GRANADA
Granada is best explored on foot and has its Moorish past evident at every turn.
Any visitor will be impressed with the breath taking snow capped Sierra Nevada, the magnificent Alhambra, the old Moorish quarter of Albaicin with its maze of narrow steep streets and elegant villas and the famous Sacromonte Abbey, high up on the hill, its gypsy caves and flamenco sounds.
The centre is full of historical buildings of great interest and beauty and a visit to this hospitable city should be on your itinerary.
From Malaga take the N331 following signs to Granada and exit on to A92.ALHAMBRA
The best view of the Alhambra fortress is from the San Nicholas Mirador in Albaicin from where you can appreciate its beauty and reddish hue. It is one of the legacies remaining from the Moorish occupation with its Alcazaba dating from the llthc and the Royal Palace added later in the 14thc.
Of great importance and interest is the Renaissance Palace of Carlos V and fabulous gardens of the Generalife, originally the summer gardens of the sultans with a series of lakes, fountains, pavilions and abundant trees.
CORDOBA
Located 110 miles inland, Cordoba was once the capital of Moorish Spain and the main centre for Muslim culture and learning.
The fascinating old city stretches north from the River Guadalquivir and is a maze of picturesque narrow cobbled streets with monuments, historical buildings and pretty patios at almost every turn.
The city Mezquita dates from 785 from where streets fan out to the Jewish, Muslim and Christian quarters that contain much to interest the visitor and include the Alcazar, the Juderia, Roman Bridge and Plaza del Potro, mentioned by Cervantes in Don Quixote.
ANTEQUERA
Located in the centre of a rich and fertile plain, 28 miles inland, Antequera dates back to prehistoric times and its subsequent history is marked by a profusion of remains including dolmens, located in a park to the west of town, Roman baths, a Moorish castle, Gothic churches and Renaissance fountains.
For those with a sweet tooth, buy delicious pastries from the nuns at the Convento de las Descalzas, from just inside its entrance.
The town is attractive, hilly and interesting and the surrounding countryside including La Peña de los Enamorados, and El Torcal are also worth visiting.
EL CHORRO
El Chorro Gorge is one of Andalucia's natural wonders found north west of Alora where three lakes are dammed across a 200m high river gorge.
Built in 1921 and opened by King Alfonso XIII there was originally a walkway called the Camino del Rey, a catwalk clinging to the sides of the gorge, but this is now closed for repairs.
Drive across the dam to reach the lakes where there are several good restaurants and plenty of space for sunbathing, picnics and swimming.
RONDA
Ronda is one of Andalucia's most visited inland towns, a one hour drive from the coast.
It is steeped in history and legend, a town of bullfighters and bandits with the River Guadalevin dividing it in two as it passes narrowly through the town creating the famous deep gorge.
The Tajo Bridge separates the lively and extensive new Ronda from the more historical and picturesque old town, with its churches, palaces, arab baths, city walls and gateways.
Ronda is home to the oldest bullring in Spain with a museum alongside, both can be visited.
From the N340 take the A376 inland at San Pedro de Alcantara.

We have just returned from a truly wonderful holiday at Casa De Molly. It is a fabulous villa with every amenity we needed to provide a very comfortable stay. My grandchildren LOVED the swimming pool and games room! The villa is situated in a very peaceful location and a well stocked supermarket was only a 5 minute walk away. It was also only a 10 minute walk to a lovely beach area where my grandchildren had a delightful time exploring the rock pools at low tide. There were some very pleasant and peaceful Beach Bar Restaurants over looking that area of beach too. We did not feel the need to hire a car and just used Uber or Bolt taxis for our excursions into Marbella. We made some very precious family holiday memories thanks to Casa de Molly and would love to visit again next year!

This is a lovely spacious, very well maintained villa. The garden, pool and barbecue area are fabulous for a large group. There is plenty of sitting space and lounging space inside and out. The kitchen is very hi-spec and the sitting room is huge and furnished to a very high standard. Two of the upstairs bedrooms have a lovely large shared balcony with extra sunbeds. I Would highly recommend this villa for a group of friends or a family.

As a family of 6 adults, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this villa. The location was great, walking distance to some lovely restaurants on the beach and also the boardwalk which stretches for 10km to Mijas Costa. The pool area is lovely with plenty of sunbeds and seating for all. The kitchen is well fitted out with everything that you could need. Check in and out was very easy and communication excellent.

Casa de Molly is beautiful spot. We came in Feb half term, which turned out to be an amazing time to come because we benefited from both lovely spring-like weather (it felt a lot hotter than 20 degrees sitting in the sun by the pool!) and very calm, peaceful surroundings, being outside of peak season. It's within a short walk of a handful of really nice restaurants (our favourite was Simbad), the beach, and a fairly well-stocked supermarket, and an easy bus or taxi ride into Marbella, which is a great place to visit on a day that isn't perfect for sitting by the pool. Tony is a great, attentive host, and the house is really well equipped in terms of entertainment and cooking facilities. We would definitely come back!

We were 2 families of 4 including 4 children under the age of 7 and our stay was fantastic in every way. The Villa met all our needs and expectations including the heated pool which we all enjoyed. The newly fitted bathroom was a great addition and the modern kitchen appliances made it feel like a real home from home.
Tony was the perfect host from day one and promptly answered any questions we had. He went over and above to ensure our holiday was memorable including putting up a Christmas tree and making the Villa feel festive.
We will 100% be rebooking again.

From the moment we walked through the door we all immediately felt at home. The villa is decorated beautifully and is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. The outside area is where it really shines … different areas to sit and relax, with good quality furniture, an amazing pool and beautiful garden, so quiet and pretty. You’re not overlooked by any other property so we felt like we were in our own little paradise. A dedicated bar and bbq area which was great for late night meals with the family. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this villa. We’ll definitely be back.

A generously stocked and beautifully decorated villa. Smart and stylish throughout. Plenty of comfortable seating both inside and out plus a pool which was lovely and warm. Cushions and sunshades galore in a very pretty garden. The 15 minute walk back from the beach is very much uphill but not too much. A real treat to have no hidden extra costs. We had a relaxing and enjoyable holiday and can thoroughly recommend this villa.

We had a fantastic stay at Casa de Molly, it was a real home from home. It was fully equipped with everything we could possibly need, and everything was of a very high standard. The garden had lots of different places to sit , eat or sunbathe and the pool was wonderful. Communication with the owner was excellent.

What you see is what you get. Everything was as in the pictures - and a little bit more. 3 bedrooms on first floor and 1 bedroom in the basement. Very Nice and clean House. From first floor you have a beautiful view over the see. And even sunbeds on the balcony. We had the pool heatet and it was perfect. But take Care: the pool is very deep. The bar and the BBC area is amazing. The kitchen have everything you nede for a Living - and a little more. Sunbeds for 8 people in a private and quietly garden. You can walk to the Beach in about 15min. You can walk to the supermarket in about 10min. So what is not to like!!

We were unable to visit due to freak bad weather hitting the Spanish coast which made our trip unsuitable for our young children but Tony communicated promptly and efficiently throught and endeavoured to return as much deposit as he reasonably could, such as cleaning costs and a % that he'd typically offset against wear and tear which was very kind.

We stayed here for our big family holiday at the beginning of June and it was our first holiday post covid pandemic and the first for our children (aged 20 months and 2). The villa ticked all our boxes, the garden was beautiful to relax in, we had so much fun playing in the pool and although we didn’t spend too much time indoors that ticked all the boxes too. We particularly liked the ice machine on the fridge for those really hot days (and our gins in the evening). There is a small supermarket 5 minutes walk away and we got an Uber to Lidls for a big shop. We also got an Uber in to Puerto Banus which was fairly cheap and easy to arrange. Tony was very helpful before we arrived and happy to answer any questions we had. The villa is in a lovely quiet area too and very private so we felt safe and relaxed there. We would definitely book to stay again should we wish to return to Marbella.

The villa is superb and the pool and outside bbq area was perfect for our group of eight adults! Everything we needed and could not fault the location, quiet neighbourhood and yet walking distance of supermarket, beach and several restaurants. Tony was very helpful with a couple of minor issues and I will highly recommend the property to my friends!

We have just returned home from a two week stay at Casa De Molly!
The villa is as beautiful in real life as on the pictures! It has a really tasteful but home from home feel with the highest quality fixtures and fittings
We have stayed in this area many times before, but this is the most amazing villa by far and the location is so peaceful yet so close to the beaches, bars and restaurants
Our children are 8 and 13 and were never out of the pool and the games room is such a bonus they loved it
Tony was so informative from the minute we booked to ensuring everything was perfect throughout our stay
We cannot recommend this villa and owners enough, we will 100% be booking again
Thank you so much we’ve had the best holiday

Great communication from Tony before, during and after our stay at his lovely villa. House is fully equipped with everything you could need and kitchen stocked with far more than just the basics. Perfect location with 7 minute walk to the local supermarket and an easy stroll to the beach, bus stop and a variety of restaurants. We only dined out once in our 5 days at Simbads which was very nice. Spent most of our time relaxing around the pool and terrace area which gets the sun from early morning into the evening. 25 minute bus ride into Marbella which is worth a wander around the lovely old town. We had also booked in advance for Caminito del Rey which is about 75 minute drive away. A great family holiday and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Villa Molly!

I have just returned home after 8 days at Villa Limonar (Casa Molly). The villa is marketed as a 'home from home' and that's exactly what it is. From the exacting instructions beforehand to turning the key in the lock and walking inside...the experience was nothing short of perfection. Gorgeous villa, fabulous pool and gardens, an outside bar, all en-suite rooms tastefully decorated, walk to the beach and supermarket, great restaurants nearby, games room..the villa has everything and then some! Ray the Superman handyman, incredibly helpful...PLUS he got my house and car keys that I left behind, to friends in Calahonda 30 mins before they were due to leave! Myself and my friends are all booking again. Thank you Tony and Pauline for allowing us the privilege of staying in your Marbesa home. A******

We were a party of 8 adults (4 couples ) . Each of the 4 ensuite bedrooms was big enough and well equipped for each couple . The downstairs living area was also roomy so we were not falling over one another There was also the new conservatory to relax in . The kitchen was well equipped with a well stocked larder .
The outside area was just fantastic . Tony and Pauline obviously put a lot of time, planning and effort when they revamped the outside of the villa. Again plenty of space for us all to relax in . There were sunbeds and chairs for all of us . A good sized swimming pool too.
We can not recomend this villa highly enough. .

Theirs an old saying,if it aint broken don't try to fix it.as a group of six adults and two small children we stayed here last year and loved it so much we thought why not come back.i wont go on and on about the location or the wonderful service and help we again recieved from the owners as I already have my opinion on this forum from last year.when I booked it tony the owner told me they were doing some improvements to the villa telling me I would see plenty changes.our first thought was how can you improve on what we have recently experienced, well the first thing I noticed that it had been re-painted from the mustard colour to a very pleasant light bluey gray but the biggest and best was the pool area which had been totally transformed with new artificial grass that looks great and feels soft underfoot then finnished off with new tiles around the pool and lovely quality new garden furniture and you have that real classy feel, tony /Pauline its fabulous it realy is.Last year there was an outside porch where you could sit and stare at the stars but is now a lovely conservatory where you can sit in on the cooler nights, my wife with a GnT, and couple of whiskeys for myself,or even a cocoa if that's your fancy. If anyone ever says to you that old saying don't believe them, take my word for it you can fix it and as a result of that we are coming back next year for a third time.

We stayed a week in early May in this Villa. The owners are very thorough in providing information, keys and keeping the villa and its garden + pool in immaculate shape. It was a pleasure to spend our family holiday here. We were especially glad the pool was heated so the kids could spend all day in there. Good size pool, deep end. Comfortable sun loungers, beds, showers, bedrooms, living room and complete kitchen. Lovely bar outside with great grill right next to outside sitting area where we spent most of our time. Only minor discomfort was the adjoining house, where we could hear a lively party going on at the first day. In walking distance of beach and store (although a car is recommended). Recommended!

We were extremely lucky to stay in this beautiful Villa last month, the best we have ever stayed in. We can honestly say that having read all of the wonderful reviews this villa has, everything still exceeded our expectations. The owners Tony & Pauline went out of their way to make sure we had all the information needed, in fact we felt we knew the area and the villa, before we even arrived. This villa is immaculate throughout which would be given 5 stars if it were a hotel. Waking up each morning to stunning sea views is a memory we will cherish. Villa Limonar is situated in a lovely peaceful, upmarket area with a short walk to the beach and many choices of bars & restaurants. Marbesa seems to be a well-kept secret and definitely the place to go! All the rooms have been very tastefully decorated and furnished. The beds were extremely comfortable and all the linens and bedding were top quality. Air Conditioning, Satellite HD TV, Sky Sports, High Speed Internet and cleaning, were all included in the price. The games room downstairs provided great fun once we got ourselves away from sunshine. The secluded garden is very well maintained and the good sized pool is fantastic, deep enough for safe diving. It’s true what the advert says about the Saline Pool, it is far better than chlorine, I forgot my swimming goggles, but then realised I didn’t need them, my eyes did not sting, nor did you have that smell of chlorine. We then enjoyed the outdoor bar, drinks on the terraces and a nice comfortable chill out on the different terraces. We would highly recommend this spacious villa which ticked all our boxes, especially when looking for sea side location, quality, comfort, and seclusion. You will do extremely well to find better!
