Friendly staff, food service staff was amazing!!
Showers were the worst I’d seen, no water pressure at all and nearly no hot water. The AC was full on or full off, first you would sweat then when you turned it on it would freeze the sweat.

It was a good stay, services was good as well. Check-in was swift.
Taste of the foods in their breakfast buffet could be improve.
9.0 / 10.0
I like it because my child enjoys and love the pool and water park adventure.
What I didn't like is that shower isn't really working well in my room, as well as in my parents room,

I’ve had the pleasure of staying at Solea Mactan Resort seven times since March 2023, and each visit has been a delight. The exceptional service and hospitality provided by the team truly stand out.
A special shoutout to Jefrel and his amazing team at Sandy Bar, including Harrie, Chabs, Bryan, Novie, and the kitchen staff. Hellboy, Marvie, Al, Alex, Lara, and Raymark consistently went above and beyond, making each visit memorable with their attention to detail and enthusiasm.
Christopher and Argilyn, the dayshift managers at Earth Restaurant, were professional and committed to guest satisfaction. Rina and her team at Skybar Restaurant also provided wonderful service, adding a special touch to our dining experiences.
I was particularly impressed with the recent changes made by Medz, the new beverage manager. His improvements to the drinks have been fantastic, and I’m excited to see what new ideas he brings in the future.
The general staff across the resort deserve commendation as well. Their willingness to help and always smiling faces truly enhanced our experience, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Thank you to the entire team at Solea Mactan Resort for making each stay memorable. I look forward to returning and seeing the exciting developments at the resort!
While our experiences have been overwhelmingly positive, I do have a small piece of constructive feedback. The recent shift in the music selection at Sandy Bar towards a more chill-out vibe contrasts with the previous upbeat, beachy atmosphere. It would be great to see the introduction of a DJ on Sundays to revive that vibrant spirit. Additionally, bringing back the option to request songs would add a personal touch to the experience.
Lastly, I’d suggest considering a loyalty program for returning guests. A system that allows guests to accumulate points and progress through tiers (e.g., bronze, silver, gold) could be a fantastic way to reward repeat visitors and encourage future stays.

Very family friendly, nice kiddie pools. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Free shuttle to SM seaside was very convenient. Buffet is amazing.
The beach isn’t very great, but the swimming pools make up for it. Overall location was a bit secluded, no nearby food option but the hotel restaurant which was excellent but a bit pricey.

We liked the breakfast and the abundance of pools. It was also nice that there were a lot of facilities to try out such as the spa and game room, al though we didn't get to try them all. Room could be improved.
Some rooms have inconsistent equipment such as one room having no bidet while the other does. Or one room has a hair blower while the other doesn't. Shower pressure and overall shower could be improved, as well as adding additional necessities such as hair conditioner, lotion, etc.

Pool facilities were good, bar and Barbeque beside the large pool was excellent staff here were great and fun to deal with.
No Salad at all available at dinner, no Tiramasu for desert this was a big weekend and the kitchen was not fully stocked. The sky bar is a waste of time as there is nothing to see, at the front only the pools and dark ocean and at the back only the shacks and chickens. Breakfast buffet is mess with no organisation. Staff need to understand English better and the check in staff need to be more professional. I am sure that this was a nice resort when it was newt now it is run down and neglected.

Resort was nice, plenty of pools, clean and things to do in them. Staff helpful and friendly.
Nothing to do outside the resort itself, a long way from anywhere or anything else. Taxis are available but in some cases don't use the meter and quote silly prices. Food is limited and overpriced with no other options. Queuing for somewhere to sit for breakfast at pretty much all times. No lifeguard available at the sea area, Kayaks share the same space as the swimmers, which is dangerous.

I like the new aqua park and the inflatables
Could have been more flexible to charging breakfast for kids who does not eat that much for breakfast

Many pools, enjoyable for kids.
Rooms not safe for senior citizens. No handle bar in the restrooms, no rubber mat. No emergency call button as well. Parking was too far. Parkings near each hotel building should be given to those staying near each building. We always end up parking far away because guests not staying in our building tend to park in the parking lot nearest to our building.

They have good amenities. It’s perfect for family. The kids will def. Enjoy.
The check in time is loooong! We waited in the lobby. My mom, niece and nephew are sleeping by the lobby waiting for are rooms to be ready. After 30 mins. I went back to the receptionist and was told only 1 room is ready. I took it for my family to rest. Then it’s already 6pm when I get the 2nd room.

Amazing breakfast buffet! Wonderful amenities and lots of water activities to offer. Wonderful view of the sea. Comfortable bed. Auto-connect wifi in most parts of the resort.
The room that we were in unfortunately has no bidet or there was but it was removed. The water in the shower and the sink tasted very salty.

It was good customer service overall.
A few things
1. COASTER CHARGE - Upon check out we were surprised to be charged a coaster. Apparently there were 4 coasters in the room that were not supposedly thrown away as it would cost P100 each. It would have been well and good if we were told and warned when we checked in, but no. No warnings/notices in the room, or manual and not even when we checked in. I feel like we were robbed in our face. It's just P100, I know. What I am not impressed with is we were blinded about it. We are not the only guests who were stunned by it, the next two lot of guests who checked out after us were also surprised. It was a disposable looking coaster with Solea logo in it. We didn't bother and take notice of it as it seemed like a coaster that can just be tossed. And since, we were not informed, we didn't mind it. Having a kid, I cannot keep track of the resort's property all the time.
2. UNCOORDINATED - We did an extension stay. This one in booking.com. it clearly stated breakfast included. The following day, as we wanted and excited to eat brekky, we were halted as they said our room did not have breakfast included. I need to be charged. I showed her my booking, and the inclusions. Since they were from the restaurant it is natural that they would check with the reception. What was not natural was taking 45mins of my time. I had to go to the reception to go sort it, and took a lot of my time. I gave them my booking number, and it showed that it is included, so what went wrong? They placed it in the room that wasn't ours. Why would you do that with the guest? Wouldn't their booking and confirmation enough?

crowded resto

The facilities! It's really for kids and family bonding.
The bathroom, shower area doesn't have a full partition that tends to make the entire toilet floods when taking a shower. And also lack of comfortable seating area in the room.

Breakfast was decent
The staff during Breakfast was courteous and attentive
Room was small
The exterior of the building (resort) needs some sprucing up
Overall the resort looks "worn"

Kid friendly and lots of amenities for kids
Checking in was such a hassle I expected it to be paperless. Having everything in paper makes it time consuming. My hotel room was not properly cleaned which is understandable with the amount of guest the hotel has.

Everything! This is my favorite resort in Cebu. Beach was clean, pools were all fun and clean, food was great, staff were all attentive and polite. The hallway and bedroom smelled amazing, which is wonderful! That's something that you don't experience in most hotels. The restaurants have amazing food. I personally like the the restaurant by the inflatables. Their grilled meat is deeeelish! Also it is a no smoking property. Perfect for families.
Poor internet connection. I work online and it would have been nice to be able to work and have fun at the same time. Also, the location is a little bit of a hassle if you dont have a car, however, the staff is very helpful in getting a ride for you. This place is amazing and I will definitely come back with my family.

Great facilities and many pools to enjoy!
I wish there were options for halal food, or vegetarian at least.

The staff provided exceptional service.
Absolutely five star service. The food and beverages were also excellent. I had no hot water in my room for 7 days. The room was cleaned every 2nd day if I was lucky and the maintenance and up keep of the building and furnishings was extremely poor. The hotel needs to be renovated urgently.
Staff, food, beverages, service = 5 stars
Buildings, furniture, cleaning and general appearance of the resort = 2 stars
