Great location. The hostel is really in the best location, close to many interesting streets/sights/markets and the metro. It always felt safe to walk around, even at night. Staff are friendly. Great suite of activities all week. Easy to meet people but not super loud. They were kind to allow early check in.
The traffic whistles early in the morning may wake up anyone but the soundest sleepers. I also found my private room a bit dark—it would have been great to have some kind of night reading light. Instead the lighting for the room was too dim at night. It also took a long time to resolve with the restaurant that my reservation included breakfast, and I had to shuttle between the reception and the restaurant multiple times since they seemed to have difficulty communicating with each other. I found this a bit frustrating but it probably won’t happen to most people.

My favorite aspect of the hostel was how well they did at offering events that foster community. For parties, there were plenty of opportunities to go out, and to enjoy the day, there were high-quality walking tours every day. And the volunteers played a huge role in this aspect. I especially had a great experience with one volunteer named Axl, who brought groups together to experience the city’s nightlife, try new foods, see new areas, and make connections that enriched our experiences in the city. It’s people like him that make Casa Pepe an experience worth repeating! Also, the rooftop bar is a very convenient way to have fun and make friends and get food if needed. And the location is nice too, Centro is sometimes a bit busy and loud but has a lot of character and a lot of things to do. Also very safe, at least throughout the day.
There were occasionally some issues with lack of hot water and toilets not working properly. Thankfully, there are a lot of bathrooms available throughout the hostel so I was always able to find at least one that I could use. This was also my first experience staying in a hostel so I’m not entirely sure how it compares to others.

I loved the various group activities that were organized by the hostel. The rooms were also comfortable and there was a lot of good places to see around the property
There should be AC/fans in the rooms as it gets very hot during the day especially in the summers.

Is a very nice old building. Is central but the neighborhood doesn’t offer much to do during the nights. Also the team doesn’t know much about the neighborhood, they literally sent me to a very dangerous and really not fun at all street to have a beer. Literally I felt in fear and I’m Latino. I know how to manage the is situations and environment.
A little cold, toilets no always clean

The staff and the tours, also a great place to meet people. They have a nice rooftop
My first room was the very clean so I changed it. Also I think it’s a bit overpriced for what it is.

I have been stayed at Casa Pepe several times. The location is excellent and the vibe is great. They offer many activities and have a decent co-working space.
Well this stay surprised me. The dorm was cramped. The common shared bathrooms were disgusting. They got cleaned once a day and by the evening were just horrible. The shampoo, body wash and paper towels were empty and not refilled. I miss having a free breakfast ( you now pay for it and it's half of what it used to be). They do not stop people from bringing food into the dorms or smoking in the bathrooms. The shared work area is also where people eat- hard to do a Zoom call and be professional when the person next to you is chewing. Also they should add some office space or phone booth rooms that one can have a call in without all the loud noise or distractions. I was in a female dorm with 6 beds - my bed was sagging - a new mattress is needed. There were 3 of us in the dorm and on the last night 2 more girls came - they were in their bunks with their bags and food. They left in the early morning. The one girl that was in the top bunk above them noticed bed bugs - one on her sheet and one on the wall. Since the 3 of us had been there for a couple days and none of us had bites we figured it came from the new 2 girls. When she went and reported it - she was told to pick another bunk bed and that someone would come and clean the room - it was really brushed off as no big deal. The staff did not come to us and say "hey take your stuff out because we are going to spray the room". I was surprised at the response and lack of concern. I think the hostel is not as nice as it once was and that it is not run efficiently. It used to one of my favourite places to stay but now I think I will have to look for an alternative place.

The location of the property at Calle Uruguay it’s really a privilege. Not only for the near by well known places such as el Zocalo, also, the convenience stores. The rooms are really comfortable and the breakfast delicious.

Que la gente que se hospeda llega tarde de la fiesta y te despiertan. Deberían tener un horario establecido por respeto a los demás huéspedes más cuando se trata de un hostal

The other guests was friendly and fun to hangout with. The staff made an effort to remember the names of their guests which were super impressive. Over all I really like the hostel the admosphere and staff is great. The staff are very intensional with their customer inclusiveness so it's easy to hangout and made friends.
There were no air-conditioning or fan's to cool the room off during night time or day time and it was hot. If not for this my stay would have been perfect.

The common areas are cozy and comfortable. The free walking tour and pub-crawl were well organized and fun.
The breakfast and other food on the rooftop is not very good or worth the money considering all the options you have in walking distance of the hostel.
The queensize bed was very squeaky.

Socialable hostel in the middle of the city. Multiple organised activities every day. Nice rooftop bar with a beer + margarita power hour. Special thanks to Tim for making everyone feel welcome.
Mosquito nets for the windows would be a nice improvement. There aren't a lot of mosquitos. I just really hate them.
