La Grotta Verde Hotel in Corfu offers not only stunning natural beauty but also all the comforts and hospitality you need for an amazing getaway. It's a place where you can truly relax, unwind, and make beautiful memories.
We were staying here on our wedding anniversary and at the reception desk we were surprised that we got a dinner at a la carte restaurant. But that was not everything... When we walked in our room, we saw, that it was changed to that one, that costs 400 euros more - with your own swimming pool, with a leaving room zone, huge bathroom.
The breakfast and dinner buffet has many options: fresh pastries, cereals, and fruits, or you're craving something heartier like eggs, bacon, and sausages, it's all there. Plus, the Greek touch shines through with traditional yogurt, honey, and local fruits for a taste of authentic island cuisine. The dining area itself is inviting, with plenty of seating options, both indoors and outdoors. It's a lovely place to enjoy a leisurely meal while taking in the stunning views.
Pool areas are clean and not crowded, the same next to the sea - whenever he came, there were free sunbeds.
During peak dining hours, the restaurant can get quite busy. This might result in longer wait times to access the buffet or find a table. The same when it's raining outside - the restaurant loses around 40 percent seats.
The area is really hilly, so if you decide to go to the sea and come back, you will have to climb quite a mountain.
Wi-Fi connectivity can be a bit inconsistent in certain areas of the hotel, which can be frustrating for guests who rely on it for work or communication.
While the concept of having your own pool is enticing, our particular room faced the west side, which meant it didn't receive direct sunlight for most of the day. As a result, the pool water remained quite cool, making it less inviting for a relaxing swim or sunbathing.

Excellent resort hotel! I had selected the "all inclusive" option and everything was perfect. All the meals were very rich and delicious. The staff was super friendly and ready to help you all the time. The facilities were great and very comfortable, large rooms with sea view, cool pools and the private beach upfront. I would definitely come back again!
A short hilly path to walk to the beach which may be a little bit uncomfortable but nothing serious to worry about. Still worth it :)

The view is fantastic. The rooms are bright and comfortable, and a good size. Some members of staff are very nice. The dinners in the main buffet restaurant were very good. The pool areas are nice, there are options for white areas and busier areas with music. Lots of bars for evening entertainment.
The bathrooms in the room are very small. Unfortunately there were several occasions where the staff were quite rude - the receptionists on check in were not very welcoming, the staff who cleaned around the pool were rude, and some restaurant staff and cleaners were rude. Also, restaurant staff were often very slow - perhaps they were understaffed, on one day we had to ask for water four times. The breakfasts in the buffet restaurant were fine but did not vary at all and were not as good as some other hotel buffets I have stayed in. The spa area was not very good.

The location and the staff were just amazing! Food was good too.
Drinks for all inclusive people could be improved e.g. use the same type of glasses and cups you serv to people that pay the drink at the moment (bear in mind we have already paid in advance for those ;) )

Nothing
Was expecting a luxury adult hotel but we found ourselves in a v popular resort, v far from any city attraction. Luckily we only spent one night there before flying back.

The view from the room was breathtaking, spacious and clean. We booked half board and the food was plenty and super delicious for both breakfast and dinner …. well done. Special thanks goes to all the staff in all departments for the welcome, friendliness and dedication.
Endure a long walk uphill if you intend to reach the village and hotel by bus. Going to the beach can also be tiring as it is a downhill trek to get there. The bathroom is very outdated & requires refurbishing for this type of hotel.

The breakfast and dinner buffet is above average and very good. The balcony views are amazing and the hotel is clean and looks new.
If you want to go to Corfu town or other beaches the drive is a little annoying. Agios Gordios is at least 30 minutes away from other locations that have nice beaches or Corfu town and the roads are not the best.

Staff were so friendly and really attentive. Everyone spoke English. The view was excellent and the hotel had great facilities. Easy access to the beach with sun beds and umbrellas.
The hotel were kind enough to let us use the gym shower after we checked out as we had a late flight, but it was flooded with very poor ventilation.

Beautiful view, beach and location.
This is not a 5 star hotel. It is a package production line with a canteen that serves cheap red no-name wine, has silly rules and provides zero luxury. Will never go back and feel cheated by the price they charged.

Beautiful location, hotel has potential to be one of the best! A lot of the staff driving the buggies, in reception, and info desk were really lovely and made us feel very welcomed.
Hotel needs a lot of maintenance. Sewage smells on some floors, mould in corners of walls, creaking wooden plank floors, spa room broken air condition and unpleasant smell during treatment.
The food was not very impressive, and considering there isn’t much around to easily go to, we thought the a la carte restaurants should have been open more frequently for more options for guests who ae not on a full board.
Getting down to the beach was a long walk during the hot days. Perhaps considering having more buggies available.
We found check out very difficult and tiring. Considering flight times to the island are not during easy hours, the hotel should be more accomodating and not have guests wait around for hours in the lobby until catching their flight. The cleaning lady was also especially rude to us, she came into our room 5 minutes before our time to check out and very rudely told us we had to leave.

Amazing location
Paid for a sea view but this was mainly looking at a wall of the building in front of us with a bit of a sea view to the left. Would have liked to have known this at time of booking

Helpful staff, well managed bars and restaurants, beautiful view from the rooms, crystal clear seawater, high quality animation and night programs
Not well maintained beach, lot of smelly seaweeds, lot of stairs and walk until you reach the beach.

Suggestions: shelter on the parking, bugs-nets on the windows and organized walking paths through the hotel area

This was the second time we choose this hotel and probably not the last time :) The room and the food were better than the year before, so the experience exceeded our expectations. We loved the sandy beach and the comfortable sunbeds. The views and sunsets are the best.
We were surprised to have more cloudy days than sunny ones in the middle of the June, so this was reflected also to the water's temperature which was colder than in September, last year.

amazing view
rich buffet
check in process can be improved (we needed to make twice the line as we did not receive in advance the link for the self check in; we perceived confusion and stress in the staff) as well as some details should be updated consistently with an hotel of this category (eg. still old blankets in the bedrooms)

Apart of the beautiful view from the window and the wonderful surroundings, the staff was the best!!! Wonderful people who take care of you as best they can and at the same time are very cordial and simply wonderful!

The location was amazing. Having access to the pools and the beach all on the same property was very convenient. We also enjoyed having a bar at the beach and both pools. You could very easily walk from the property into town for shopping or dinner. Again, great location.
There were very little towels available for use. You needed a towel for the gym, but had to remember to bring one from your room. There were no towels already available at the gym. It was the same situation for the spa. You had to bring towels and robes from your room if you wanted to use them in the spa. The spa had a lot of potential, with an indoor pool and sauna, but no towels available. My massage was also a little lack luster for the cost.
