About this house rental

A beautiful property with exceptional views of the harbour from its elevated position. The living area is also upstairs to take advantage of this. Fowey with its individual shops and little cafes is just a short stroll away.

Excellent rental. Lovely view over harbour from bright high ceiling room. Plenty of everything you need to self cater but good restaurants and pubs close by.

Great location with a few niggles

Property itself is lovely and in a perfect location for the shops and restaurants of Fowey. It also has a beautiful private terrace overlooking the harbour and gorgeous views from the lounge. However it is really only suitable for 2 adults sharing (ie one couple) and two small children. Not suitable for 2 adults each wanting a room. The second bedroom only has two tiny singles - on the listing it was described as being able to be turned into a double but it doesn’t. My friend fell out of bed the first night as the beds are so narrow, so we pushed beds together ourselves but this wasn’t particularly comfortable. The main bedroom is comfortable with its own sink which was helpful. The property was clean but not spotless and certainly not what I would describe as “Covid clean”. Which negated the need for us only being able to access the property after 7pm and having to be out by 9am. There was toothpaste smeared on the wall on the left of the bathroom sink, there are cobwebs in the corners and the kitchen bin was filthy and stank (bin needs a proper deep clean). There was very little in the way of cleaning products available, no kitchen roll, one tea towel etc and only two rolls of toilet paper for 4 nights. I contacted you on Sunday morning to ask for more loo roll and didn’t receive a reply. Could have also done with larger bags for the used linen and towels as they didn’t all fit in the bags that were left for us. All in all - a great location for a family with small children but some additional care needed on the cleaning.

Family friendly open plan living with reverse house layout meant that we could enjoy super views whatever the weather or time of day.

Lovely stay in beautiful Fowey

We spent the October half-term week in The Studio; lovely accommodation in a quintessential Cornish village. The views across the bay were great, and there were bars, shops & restaurants within walking distance. Joining instructions were simple, and the cottage was clean & well presented. The only gripe would be the lack of signal for anything resembling a picture on the TV - the good (& somewhat fortunate!) weather ensured this wasn’t an issue. A highly recommended place to stay.
