The A-Frame is situated in Peru, Vermont. Peru was chartered in 1721. Today, the small village is home to a post office and JJ Hapgood's General store, a great place for a few quick groceries or to stop and grab a gourmet meal (breakfast, lunch and dinner) or glass of wine or local beer. Five miles East in Londonderry there is a number of great restaurants and the nearest supermarket. Manchester, VT is 12 miles to the West and is the larger metropolis near Peru (with a bustling population of ~5,000 as of the 2010 census). Manchester is home to restaurants and is well known for its outlet shopping as well as the Northshire Bookstore. If you are a lover of books Northshire Bookstore is a must.

Visited for the fall foliage, and Vermonr is absolutely stunning. Bromely house was clean, comfortable and was as advertised. Location was perfect for our stay. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

Fit our needs to a T! We had some friends stay and it worked out great. A couple of minor issues which Mike was able to remedy quickly. We'll be back. Al

We enjoyed our stay at the Aframe house. It was very relaxing to sit outside and listen to the brook surrounded by white birch trees. The home had all of the necessities we needed for the weekend. Comfortable beds, cozy living room with fireplace and nicely renovated bathrooms. It was conveniently located near the main road. The general store was a great spot for breakfast and last minute items.

We came to the area for a memorial service and found the house to be very comfortable and in a convenient location.

Bromley A-frame is one of the most enjoyable places we have stayed at. It has the quirks and characteristics of an older home with well done upgrades to the kitchen and bathrooms, set in a quiet country setting. Kitchen was well equipped for meal preparations. Bathrooms updated, with good water pressure and temperature. Liked that the two main bedrooms were on opposite sides of the home, with bathroom close by. For added privacy, largest bedroom has door that separates it and the bathroom from rest of the house. Also, liked that living room fireplace warmed the entire living area up. Wood for fire was supplied and easily accessible to house. Lots of activities to do in nearby area. We are definitely returning with friends and family.
One observation (but not complaint) is that kitchen and living room windows do not have curtains to close for privacy. While the area is wooded and mostly private, those who usually walk around in minimal clothing (my husband) may feel more comfortable brings a coverup.
Highly recommend this home and area.

Pleasant house in superb location — near many attractions, including Manchester, excellent hiking, good food, and classic and stunning Vermont views in every direction. Owner very responsive and thoughtful, clearly cares that his tenants have an enjoyable stay.

THE Diamond of Manchester
I mean, this place cannot be accurately described with words. Perfectly situated 10 minutes from downtown Manchester, and 5 minutes from Bromley Ski Resort, I couldn't find a better location if I tried. Then you pull onto the dirt road, and you're inundated by an array of the most beautiful fall foliage I've ever seen. You have to take morning walks down the road, past the farm; you see endless unpopulated land that I could stare at all day. The cabin is adorable, perfectly furnished, and 3 great bedrooms. There is no better spot in the surrounding Manchester area, and Mike is the best Vrbo host I've had.

Beautiful spot under the trees
This light filled cabin has windows everywhere and is tucked away in a private spot in the mountains. We enjoyed peaceful days amongst the birch trees, wading in the stream, or swimming at the pond nearby. Tons of hiking trails nearby! But when we needed something it was a short drive to nearby towns with stores. Michael was helpful and responsive to any questions we had. Thanks for a great vacation!

We stayed at this charming A frame for about 10 days in early September. Weather started in the humid 90s and ended in the rainy 50s. Everything was at our fingertips, great kitchen, comfy sofa, large dining room table and 2 bedrooms and baths with fluffy towels! As we settled in to the VT experience, we enjoyed lovely walks, great restaurants, interesting driving adventures, visits to Hildene, the VT Marble Museum and, of course, the VT Country store, the Manchester Riverwalk, the town shops on Main Street. Lunches and breakfast at the not to be missed, J.J.Hapgoods! If you are a shopper you will enjoy the Outlet Stores - not really our cup of tea!! We checked out Bromley, Stratton, Magic and Okemo and remembered our skiing days in the 60s. So much has changed! But then so have we. Mike was a gracious host, accomodated our last minute request to arrive a day early. The house was spic and span clean, used the fans on the hot days and turned on the heat on the cooler days. Great to have a Washer and Dryer. The TV was bit of a challenge to our 76 yr old brains. but with perseverance and Mikes help we figured it out. Lots of outlets for our phone and computer chargers, A very private oasis with daily walks on the road to be enchanted with spectacular farm vistas - morning or evening, rain or shine. All in all, a wonderful visit - we will come back again! Thanks, Mike!!!
