We stayed in the waterwheel apartment for 2 weeks with our 10 & 12 yr olds. The property provided plenty of space and had excellent facilities. It was immaculate with some lovely extra touches. It was a short walk into Charlestown which was the prettiest little harbour with a fabulous selection of bars and restaurants (check out the rum bar!). The beaches closeby were great for swimming & rockpooling, whilst the surfers beaches on the north coast were only a short drive away. There was also plenty to do on rainy days, cinema in St Austell, Eden project, Bodmin Jail, Carnglaze Caverns & bike hire on the camel trail were all easily accessible by car.
We loved our stay here & hope to return. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

Short break
The property was very clean, well equipped and minutes from the lovely harbour.
Checking in and out was easy with no fuss.
Plenty of good places to eat and if you prefer to eat in, big supermarkets are within walking distance.
Would highly recommend.

Lovely, roomy apartment, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. All the appliances and furnishings were good quality, and the kitchen was very well equipped. Lots of nice touches including milk, tea, coffee and delicious scones with cream and jam, and as we stayed at the end of December, the living room had been decorated for Christmas.
Sue was a very responsive host, answering messages very quickly, and always helpful and accommodating
Great location for various attractions in Cornwall, and an easy walk down the hill to Charlestown which has some lovely pubs and restaurants with sea/harbour views. A bit more effort required to walk back up the hill again, but worth it.

The Waterwheel Apartment
This apartment was spotlessly clean and very cosy and well situated for visiting local attractions. We stayed in March in awful weather but it was always great returning after a day out as it felt warm and comfortable. The bedrooms are large so no problem sharing. There are two large supermarkets close by so no problems with food shopping. The property owner Sue was very responsive throughout. A thoroughly recommended stay.

Versatile accomodation
Apartment was spotless, well presented, modern, light and airy. Welcome pack was a lovely touch. Bed very comfortable. Showers roomy and easy to use. Good quality appliances in kitchen. Suitable for children. Location true to description - easy access to main attractions of area. Athough harbour is a short walk and well worth a visit it is a steep hill on return. Car park en route is small so get there early. Some good pubs and restaurants on the way though.

Great base for Charlestown
Property was ideally placed to be able to walk into Charlestown within 10 minutes but be away from the bustle of the harbour area. Allocated parking and outside space were a great bonus. Access is easy and, with it being on the ground floor, good for the less able visitor. Plenty of space inside for 4 adults to comfortably live and accommodate visitors too. Two good bathrooms are ideal for two couples. Property is very clean and well presented. The welcome goodies were generous and much appreciated as was the provision of all necessary cleaning and bathroom products. The large fan was welcome at night as the only ventilation in the one bedroom is otherwise through opening the patio doors.

Nice apartment in lovely Charlestown
Good sized and tidy apartment. Very happy with it and our daughters, who live in Bugle, thought it was very nice as well. Sue put up some nice Christmas decorations as well as providing a welcoming package. Everything worked (always a bonus) and we felt comfortable there.

Excellent
Highly recommend a stay at Sue's beautiful apartment at the Waterwheel, Charlestown. We stayed in this lovely apartment for 3 weeks after spending 5 weeks traveling around parts of Europe & Scotland and as my husband said " its a home away from home". Everything you need is supplied and Sue & Mark make you most welcome and if we ever return to that lovely part of Cornwall again we would love to stay again. Judy & Mick from Australia

A Wonderful Week in Charlestown!
We (Family of three from Germany) had a realy wonderful week in Charlestown with fantastic weather and in an very lovely and comfortable appartement. I would absolutly recommend Charlestown as a very beautiful, small city, located directly at the sea, not so heavy crowded and so touristic, but with some nice restaurants and pubs etc. The appartment is even nicer than on the pictures and quite calm. Sue was very friendly and caring - we felt so welcome and homely and we definetly intend to return.

June holiday
The Apartment was very spacious and spotlessly clean, the owner left us scones, jam and clotted cream, together with milk, tea, coffee and hot chocolate, all very welcome. It was just a short walk to the harbour, beach and restaurants, the bus stop very close too. A short drive to Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project
