This is a nice comfortable house, three bedrooms upstairs, comfortable living room for congregating, nice kitchen with full size appliances. We could not tell that we were on the village main street, it was very quiet. Nice hikes to the Marshall Point Lighthouse and Museum (must visit) and the osprey nest at the end of Horse Point Rd. near the old N.C. Wyeth place, can hike to swimming on sunny days at Drift Inn Beach. Social events a few evenings at the Barn Cafe, coffee and treats at Village Ice Cream (open until 8PM) and the Ocean House hotel and dining room, both less than a block away. Basic supplies at the temporary home of the general store in the Monhegan Boat gift shop, more treats at Squid Ink Coffee near the town landing, most other supplies can be bought in Tenants Harbor. We enjoyed using the bicycles for rides to many of these places. A nice comfortable stay!

Historic charm and great location
Beautiful historic house with modern kitchen. A little tight with 8 of us (4 adults and 4 kids), but made it work, in part because of the great outdoor space, furniture, large yard and fire pit, bikes for all ages. Very picturesque town, and short walk to pier and general store, and easy bike ride to beach, lighthouse and other sites. Had issues with internet (and hence the tv), but host was very responsive and got solved as quickly as possible. Would highly recommend.

Lovely stay
Perfect getaway town in July - boating, little ships and lobsters straight from the fisherman’s coop. Property is lovely, beautifully maintained and well-stocked as location is rather remote from big stores.

Beautiful home in quaint seaside village
We found the home in perfect condition and more lovely than photos express. There are several extras like a hair dryer, blankets, space heater, and many kitchen items : spices, oils, etc. The home is a short walk to the local general store and dock area. A gorgeous New England town. We took a ferry ride to Monhegan Island and actually got some sunburn! A beautiful island where you can walk everywhere. Marshall Point Lighthouse (Forest Gump) is a short drive away. Just lovely! You will love the large and roomy home. Thank you!

The Barn cafe is open and in walking distance. House has everything you need. Kayaks, bikes, fishing gear and a fire pit!! Can’t wait to go back

great place to stay in the quaint village of Port Clyde
The house was wonderful. it had all the amenities that we needed. The only downside was the only bathroom was downstairs which is no problem as long as you do not get up several times a night to use the bathroom. Otherwise it was great. Very clean, nicely furnished.

Outstanding Property
We had an amazing stay at Charlie and Nicole's home. The décor was lovely. Also very kid friendly. It had everything we needed and more. They left supplies for cooking (for example extra virgin olive oil which I had forgotten, lobster pots..-we ate 18 lobsters in a 48 hour period}. They left explicit advice for a good time to be had by all in Port Clyde area. The trip to Monhegan Island was a highlight and not to be missed. The (Forest Gump ) lighthouse was walking distance as was the docks and truly fantastic General Store. They have the best blueberry coffee ever at only 1.35 a cup. Delicious! Everybody is friendly and waves when they drive by. It is close to Rockport and Camden. What a truly outstanding, amazing experience!!!! Fondly, Tom and Linda Ryan and family

Port Clyde Family Reunion
Eight family members stayed in the Port Clyde Village House for our family reunion based nearby off Horse Point Road. The location was perfect and we could easily walk back and forth from the main house. The house was very comfortable for our group and we had everything we needed. It was great having the ceiling and window fans, as it was very hot that week. We appreciated the proximity to Drift Inn Beach where we went to cool off many days. The kitchen was well-equipped and we had everything we needed. The house is recently renovated and everything is fresh and clean. The wood floors are beautiful and the house is charmingly decorated. We will consider renting again in the future.

Great location!
Very clean and recently updated place. Looks nicer than on pictures. We spent there an amazing week, despite a rainy weather. Kids rode bikes to the dock and the beach. Most importantly the ice cream place is 3 minutes walk from the house:) If you want to escape from it all, this is the place! Nicole and Charlie thank you for sharing your place with us!

Great house in a wonderful village. Loved our time there.
We stayed a week in Port Clyde and fell in love. From the time we booked our vacation with Charlie and Nicole, they were helpful with advice on travel to Port Clyde and activities for our teenagers. The house was perfect. It was beautiful and spotless and just the right distance from anything we wanted to do. We spent time at the dock in the ice cream shop, the General Store, Dip Net, and Squid Ink Coffee Shop. We rented paddle boards for the beach that is just a short walk away. Port Clyde is surrounded with other cute towns for shopping and sightseeing. We hope to return and will book again with Charlie and Nicole in this gorgeous home.

Charming house in perfect coastal village!
My wife and I stayed for 10 days in this wonderful home in historic Port Clyde. We came to Maine to enjoy the natural beauty and calm and Charlie and Nicole's property was perfect. The house itself is historic, renovated with an eye on maintaining its charm and character while providing a modern and updated bath and kitchen. Small back yard was perfect for grilling and sitting around the firepit making smores. Quick walk down to the waterfront for coffee at SquidInk, perusing the Wythe art gallery, dinner at Dipnet restaurant, or for the dock for the ferry to Monhegan / offshore Puffin cruise. The location is perfect for midcoast day trips, with my wife and I traveling the area from Acadia down to Freeport during our stay.
Charlie and Nicole were very easy to communicate with and were quick to respond to any questions we had.
We would highly recommend for anyone looking for an authentic Maine getaway. We look forward to coming back in the years ahead.
