Truly excellent

Antony could not have been more helpful. Our flight was very delayed and we didn't arrived until midnight. Even so, Antony stayed up to greet us, to give us a map and lots of tips and ideas. The location is excellent and only a short walk through a lovely park into the city centre. The room had every convenience and more, including a Netflix subscription. It was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. The breakfast delivered to our door at 8am was fresh and delicious.

Exceptional

Antony was a wonderful host who met whatever need was required. He gave great tips on where to see in the city and we appreciated the map with directions that he provided. The bed and shower was incredible, and the breakfast every morning was welcome. Coffee and tea always available. Just a magnificent place to stay.

Magnificence personified

We had to utmost pleasure to spend a week at Antony's extraordinary abode; so much so that it is hard to find the exact words to describe it's splendour -- this truly is an incomparable establishment. Firstly, this is a very accessible location, with it only being a taxi or tramway away from the airport, and from there the whole city is available at your doorstep due to its fabulous city-centre location. Everything you could ever desire from Bordeaux (and indeed its environs of Arcachon, St. Émilion etc. should your heart so desire!) is available to you on foot, or via tramway too for areas slightly off the beaten track. Despite this, however, its location is triumphed substantially only by the incredible services available without ever having to step foot out of La Belle Endormie. Antony is perhaps the best host one could ever desire; his kindness, helpfulness, joy and attentiveness was so welcome, and truly made the trip what it was. Each morning, a fabulous array of (fresh!) pastries, bread and butter, yoghurt, cheeses, orange juice and more is brought to your doorstep, a sufficient quantity of which is provided that we very rarely had to have lunch during the day -- saving a few quid for some nice dinner later on! Should, however, as was the case with us on some evenings, you return home and wish for a glass of wine, some houmous or spreads with crackers, some beer or crisps or just a bottle of Coke, all of that is also provided within the minibar and its surroundings at a reasonable rate -- minibars are something we usually avoid as their extortionate prices are unfortunate, but such is not the case at la Belle Endormie whatsoever, and thus we profited from same and enjoyed each and every one of the offerings! (There's not enough room here so continuing in the other section!).

(This is all positive, just didn't have enough room!) When off adventuring throughout the city, Antony continues with his excellence: the room is cleaned, tidied, bed made and anything else you may wish for is completed throughout the afternoon from 12 until 2; nothing was more lovely than returning back in the evening to a cosy and comfy room. Speaking of, the room was exceptionally spacious with a gorgeous tiled shower and bathroom. There are sockets all over the room, including on both sides of the bed, for charging devices. The bed is perhaps the comfiest we ever had, with handwashed linen and a plethora of pillows. Should you get too warm on some evenings, as is often the case in the sweltering Bordeaux sun, the air conditioning is very modern and almost instantly cools the room to our delight. There is not a single bad word to be said of this place. Antony and La Belle Endormie both represent hospitality perfection, and anybody who has the pleasure and fortune to frequent one of its rooms will never be disappointed (or hungry!).

The room was a great size and very clean. The facilities were fantastic including the hot tub. Antony was a great and friendly host, he gave us some great recommendations, was very accommodating with our luggage and the breakfast was delicious.

Fantastic apartmentent next to the public garden in Bordeaux.

La Belle Endormie was such a beautiful little apartment well located next to the Public garden and a short walk from the main center of Bordeaux. We were able to park on the street close to the apartment and Antony helped us to pay for the parking so we could park for the whole day. Breakfast was perfect a selection of fresh bread, cheese, jam and juice delivered to the room each morning with fresh fruits and coffee available in the room itself. Antony was a great host who made us feel very welcome and helped to guide us during our stay. The apartment itself is small but comfortable and so beautifully decorated. we will absolutely stay again when we return to Bordeaux, which we must because there is so much to see and do.

for a short visit in Boston this is a cute place to stay with a beautiful arranged breakfast !

this apartment was a random choice at booking. the location is convenient and in a safe area. overall it was very safe walking in Bordeaux during day and night . what was very pleasant, quality of bed was great pillows good be more comfortable . I’m request the landlord changed them for us . the main reason to choose this apartment is the kindness of the owner couple . the breakfast served in a little basket was just cute and very good . recommendation less sweet for guests they have special diet but this can be said in advance which we forget . the couple is very gentle and helpful .

changing of towels could be more often it was a little bit cold and hot only adjustable by air conditioning . opening windows helped but that’s a type manner . we would recommend to use different plates for warnings in the rooms instead of Do not … overall this a little details could be improved for next visit - the kindness of the owner was superbe !!

Very good quality and value accommodation in a quiet, convenient location for a short city break.

Quiet location with a short walk to tram ( Croix de Seguey ) and then two stops to Quinconces Square for convenient access to the entire city network. Alternatively, many central areas can be reached easily on foot. High standard of room cleanliness, comfort and amenities with emphasis on sustainability. Fresh and tasty breakfast ( bread, pastries, juice, yoghurt / granola and tea / coffee ) provided in a box to your room each morning so great for a relaxing start to the day. Antony is a very friendly, welcoming and helpful host, providing ready advice and information on how best to enjoy the many places of interest in Bordeaux. Recommended.

Minor points - A few pieces of fruit with the breakfast ? Bedside shelves could be slightly bigger ?

Perfect!

Our stay at La Belle Endormie was just what we were looking for, a central place near major attractions, where you can relax after all day walking around beautiful Bordeaux. You can walk to Place des Quinconces (15min) our you can take the tram D just 5 min walking. We were in Bordeaux when temperatures were around 38-41ºC and the air con in the bedroom was our best friend those nights! You have fresh water, tea and coffee in your bedroom and every morning at 8am the breakfast was delivered to our door. Anthony was very nice and welcoming, he gave us good tips of neighbourhoods to visit and a map with all the major attractions of Bordeaux highlighted. In our last day, our flight was at 10pm, so Anthony left us leave our bags at the Guest House and we were able to enjoy our last day in Bordeaux without having to carry our trolley around. Thanks for making our weekend in Bordeaux stress free and enjoyable. Will gladly come back!!

Great stay!

In particular we appreciated the importance that cleanliness & orderliness have to Antony, the host. For example, our bedsheets were completely changed after half of our 10-day-stay was over (without asking). Also on arrival he gave us a map of the city in which he had basically created a city tour for us - with sights he suggested seeing, restaurants & bars worth going and so forth. He is a very sympathetic host.

Exceptional

Antony is an amazing host, he stayed up late to accommodate for our late arrival and went above and beyond explaining in detail what to do in Bordeaux. The rooms are spacious, well equipped and very clean, the breakfast provided is above average and served to the room. The guest house is in an ideal location, close to a tram and within walking distance to all major sights and the city centre. Highly recommend Antony and his guest house

Loved our stay!

Staff was incredibly nice and helpful, made excellent suggestions for places to visit during our brief stay. Every morning they brought us a delicious fresh breakfast, and the spa services on site were great. 100% will return and would recommend to anyone visiting Bordeaux!

Amazingly pleasant stay

Everything was perfect about the property. Hosts were really kind and helpful, the place was close to a park and also tram station. The room was amazing: super comfort beds, every other comfort spot on, delicious breakfast.

Excellent choice for short stays on the edge of Garden District in Bordeaux!

Location was as expected and we could walk to every place we needed to get to, and uber for distances. Window onto the street was perfect for natural light and listening to sounds of this part of the city. The bed was most comfortable. The breakfast was as expected for European fare and quite sufficient - breads, etc. were warm, yogurt was cold, all perfect. Coffee in the room was excellent. Temperature could be maintained easily (once tutored on the hand held remote). The TV remote is foreign to US users and required tutoring as well to use. This place was so very clean, exceptionally clean, and much appreciated. Wish we remembered to bring our own slippers!

The bathroom in our room was exceptionally small (think cruise ship small), with only 1 sink, and a shower stall in which it was difficult to turn around, and the lighting at the sink was less than optimal for shaving/make up application. REMEMBER TO ASK FOR THE ROOM WITH THE LARGE BATHROOM! The toilet flushing routine required tutoring as well. Steep staircase, no lift, in slippers or socks - could foresee falls if not super careful.

Excellent b&b, lovely owners, super breakfast

Fanny and Anthony were the most lovely hosts. They were so welcoming and happy to give us plenty of tips. The b&b is very sweet, nicely decorated, and very comfortable. Breakfast was so good, fresh local bakery pain au chocolat made it! Would stay again.

It is located slightly further from town, so make sure you’re okay with walking. Right by the Jardin public which is lovely and Chartrons area nice for shopping and brunch. For dinner/drinks walk into the centre though.
