accommodation in this price range was sold out in Shinjuku.
It was practical place to stay, wash up, leave your gears and sleep, when you get back home. If your looking for something cheap and just 2 stops away from Shinjuku. It's a great alternative.

The entire atmosphere is fantastic. great host, and even greater location. I loved it here and I will definitely come back. 1 minute walk to a famous station, but there is zero noise inside the place.

Its a tiny space but very well located. The beds are comfortable and feels very private.
There is a lot of space for the showers and bathrooms.
They have no utensils whatsoever and pretty much no space for food or eating. This is perfect if you are work traveling just getting a place to sleep, no hang out or cook.
Bad thing, I saw them "cleaning" the beds and they didnt changed the sheets after each person. The whole room smelled like old sweat. Other than that, the other areas where pretty clean.

the location, the staff were friendly, the space was comfortable
People would come in at like 11pm with loud talking, and there wasn't any of drowning out the sound

Gave earplugs, could check in without contact with people, other travellers were super nice, extremely close to the station (Mejiro) with easy access to the Yamanote line.
Needed to rent a charger but they weren't where the signs said they would be with no one to ask.

Really close to Mejiro Station, and because it's off a side street it's pretty quiet. It's fairly basic and, more importantly, was available on the Friday night I was visiting Tokyo. Beds are in 'capsule' form with curtains, some of the beds are in rooms (mine was 4 beds to a room), the door is another curtain so sound does travel. Mixed gender beds.
This place seems to cater to longer stayers, and I honestly thought the price was a little high. Had to pay 200円 for a rental towel too, but it was easy to pay with 電子マネー.
It was quite warm in my 'capsule', so I had trouble sleeping. Also I woke to another (very drunk) guest that I thought was trying to get into my bed, but he may have been trying to get into the bed above mine to turn the light off.

Crazy close to the yamanote line, so super easy to get to shinjuku and shibuya.
Super small so you can hear everything that goes on in the whole floor. There wasn’t any staff until check out, and we ran out of toilet paper in the morning, so it just went unstocked because the reserves were behind a locked staff only door. Common space is super small. No real kitchen option. Only 2 toilets for around 20+ beds. Paper towels also ran out with no backup one morning. I just dislike the whole staff-less approach

the location was nice, only a few stops away from harajuku/shinjuku/shibuya and akihabara.
mejiro itself is quite quiet and not much going on there.
the bed wasn’t very comfortable and mostly older people stayed at the hostel so if you’re looking to make friends or meet people i’d suggest somewhere else.

some noises during bed times

-Staff are so polite, Friendly & have a good manner.
-The location was very convenient close to the Mejiro station.
-Other guess mostly so good manner and try to keep quiet at night. Appreciate that so much.
First time in my life to stay at accommodation as the hostel style.
At first, I was worried whether it would be okay or not.
Because I am a stay alone woman and this accommodation didn't separate males and females from each other.
Turned out, it was much better than I expected.
Most other guests have a good manner and don't make noise late at night when everyone is going to bed.
Makes my sleep quality quite good everyday I had wakeup :)
If I go to Tokyo again and have a limited budget for accommodation, I guess I would decide to stay here again.
Because this place is very close to Family Mart and Mejiro Station. It makes traveling around very convenient.
Thank you for the nice experience of first time hostel staying in my life :)
-very strong smell of urine inside the toilet
-There should be an elevator or a device that helps drag luggage up to the accommodation on the 2nd floor. It's inconvenient for the big size of luggage.

great location, right next the mejiro station on the Yamanote sen. the staff was kind
nothing

the bed was bigger than I thought, was nice and spacious
no mention of no lift, had 30+kg suitcase, couldn’t open the door for ages as lid needs to be pulled back down and up again for it to work and all lights are on all through the night and day

Nothing
There was no stuff.

The staff allowed me to check in early. The location was very convenient for places I planned to go. There was wifi and the room was clean and comfortable.

location is great. staff helpful and quiet location considering its right next to the station on a mojor line
The fact that there is no kitchen and the bachelor fridge is much too small for a hostel.
