Villa Carinzia is a splendid two-story villa which faces the sun and the sea. It sleeps ten people. From Villa Carinzia you will enjoy a thrilling view of the sea, of Positano and of the Amalfi Coast. Villa Carinzia is 200 square meters (2150 square feet). It features panoramic private terraces with a view of the sea, a private garden, air conditioning (please read description below to check in which rooms the units are installed), winter heating and WI-FI Internet access.
You will be in the heart of Positano, where you will find restaurants and shops. You will find the stop for the Flavio Gioia bus interno Positano line at 120 meters (390 feet) and the closest beach (Fornillo Beach) at 450 meters (approximately 490 yards) including 270 stairway steps. You will reach Villa Carinzia from the street level along a 150-meters (490-feet) public walkway that cuts through a courtyard and includes approximately 25 stairway steps.
You will not need a car to stay at Villa Carinzia. If you do have one, you will be able to park it downtown, along the public roads (the actual distance might vary depending on the availability of parking spaces) or in a private parking lot downtown (where a space can be reserved).

The garden is 150 square meters (1615 square feet) large. It is partly shaded by perfumed citrus trees. It is equipped with tables, chairs and deck chairs. From the garden you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the sea, of Positano and of the Amalfi Coast. The garden, which is for your exclusive use, is frequently crossed by the owners in order to reach their accommodations.

The views from the terrace were just incredible. We all said that our favorite part of every day in Positano was waking up and having our morning coffee on the terrace. We had complete unobstructed views of all of Positano. The rooms were all extremely spacious with true queen or king beds (not two fulls pushed together) and the 4 upstairs bedrooms all had their own en suite bathroom and private terrace. The bedroom off the living room was extremely spacious and the bathroom was just across the hall.
I could not recommend the local staff enough. Chiara was our contact person and she had porters waiting for us when we got there and arranged any type of taxi or reservation that we needed. She was available 24/7. The housekeeper, Teresa, came and cleaned the house every day and brought fresh towels which was great. I also reached out early about having some wine and snacks ready we got there and they had everything waiting for us.
I would stay here again and again. It was also a super quick and easy walk to Fornillo Beach which was so much nicer and much less crowded than the Spiaggia Grande.

I cannot say enough about our wonderful stay at the Villa Carinzia. We had to wait 2 years for the trip to happen because of the pandemic. It was definitely worth the wait!
The villa itself is beautiful, but the terrace was incredible. We would spend every evening on the terrace in awe of the spectacular view. We never tired of it!
The housekeeping staff did a great job everyday, and the manager was available to answer any questions we had about restaurants, transportation, etc.
Summer In Italy made our booking so easy. They answered all of our questions through email promptly. We had booked 2 years ago and they honored our booking with a voucher to be used when we could travel again. Luca was very professional and was a pleasure to work with. We enjoyed Villa Carinzia with our grown children and their spouses, a lovely quiet villa overlooking the sea. We really enjoyed the outdoor tented terrace. The outdoor spaces are spectacular and very private. The four younger couples each had a bedroom upstairs with their own bath and balcony. We took the first floor bedroom that did not have a private bath, so we used the bathroom off the kitchen. The villa was a good value for the price we paid.
Rosa the maid was there daily and was such a pleasure! Very friendly and helpful.

This was a beautiful villa. There were 9 adults on this week long holiday. No where else will you find views like this from each bedroom. The birds chirping in the morning and the soft church bells in the distance were a beautiful way to start out the mornings. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare all meals. We had trouble with the large vent over the cook top working and within the day the property manager had it fixed. We cooked every night in the villa except one night. You will not be spending time inside but if you do it is very comfortable. There are 4 bedrooms up stairs. One of the bedroom has an en-suite bathroom. The other 3 bathrooms are directly across the hall from each bedroom. So not exactly en-suite but a none issue with our group. The downstairs bedroom uses a bathroom just off the kitchen. The beds were comfortable and the linens crisp and fresh. The outdoor space: we ate every meal at the large outdoor table on the terrace. This could be amazing with several more seating spaces arranged (there are 4 collapsible canvas lounge chairs).
Rosa, the housekeeper was very sweet and was in and out in a flash.
Summer In Italy was by far the most amazing company I have ever used! They were attentive to every thing I needed and asked. Their response was always within 24 hours and most times within minutes. They go above and beyond the normal expectations. An example is, at the last minute one couple missed a flight and the driver needed to be notified. This was at 8:00 pm at night and we were out to dinner with friends. I didn't have my information on me but sent a quick note to Luca and they in turn notified the driver of the last minute change. Amazing! I will continue to use this company for any future travel and recommend them to all of my friends.

We had such a nice time at Villa Carinzia! The house is so spacious and has amazing views! We spent most of our time out on the patio taking it all in. It's also convenient to the Via Fornillo bus stop which is great if you don't plan on bringing a car. And not too many steps to carry your luggage down! Really couldn't recommend it more.

We had a fantastic stay at Villa Carinzia. As a family of five, there was more than enough room for all of us. Each bedroom is beautifully appointed and has spectacular views!
Our location was fantastic. We were in an area where we could walk to wonderful restaurants and stores. It is also conveniently located right above the smaller beach, where we spent several days enjoying our time in the sun and sand.
Anna [the owner] couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. She had great restaurant suggestions and made reservations or arranged transportation as we needed.
We were so sad to leave!! Can’t wait to go back to Positano and we would definitely use Villa Carinzia as our accommodations again!!

We thoroughly enjoyed Villa Carinzia. The views were incredible, everything was nice and clean, and there was so much space. The bedrooms with en suite baths were perfect for our group. Having a house keeper was a really nice addition as well.
The location was great as you could walk to all the shops and restaurants. The only downside I guess is all the steps to Fornillo beach but it is Positano after all.
We would definitely recommend this place and will come back again.

Beautiful property in Positano
The property is as beautiful as these photos make it seem. Summer in Italy were great property managers and made our stay incredibly easy. They recommend restaurants, boats cruises, etc and helped in the booking process of everything. I would highly recommend staying at this gorgeous villa.
There are 5 very large bedrooms with the 4 upstairs all having en suite baths and AC. The house is about a 15 minute walk from the main beach in Positano or a 7 minute walk from Fornillo Beach (375 steps up but hey, it's Positano). It is also a short walk to all of the great restaurants and shops on Viale Pasitea.

It was an amazing week at the villa, everyone simply loved it. We all totally enjoyed sitting on the terrace in the evenings, and we really enjoyed getting our massages under the trees in the beautiful garden.
I would highly recommend Villa Carinzia for any large group. There were 8 ladies on this trip and we all felt we had more than enough room for a comfortable stay. One more item I want to personally comment on is the extreme comfort of the beds. I cannot recommend this villa enough.
Our housekeeper was amazing, and she did a wonderful job. We all enjoyed her so much.

We absolutely loved Villa Carinzia!
There were 8 of us that stayed in Villa Carinzia the first week in June, 2018. The crowds were a little crazy and it was warm but it was a fabulous week! The villa itself, although with somewhat outdated furnishings, is comfortable and has everything you need. We were told we wouldn't need the A/C but we did use it. We're from Texas - we use A/C! Each couple had their own bedroom & bath & the bedrooms look out to the terrace & the beautiful water below. We didn't do any cooking in, but the kitchen is huge & has everything you need. The villa is in the perfect location. There are many shops nearby & on several days we bought cheeses & meats to snack on with our wine. You won't want to be anywhere except on the terrace! The views are stunning. Of course, you can walk everywhere but be sure you're FIT and up to many, many steps. Everything is either uphill or downhill! The villa is just above Fornillo Beach and steps away from the bus stop to take you into town. We spent a couple of days on Fornillo Beach near Pupetto's beach bar. So much fun with Prosecco on the beach! The stairs leading down are long, but even longer coming up! But, that's Positano. Fornillo is the best beach by far - smaller and more comfortable. You can't go wrong with most restaurants. Our highlights were Il Ritrovo & LaTagliata - both excellent. For LaTagliata, DON'T eat before you go! We didn't know about the menu - it's a set menu of 4-5 courses & so delicious! We filled up on the 1st course not understanding what was coming. The meat course was delicious steak! We took the ferry to Amalfi one day, an all day boat trip to Capri with BlueStar & we did a FABULOUS cooking class with Marina in Cucina (highly recommend!).
HINT: hire porters! Just carrying my suitcase down the steps to the villa was very taxing. We made sure we hired them when we left! Do your research, make your reservations and enjoy a fabulous time in Positano!

The VIEWS!!!!
We had 4 couples at the Villa and we all loved it. Starting with a terrace that could accomadate 50 people....then the very, very large kitchen and finally 5 very nice bedrooms. The only negatives were poor WiFi and the lower bathroom had an odor. The walk into town can be down in 15-17 minutes - however with the shops it could thankfully take much longer. The walk down to the beach was about 10 minutes with 370 steps. Wonderful beach - Italian rocky not Bermuda sand. We would absolutely stay here again.

We had the most magnificent time
We had the most magnificent time... could have spent the whole week on the terrace but forced ourselves to walk, walk and walk to discover all the joys of Positano!
Enzo and Rosa [the caretakers] were so attentive and dealt with all our queries with humour and integrity. Being in the middle of other homes down quaint cobbled streets was enchanting and we would highly recommend this spot to anyone.
Summerinitaly is a great company to deal with, always willing to go the extra mile and leaving no stone unturned in an effort to sort out any problems. Thank you... we will be back!

Mr Enzo was so lovely and helpful. He gave us lots of useful tips and advice in terms restaurants and how to get about. We were really grateful that he was so accommodating.
