Apartment located in a square in the historic center of Monterosso al Mare, completely renovated a few years ago. Very convenient because in the square there is the butcher's shop, supermarket, bazaar, bar, pastry shop, restaurants and pizzerias a few minutes.
The beach of Monterosso Centro is only a few minutes away.
The apartment has an independent heating system for which it is possible to rent it in the winter season as well.
For those who love hiking, Monterosso has several scenic routes for nearby FIRST TERRE locations.
Tips & Activities
Walking and boat excursions to other Cinque Terre countries and other nearby towns.
A visit to the famous Aquarium of Genoa is recommended.

The apartment is comfortable and homey, clean, and with new appliances. It could sleep four easily in two bedrooms, plus a dining room/living room and large kitchen. The location could not be better, in the heart of the old side of Monterosso, in the midst of cafes, bars, and restaurants, but very quiet in the evenings. It's about a 10 minute walk from the train station, over terrain that is easy enough with a roller bag. Highly recommended.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this unit in June and loved everything about it. The location was perfect, right above a delicious restaurant. The street was relatively quiet at night, as we were not in the apartment during the day. Monterosso was our favorite stop on the trip and we greatly appreciated Andrea's hospitality. We will stay here again when we return to Italy!

We stayed for three nights. The location was in the center. Just under great dining and local shopping. Would stay here again!

The apartment had everything we needed including a washing machine and air conditioning units. Andrea accommodated an earlier check in for us. You may need to use a translation app since Andrea doesn’t speak English. Beautiful apartment in a great neighborhood.

Andrea was a wonderful host. She checked in days before we arrived and arranged for a time to meet at the apartment. The listing was described accurately. There is a Steep set of stairs to access property, which isn’t unexpected in location, but definitely something to be aware of if traveling with someone who might have difficulty with stairs. Wonderful property would definitely stay again.

Wonderful location right in the heart of town -- really couldn't be better! Nicely renovated apartment that even includes air conditioning, which was critical during our hot and humid August visit. Parking is a challenge, so be prepared ahead of time; we didn't do our homework and couldn't find the correct spot in time for the taxi, so we ended up parking in the expensive beach lot. Regardless, a classic Italian experience!

Very Nice Apartment - Great Location
My wife and I stayed at Andrea's apt. for two nights in October.
Communication with the owner was great, the apartment was very nice and clean, the bed was comfortable and the location is in the heart of Old Town. It's a 10-15 minute walk from the train and 10 minutes to the trail that links Monterosso al Mare to Vernazza. The trail was absolutely beautiful, it took us about two hours to complete (a pretty big climb up and then down) and was worth every step.
We arrived in Monterosso a little earlier then the check-in time and Andrea made arrangements for getting us in early.
Overall I would definitely recommend this apartment to friends.
Thanks Andrea for all your help.

Great location and convenient!
We were so happy with the location and convenience of the property. A challenging drive to get to the car drop off area, but communication with the owner and personal contact with them made it so much easier. Their English is not wonderful but we could communicate our needs. We were in the old part of the town and loved being there. The 17 step walk up was challenging with the luggage, but doable. The 2 bedroom apartment, kitchen and bathroom were adequate but I felt the bathroom needed a good cleaning as well as the mat. No living room...at the dining room table you could sit and watch TV, but who would want to do that when visiting this town.
The restaurant directly below the property is very good but get reservations by emailing. It was a simple process...plus the waitress that looks like Meghan Markle was delightful! The bar across from the property was excellent and fun to speak to the other tourists.
We loved Monterosso and the ease of getting around the area!

Perfect Location
Was a great experience. Absolutely perfect for the location and Monterosso experience. The place is old & the power will go out on you frequently if you use the AC but it’s all part of the adventure. You’ll have to carry your bags from the train station through the tunnel to old town (for those of you who haven’t ever been to Monterosso) and up one flight of stairs once you reach the apartment door, but it’s manageable.

Nice apartment in a vibrant, central location
The apartment is well located and very-well equipped. Andrea was sick so his wife Gianna met us and introduced us to the apartment and Monterosso/Cinque Terre. Even without any English she was able to give us the information we needed. The apartment had a good supply of necessary tourist information including the train and ferry schedules for visiting all five lands.
The trains operate every 10-20 minutes about 17 hours a day and are free with a pass to the national park (necessary to hike any of the trails).
The apartment is right in the heart of the "action" with many good restaurants within 7 minutes' walking time, 50 ft. from a small grocery store and 0-5 minutes of many interesting shops.
The air conditioning was capable of freezing us out, but was easily controlled with a remote control, and the laundry worked well.
The view of the entire Cinque Terre from the beach--about 3-4 minutes' walk away, on a clear day or erening, is stunning.
Monterosso is a lot of "place", especially for such a small town. The Cinque Terre are definitely not to be missed, and Borgo Antico is a great base from which to experience it.

Great location and plenty of space. Kitchen was well stocked (except for wine glasses). It would be nice if there was a couch or chairs to sit in (there were two dining tables and eight straight chairs, taking a set out would leave room for a small living area). Fairly old but kept up; we were comfortable there for two nights and loved being so close to everything. The apartment felt safe.

Fantastic, Very central location and attentive hosts. Clean apartment, with all the kitchen items we needed. It is not very soundproof, with lots of noise from the street below and other flats.

UN THE HEART OF MONTEROSSO
Flat is perfectly situated!! Central to everything in Monterosso!!
Train 5 min walk. Vernazza is 2 min away on train.
Only reason I did not give 5 stars was that heat at night seemed to not heat flat even if I raised temp on thermostat.
This place is perfect to explore Cinque Terre!!

Great location
Right in the center of town. A bit loud due to the restaurant underneath. Not as many amenities as we have had at our other VRBO’s. We cook but had a hard time due to no olive oil or salt and pepper. When you are flying you do not carry that stuff.
There were also 3 of us but only 2 large towels so sitting in the beach was a bit uncomfortable.
Owner was friendly and worked very hard to communicate with us even with our language barrier-which we very much appreciated!
Loved Monterosso. This was our second trip there and hope to go back.

Great location, in the heart of the village
We were met by the owners wife, and she took us up to our room, showed us where everything was. Nice and spacious, with almost everything you could need. Don't forget to bring your own coffee and sugar, for the mornings. It is right above some of the restaurants, and the smells will drive you down to eat, but make sure to make a reservation as they fill up quickly. The church bells were quite charming. Everything about the place is charming in fact. The windows that open up to the village, can have you sitting there just people watching. Being 5 minutes walk from the beach if you'd like a day off to relax is perfect too. Clean and as advertised if not better. We will stay there again on our next trip!

Wonderful historic apartment
We had a fabulous stay in the historic apartment of Andrea located in old town Monterosso. The location could not have been better for visiting the village - it was central to everything and did not require walking up steep hills or many steps to be in town. It is a bit noisy outside the windows at night due to Eliseo’s bar downstairs (a nice place for a drink) but quiets down around midnight . Andrea was thoughtful enough to pick us up at the train station, which is a lifesaver for those who travel with large suitcases. She is very sweet and even though there was a language barrier, she used a translation app to make everything go smoothly. I would stay in this apartment again anytime - just know that there are no kitchen basics at all such as oil, salt, pepper, etc, so if you plan to prepare any meals you will have to shop for everything. We loved the town and apartment but as a final word, there is a rather steep staircase entering the building up to the apartment door so it would not be a good choice for elderly or unstable travelers.

We loved our time at Andreas apartment in Monterosso - there were two bedrooms (one double and one with three single beds), a shared family bathroom, living area with large table and a kitchen/diner so plenty of room (we were three single females but it would easily suit a family). The location is extremely central and is accessible by one flight of stairs. No air-con, but this reflected in the price, and fans were provided for each bedroom and although it was hot and humid, the fans were sufficient. Andrea was very obliging, helping us with parking and transport into Monterosso. Would definitely recommend Andreas apartment and I would absolutely stay here again. PS - the restaurant directly below the apartment is absolutely fantastic, a must go-to.

Perfect Location, Darling Apartment & Great Hosts!
We arrived by car and our gracious hosts were so patient in explaining directions and then setting us up with free parking (almost nonexistent in that area). Then she showed us around the apartment and was so hospitable. The location was perfect and so quaint. Cafes/wine bars were right outside our door and the beach was just steps away. Really great location and overall wonderful experience! Perfect for couples and families!

beautiful place
We spent two days here and couldn't have hoped for anything better. The apartment is in a very nice location and the view is beautiful! The place was very clean and tidy and the host was super nice! He arranged a taxi to pick us up and drop us off from the train station that was really helpful! Highly, highly recommend this place!

Very comfortable and convenient
This apartment is in a delightful location in the old town, an easy walk to the train station. Good food and good wine all around. It is over a restaurant and across from a lovely wine bar so voices carried up until closing time, just conversation that added to the ambiance. No car nor bus noises, yeah. Lots of room in the apartment and everything worked. Host provided good info and recommendations.

Great stay.
The location was excellent! The beds were comfortable and the home was clean. The kitchen lacked a little luster. There were not even wine glasses! The washer did not work. Instead of a large table in the living room and couple comfy chairs to relax in would be a better set up.

Excellent position. Taxi met us at the station. Check in was easy & apartment was as advertised
We loved the position of the apartment. Not far from the beach & in the centre of town. The only issue was the lack of anyrhing in the kitchen. No milk, coffee, sugar etc or salt & pepper or condiments which made home cooking impossible. The beds were very uncomfortable also. In saying that, it is the perfect place for a couple staying only a day or two. We didn't meet the owner but he organised a taxi to meet us off the train and check in was very easy. I would recommend if you didnt want to cook at home.

Charming and well appointed apartment in a fantastic location. Very helpful & accommodation owner.
The two-bedroom apartment is charming and located in a prime location - right above one of the best restaurants in Monterosso. In fact, the location is in the heart of town, with everything within 3-5 min walking distance. The owner, Roberta arranged for a taxi to meet us at the train station and another to take us back to the train station when we left Monterosso. The taxi ride was only about a minute long but it was helpful because we had luggage and children. The taxi fare was pre-paid by the owners, which was unexpected, unnecessary, and an unusually nice touch. Roberta and her young son met us at the taxi and accompanied us along the short walk to the apartment - and did the same when we left. The apartment was well-appointed with a washer/dryer, linens, towels, extra blankets, wifi, and a nice hot shower. One bedroom had a queen-size bed and the other had a trundle bed/loft combo that could easily sleep three. My boys loved the loft bed.
Some reviewers have commented on a language barrier but we had no trouble communicating with Roberta or Andrea. Monterosso is a quaint Italian town; none of the locals speak English with perfect fluency. This is one of the reasons people choose Cinque Terre as a vacation destination. Roberta gave us a few dining and activity suggestions - they were all perfect. It happened to rain the entire time we were there and the walking/hiking trails were closed due to the weather. Despite this, we had a great time visiting Monterosso and the other seaside villages by train. I would definitely stay at this location again, in part because of how pleasant and accommodating the owners are. One recommendation I can offer is to make reservations for the restaurant immediately below the apartment upon arrival. It becomes quite difficult to get a table without a reservation as the day progresses.

We had such an amazing stay in this beautiful apartment!
It was in a great location, right above amazing shops and restaurants. A three minute walk away from the beach. This place was beautiful and Andrea was so sweet! There was a language barrier but he made it work using translation apps. He was incredibly helpful and I will absolutely stay here again when I visit Cinque Terre in the future!

Loved it!
Staying in the heart of the old town of Monterosso was a great experience! There are great bars and restaurants right at the doorstep and it is a short stroll to every amenity and transport! Andrea was very helpful (despite the language barrier - we all used whatsapp n google translate) and was there whenever we had questions or needed anything! Highly recommend!
