About this house rental

Number 5 is a beautiful light and airy seaside home. It is a 1 minute walk from the beach and close to Deal Pier. It is situated in the old town which is quiet but close to the main shopping area full of independent shops, fantastic cafes and many restaurants.

Number 5 has a sunny garden and parking for one car to the front; this is a real bonus in the centre of town as parking on the road is hard to find and it is expensive in the car parks. If you are bringing more than one car then there is a residents car park around the back of the property which you are welcome to park in if there is space.

It is suitable for all age groups with the ability to place a cot in the dressing room if needed. Number 5 has a well equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and washing machine.

There are books and board games and a selection of DVD's for you to use during your stay.

If you are bringing children then there is a travel cot with mobile, a baby bath, high chair, stair gate, play mat, changing mat and toys so that you don't have to bring all of these with you.

There are 3 bedrooms, one with a double, one with twin beds and the third is able to accommodate a cot or has the option to use a mattress suitable for a child or small adult, on the floor. If this is required please state this when booking so that it will be set up for your arrival.

There are 2 bathrooms, one is downstairs which has a toilet, sink and shower, and one is upstairs with a bath, toilet and sink.

Deal is a beautiful seaside town with lots to do. It has 2 historic castles, a museum and the only post war pier in the country with an award winning restaurant at the pier head. Deal has wonderful Georgian architecture, a bandstand playing live music, a weekly market and a wonderful beach.

There is amazing cycle rides and walks in the area. You can walk across the cliffs to St Margaret's Bay or cycle to Betteshanger Country Park.

There are many restaurants to choose from and a wide range of cafes and bistros.

Deal has an array of independent shops having won the High Street of the Year award.

There are plenty of places to visit; the medieval city of Canterbury is a 30 minute drive, Broadstairs and Margate are just along the coast, and France is an 1hr 15 min ferry crossing away - so don't forget your passport.

Number 5 has its own parking. It is within 2 minute walk to the town, beach, shops, bars and restaurants. It is not affected by noise as the closest bars shut at 9pm.

It is an 8 minute walk from the train station which has trains to London every hour taking approximately 1hr 30 mins.

This is a lovely little house in a great location. It is decorated with a lovely seaside theme. I was confused about what was in the third bedroom as the listing said it had a futon in it but a previous reviewer had said there wasn't. After querying this with the owner she said a small mattress can be put on the floor of the smallest bedroom if requested and this is what we chose. The conservatory and garden are lovely spaces too. Deal is a great place for a holiday with castles, a pier and promenade. I only gave 4 stars overall because it needs a bit of work-in particular new freezer drawers. The owner said that there was to be work done to it at the end of the season. Overall it was lovely and we would love to visit again.

Ants in kitchen. Lack of cleaning materials. Dishwasher not satisfactory. Defunct lightbulb in kitchen. Had to buy batteries for tv remote. Could not open garden gates. I was not able to go myself but my friends have completed this form. I was shocked to be told that there was no bed in the small bedroom. We hired the house on the understanding that it was three bedrooms which we needed. Although I could not be there on Saturday I was hoping to come later in the week. I feel the house was not as described, which listed double, twin and single rooms, and I think we need a partial refund as the house was not as described.

We stayed for a long weekend in Deal (which in itself was a revelation - super nice). The property is just as described- so near to the shops and restaurants and also the beach but without any noise and parking to boot - which could be horrendous in peak season. The property itself is nicely furnished and we spent a long time looking at all the beach/nautical items. All in all I would thoughtless recommend this as a stay and Deal is well worth a visit. Owner was upper helpful and friendly too.

We had a lovely few days in this house by the sea. Excellent location, easy walking distance to train station, supermarket, beach and town. The house was lovely and clean and had everything we needed. Communication was excellent. Deal is a lovely town to spend a few days in and also explore the surrounding areas.

We highly recommend this lovely property! It had everything we needed, was clean and comfortable and well equipped. The huge selection of games and DVDs was a bonus! Great location on the quiet end of the high street, within very easy walking distance of shops and restaurants. Excellent communication from Clare. We hope to return and stay again.

Located on the High Street, a few minutes walk away from loads of independent shops in the lovely town of Deal. Going in a slightly different direction, a short walk through cute lanes, past smuggling cottages, to the seafront. Deal is a lovely town, and even at this 'dead' time of the year between Christmas and New Year, the place looked bustling and attractive. Clare's house has everything you could possibly need - plenty of games and DVD's when the weather is terrible! - and we appreciated the box of biscuits on arrival. A very enjoyable stay.

Really lovely property in prime location in Deal. Very beautifully decorated with everything you could possibly need! Glorious few days in Deal and surrounding areas! Fish and chip supper a treat from Middle Street Fish and Chip Shop. Splendid walks along seafront, fun visit to Dreamland Margate then popped to picturesque Broadstairs and would recommend Whitstable for a lovely wander and shopping trip too! Thank you for everything Clare!

The property was in a brilliant location for visiting Deal. Not far from the beach, bars and shops. It was clean and had everything we needed. Clare decorated the house for Christmas and made it homely for us. A lovely property and great host. We will definitely visit again.

The house is right at the end of the High Street with a very short walk to the shops and the seaside. Lovely house with everything you need (one tiny little niggle was that there's no tumble dryer which is helpful this time of the year but that won't stop us going back!). Claire was very helpful and left us alone to enjoy our stay. We love deal and this is by far the nicest place we have stayed so far.

The house was comfortable and cosy and very well equipped. Everything was so well thought out. The weather was not good but we still enjoyed our stay! We would happily stay there again.
