We had a very nice stay for 5 nights, and it was perfect for a family of 5. The kitchen was fully stocked, and the house was very spacious. The house has a lot of character and history to it, and we felt so welcomed. The neighborhood is quiet and perfect for families. The drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor took about 30-40 minutes, and about 30 minutes to Schoodic Peninsula. George was very responsive to a few inquiries, and we would stay here again.

Great home base for visit to Acadia. Loved the quiet neighborhood and neighboring shoreline to walk to.

What a great spot! Four adults, two children, and two dogs and plenty of room! Great walks and beaches, incredibly friendly neighorhood, and a great lived in space that is comfortable, cozy and has all the amenities! George was responsive and checked in to make sure we had what we needed. We will be back!

Short walk on trail to road & coast with sea glass , shells & even saw a whale in the bay while watching a sunset . Hope to return in the future, need more then a week explore & play !

Hancock point is a beautiful location and overall we had a nice vacation; however, a problem with the hot water and the host's inability to address to our satisfaction resulted in our leaving the property two days early. We were misled prior to our trip into thinking there was no problem, despite the prior guest's complaint, and that even if there was a problem it was being addressed. It turns out there was a problem and five days into our stay it had not been addressed. When notifying the host we couldn't stay any longer, they still denied there was an issue, but stated if there were an issue, hot water is considered a minor issue by VRBO, so it's a non-issue. We will definitely return to the Acadia National Park area, just not at a property managed by this host, or any by VRBO.

I was told a house with an ocean view except the trees have overgrown so much you can barely see a sunset so those posted pics are not accurate
Upon entry it was so over run with chemicals from the person cleaning trying to cover up the mustyness of the property that i was having an asthma attack.
We opened the windows and left them open to air out the house while we went to dinner and little did we know there were so many Structural issues with the screens that we came home to a kitchenfull of little bugs swarming the lights and bedrooms full of them as well. That was awful !!!
The piano and the deck with patio furniture turned out to be a piano with the most relevant keys not functioning while the deck was not only dangerous with an unstable railing but no patio furniture and the deck was covered in sea mold.
The TV with “full cpable “ had three remotes no instructions and when the host was contacted he knew zero about the T.V. TV and grilling out we resorted to puzzles only to be disappointed when we found out there were missing pieces and I guess fully stocked with condiments didnt mean ketchup, mayo or yellow mustard The last straw was -
The whole Point of our trip was a wedding on June 2nd and of which my daughters were flower girls
But 4 adults and 3 children woke up to no hot water and no call back from the maintenance person who was listed so i was real happy that both my girls couldnt shower or do their hair- did i mention it was 80 degrees outside !!!

We had a great week on Hancock Point. The house is clean and comfortable. The kitchen is very well stocked with anything you might need. The drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor did take about 40 min but it is a very pretty drive. Would stay here again.

We have stayed in multiple places over the years and no other has been as well stocked with food basics and equipment
We will be back!

The home was comfortable for our family. The view to the ocean was impeded by trees and not as the picture in the listing but the location was still very good. We truly enjoyed our visit.

Another wonderful visit to Hancock Point. Comfortable, well appointed home in a central location.

We had a marvelous time at this VRBO! We had everything we needed and more. Condiments galore, first aid kit, games and more. Beach was within walking distance and we went numerous times everyday. My daughter went home with lots of sea glass. Our dogs initially were afraid of the beach but after a week they were in up to their neck loving the waves. Thanks for allowing dogs. This was our first vacation with them. It was perfect. Hancock Point is a wonderful location and away from the bustle of Bar Harbor. Mainly Meat restaurant and The Ice cream shop next door were a wonderful find. They even allowed the dogs in and gave them each a bowl of water at a dog friendly table. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

This was a nice quiet place to stay during our trip. It provided us good access to both parts of Acadia and some hidden gems we hadn’t previously know about, like Tidal Falls Preserve. The house was very spacious, clean, and well-appointed. We had a lovely stay!

We absolutely LOVED it!
The location is perfect, the house exceeded our expectations, and it was 100% perfect!!

We absolutely loved our time at this amazing home! They have everything you could possibly need and we were extremely comfortable. I loved the views and the all of the windows that made for such a bright and cheerful environment, even when it was a bit dreary outside! We are a family of 6 and had plenty of space! The house location was perfect for exploring Acadia, Bar Harbor and we even drove up to Lubec! This was our first time visiting Maine and I can’t wait to return!

We had a wonderful week staying in this lovely home. The proximity to Ellsworth and Bar Harbor was perfect. We were three couples and two dogs and we had plenty of space and took some lovely walks. We especially liked the layout with each couple having a bedroom and bathroom to themselves. And our dogs loved being able to go out on the large deck and watch the red squirrel come and go.
The kitchen had everything we need to make some fabulous meals and we spent a lot of time in the breakfast nook drinking coffee, wine and talking.

My family and I planned a trip for 5 months that we had to cancel last minute due to the wildfires! The Hancock property was the perfect place with enough space for all of us! We each got a room and bathroom! It was accessible for my Aunt with a slight disability and it was perfect for my service dog. Thank you so much for accommodating us last minute! What a gorgeous house and property!

Several issues with our stay.
Property Manager never pick-up/returned calls.
Dead bugs in many light fixtures, no outside furniture available, tv did not work. No shades on bedroom windows which made sleeping in the morning challenging. No coffee provided. Asked to strip beds and run a load of wash before leaving.

House was comfortable and perfect for our trip. Close to everything we wanted to do but nice and quiet at night after a day of sightseeing. Would definitely stay here again!

The property was nice and large and provided privacy for two couples. Kitchen was very easy to use. Was a little farther from the water than we thought it was.

Loved the large deck with ocean views and the well-equipped kitchen. Hancock Point was a wonderful new discovery for us, away from the MDI crowds.

The house was great! Lots of space and beautiful yard. Amazing views and very relaxing.

Gorgeous Maine Coastal Location
This house was perfect for me and my kids. There is a lovely view of the ocean and a short walk down to the beach. Very convenient to Acadia and Bar Harbor. The bedding and towels are very run down as was a lot of the kitchen accommodations, but this was actually perfect because we weren't stressed about the kids ruining things. The host was very responsive to the few issues we had and accommodating of requests made. Would definitely recommend!

We had a great stay. Very convenient to Bar Harbor and surrounding area. Would have gave straight 5 stars, but the house is a little outdated, but for the most part well maintained.

After a small check-in hiccup, we had an amazing stay! The home is beautiful and homey, the location is wonderful, and we can't recommend it enough. Close enough to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor that we drove there every day. Also found the local treasure, Gull Rock Pottery, close by, and the kids and my mom enjoyed finding all sorts of amazing shells, granite, and seaglass as we walked the beach close to the house. Thank you for a wonderful vacation, Mr. Mumford!

Peaceful retreat with great location
We are a family of four with two older teens. We loved this rental. The house itself was well designed with tons of windows. There were 3 good sized bedrooms so we all had our own space and also great family space. The breakfast nook with its great views was perfect for playing games. The property itself is situated on a point with the ocean in easy walking distance. Lots of seaglass on the beach. The property was about a 45 minute drive from Acadia, but the trip was scenic. Would definitely love to stay again!

The home was beautiful and within walking distance to the Bay. There are several supermarkets including a Walmart nearby. Even though most places were closed for the season, we were able to find most shops open in the Bar Harbor area. The home is located on Hancock Point (beautiful scenery). We cannot wait to go back.
