About this house rental
Just steps from Main Street in downtown Galena, this beautifully rehabbed 1820s vacation rental home sleeps up to 7 people.
There is 1 reserved parking space for guests.
The kitchen is fully stocked with pots & pans, dishes, toaster, blender, Crockpot and more. There is a standard coffee maker. Coffee/tea and cream are provided. There is a washer and dryer (and detergent) if you need it for your personal use. Don't worry about washing the sheets and towels. That's my job :)
Enjoy the back deck that overlooks Main Street, central air conditioning, high-speed WiFi, board games, disco light, Bluetooth stereo and a streaming-ready/smart TV
There is a king bed in the master bedroom. The second bedroom upstairs is more of a loft setup and has 2 XL twin beds (no door and serves as access to the master bedroom). There is a twin bed (with an additional trundle) in the main floor bedroom and the living room has a sleeper sofa.
Bedding, towels, soap, shampoo/conditioner, hair dryer and an iron are also provided.

Perfect location in downtown Galena a short walk to shopping, restaurants and nightlife. The house was perfect for my family of 5 with a bed for everyone. We cooked Thanksgiving dinner in the well stocked kitchen and had no problem finding whatever utensil or pot/pan that we needed. The house was very clean and stocked with towels, soap, shampoo, etc... We will not hesitate to rent it again.

This was the perfect property for us. Once we arrived and parked the car we didn’t have to drive anywhere. We were able to walk Main Street and we were located just steps from several of our favorite restaurants and wineries. We enjoyed the fact there were enough beds for all of us and 2 bathrooms as well. The house was very well stocked and we enjoyed the extra blankets and pillows for movie night.

Lauren’s home was very clean and nicely furnished. Air conditioning was set just right with fans in each room for more air flow which was helpful in the upstairs bedrooms. The kitchen was stocked well with appliances and utensils. Great location for heading down to the Main street in Galena. Lauren gave tips for parking and bypassing construction. We enjoyed our stay in this home!

This house was very nice for our girls’ weekend in Galena! Parking was easy and readily available and everything on Main Street was within walking distance. The house was well stocked with everything we needed and very clean too! The disco ball made our Saturday night even more fun! Thanks for a great stay!

Great location, very close to main street. Charming old home that has been completely renovated. The owner had thought of everything and is very helpful to work with. The only trade off is some noticible road and train noise that is hard to avoid in the city.

Fantastic location less than a block from restaurants/shops on Main Street. Adorable, clean, charming old house with modern amenities, though we actually didn't spend much time there since it was so close to everything! We were a group of girlfriends looking for a place large enough to accommodate us. Lauren's property was perfect. Her home was beautiful and the location just off Main Street made for easy access to stroll through the shops and dine at the restaurants. Girls Trip Advenfure
We thoroughly enjoyed this house. Check in was easy and were offered a late check out due to the owners schedule, which we had not requested. How nice! The house is so very cute, well equipped, and we felt right at home. We couldn’t have asked for a better location as we were shopping and spending most of our time downtown. We were just a couple blocks from the main shopping h and dining areas. The bedroom layout worked well for us 4 girls, and we could have easily had a few more in our group. The two bathrooms are small but have all the updated amenities you would need. We highly recommmend this home and would reserve again. Oh, did I mention the disco ball!!!

Absolutely perfect!
The house was perfect in every way! As six women in town for a fun girls weekend, the first thing we noticed and continued to comment on is how incredibly clean the house is!
It’s proximity to all the things going on in town allowed us to just park our cars and walk everywhere all weekend.
The house came perfectly stocked with everything you could need. Comfortable beds, nice linens.
I can’t compliment Lauren enough on her great communication! She updated us on things to expect during the busiest weekend of the year and gave great, helpful suggestions.
We are already planning our next visit!

Location, location, location!
We greatly enjoyed our three night stay at this lovely property. The biggest benefit to staying in this house was the terrific location -- just one block off of the main street through Galena. It was so nice and easy to walk to anywhere in town we needed to go. I was slightly apprehensive about the parking situation, but there was plenty of street parking. A nice plus was the the police station was just a few yards down the road. The house was sparkling clean and had everything we needed. I certainly appreciated that Lauren provided coffee and creamer for us, as we drove into town to late to do any grocery shopping beforehand. There was plenty of space on the main floor and the master bedroom was nice and big with ample closet space. Our adult daughter stayed in the downstairs room with the single bed and was very comfortable there, although I would say it would be a very tight fit if the trundle bed were pulled out. Lauren was easy to work with and I highly recommend this property.

This house is in the perfect location! It was very clean and comfortable for the 6 of us. Nicely decorated and the back porch is perfect for taking a break from shopping. Had a slight issue with wi-fi but Lauren was very responsive and was fixed within minutes! Would definitely book again!

Great Place. Perfect Location
The house was very clean and had beds, towels and all the essential kitchen ware for seven of us. The added touches like the Gevalia coffee were nice. The house is just old, but well maintained and nicely appointed. There is a small deck off the back that you can sit on and enjoy the sun and watch people go by.

Great house in a great location!
We were in Galena for our annual family trip to see the living windows. There were 7 of us total and the downtown house was perfect for us! The house was beautiful and spotless and the owner was amazing to work with! Being in walking distance to Main Street was yet another plus. There was ample room to spread out. We enjoyed many hours of family games at the dining room table and when it came time to cook dinner there were plenty of pots, pans and utensils available. If considering this house as a rental I wouldn’t hesitate, I would snag it up before someone beats you to it!

Fantastic house right in downtown Galena
We rented this house for a bachelorette weekend and it was perfect! The renovations they did are beautiful. The house is so charming! And it was the perfect location. We were right in the downtown so we could go back to the house whenever we needed. We never even needed our car all weekend. I highly recommend this house!!

Beautiful home and great location!
We booked a two nights girls trip and wanted something close to downtown Galena. This location was PERFECT! We were able to walk to all the shops and restaurants. The house was beautiful and very well maintained, it was spotless!
Parking was not an issue either. We easily found street parking right by the house and never had to move or even use our cars the entire trip which was our goal.
Lauren was a pleasure to work with and had everything ready for us. She even had a bag of Halloween candy in case any trick or treaters showed up! I would highly recommend this property and would not hesitate staying here again.
