About this apartment rental
Already in the 14th century, 'De Drie Koningen' was one of the 'guest houses' where visitors could stay overnight. Since 1995 this tradition of hospitality can be found here again.
Today you will find 6 spacious and very comfortable holiday homes at this location, named 'De Drie Koningen'. They all have the same level of comfort with a spacious living room, fitted kitchen, 1 to 2 bathrooms with bath or walk-in shower, 1 to 4 bedrooms, etc ... They are spread over 3 buildings:
Twijnstraat 13: the building dates from the 14th century. The medieval aspect has unfortunately disappeared because it was thoroughly renovated in 1839 in the spirit of that time: a large mansion in neoclassical style. In 1997 the building was divided into 3 apartments: St-Donaas on the ground floor, St-Niklaas on the first floor and St-Jacob on the second floor. In 2002, the basement "De Vergulde Fontein" was completely excavated. The history of 'De Drie Koningen' came to light and one of the most beautiful 14th century cellars in Bruges was finally exposed. In this magnificent cellar you can attend now beer tastings, small events and Argentinian tango classes. From 2016 onwards, the apartments were once again renovated one by one in order to comply with the imposed safety regulations and the contemporary wishes of the visitors.
Twijnstraat 17: was originally part of a former notary's house from the 17th century in the Ridderstraat. At the beginning of the 20th century it became a private hospital with a doctor's practice until 1999. During the renovation in 2001 all outbuildings were demolished and a patio was created. This beautifully enclosed communal city garden (including a small swimming pool) gives access to 3 different apartments: "St-Jan" on the ground floor, "Onze-Lieve-Vrouw" above the former coach house and "Carmers" on the second floor. From 2017 onwards, the apartments were renovated for the last time.
A 'home away from home' for a pleasant holiday with friends or family.
This ground floor apartment of 110 m2 is located at Twijnstraat 13. The building originally dates from the 14th century, but the apartment was completely renovated in 2016 in a contemporary way, but with respect for the authentic elements: high ceilings, spacious rooms, decorations in 'empire' style. The apartment 'St-Donaas' has a spacious living room with dining and sitting area, a fully equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms (1 queen-size bed and 2 single beds), nice bathroom with walk-in shower and bathtub, separate toilet, etc.
The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances: induction hob, fridge with freezer compartment, oven and microwave, dishwasher, ...
Furthermore, this apartment has a private terrace with a city garden as an additional asset. Since it is a ground floor apartment and there are no stairs, it is particularly suitable for guests who are less mobile.

The location of this property cannot be beat. Easy walk to the city center, museums, restaurants, a small grocery store and other places of interest. Big plus was that parking in a garage was also available for a small fee. Kitchen had everything needed to cook on your own and there was a nice community space available with maps, beer and wine and DVDs. Beautiful small garden with a simple statue was a lovely touch off of the main bedroom at the property where we stayed.

We loved staying in this apartment - it was so convenient for the centre of Bruges. I loved that in order to get to the nearest decent grocery involved all of a 5-minute walk crossing a canal at one of its most scenic points. In not much time at all from the flat you are surrounded by beauty. The flat itself is incredibly spacious and perfect for a family of four. We loved that there was a separate lounge, dining room and kitchen. Only minor drawback was the single toilet, but very minor. Great experience overall! (Good management as well, we had an initial problem with the keycode but our contact showed up within 2-3 minutes and had us sorted). Would stay here again!

Amazing apartment in a fantastic location!
I cannot express enough how much I enjoyed my stay at the Sant Donaas apartment. It is large, spacious, and modern. Very comfortable with every amenity. The location is great! Next to the Markt and several good restaurants. Nico is a great host!! I am looking forward to staying there again when I return in August. If you are looking for a lovely place to stay in a nice neighborhood and near the center of the city, this is it! There can't be anything better in Bruges!

Excellent property in a great location
We had a lovely few days in Bruges. The apartment was clean, spacious, very well equipped and in a great location. We could not fault it. The owner, Nico, was very helpful and obliging. He provided all the information we needed regarding the apartment and what to see and do in Bruges. I would certainly recommend this apartment to anyone.

Friendly hosts, beautiful apt, great location. Father and son stayed a week, plenty of room within walking distance to shops and restaurants. When returning to Bruge would surely rent again.

St. Donaas
There were 3 of us, one couple and one single adult. We were pleasantly surprised as to how spacious the apartment was: the descriptions were very accurate. The kitchen was well-equipped and had room for a dining table (in addition to the larger dining table in the dining room), bathroom large with good shower, living room comfortable. We also rented a garage space as we arrived by car and found that we could walk everywhere: great coffee shop on the corner, excellent choice of restaurants (including Cambrinus with genuine Belgian cuisine), supermarket and sights. Walking to the train station for a day out to Brussels was relatively easy. The owner is a fluent English speaker and helpful. It was a perfect place to stay to see Brugge. Make sure to ask to see the basement for a surprise!

great location, excellent hosts hosts
The unti was very comfortable, one could not ask for a better location close to all facilities but in quiet street. If we return to Brugge would not consider any other location. Ann and Nico were most helpful, coud not fault.

St Niklaas
We loved it here. The central location, the ambience, the lot! The Market Square is a two minute walk away, with restaurants almost on the door step. The owners have gone to great lengths to ensure a warm welcoming stay. The apartment is beautiful, the honesty bar is well stock and very reasonably priced and the bread delivery service is also a great touch. Would highly recommend.

Simply wonderful
We rented St. Donaas and had a fantastic time. The accommodation is superb and far superior to staying in a hotel. The location is unbelievable, you are right in the heart of Bruges. Nico and Ann were on vacation whilst we were there, but their daughter Evie looked after us. We got stranded because of the rail strikes and couldn't get a taxi so Ben, Evie's partner personally drove us to the airport. No hotel would give you that kind of service! Thankyou both so much for the kindness you showed.
Fantastic place and we will definitely return.

Fabulous home away from home
We rented the 3 bedroom, two bathroom apartment and were delighted with the location, comfort and charm of the property.
It was wonderful to return after a busy sightseeing day and feel relaxed and at home. Nico and Ana have over 200 DVDs that you can watch, an honor, well stocked bar system and a fresh bakery delivery service. We would definitely recommend this property to any of our friends.

We enjoyed a long weekend in Brugges. The appartment is ideally situated as a 2 minute walk takes you to all the main areas. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable and the hosts extremely pleasant. The private garden was great with a table and sun beds. We would stay again.
