The location in Kirkwall was quiet and had easy access to the centre of Kirkwall. The private parking was easy to use and convenient. There was an efficient heating system and the kitchen was well enough stocked for us to be able to cook our own meals if we wanted to. Louise, the owner had left us some milk and food, which was very thoughtful and much appreciated.
Nothing. Personally I would have slept better with softer pillows, but that's a purely personal thing. Not everyone in our group felt the same!

Location was excellent close to downtown Kirkwall but on the outskirts of town, quiet, with safe parking, and easy access to the many amazing sights of Orkney. The house was very well appointed throughout with everything that one could possibly need.
There was absolutely nothing to complain about, thank you!
4.5
The cottage had been very thoughtfully kitted out for visitors and had everything we needed.
It was immaculate and very comfortable
It was a bit of a walk into the centre of Kirkwall for a visitor without a car

Location was on the outskirts of the town. But it was an easy walk to the town centre, and it was very easy to drive to destinations without entering centre.
Well laid out and comfortable house. Off street parking. Internet was very good. Finally, communication with Louise was excellent.
Beds are small for 2 people. Luckily there are 2 bedrooms. Bath towels could be larger.
4.5
Easy walk into town, comfortable and very well equipped

Clean, well-equipped and comfortable. Good location on the edge of Kirkwall giving easy access to other parts of the island but just a short ten minute walk into Kirkwall itself. Two minute drive to supermarkets!

Ease of access and property on ground level. Great communication from owner.

The property was immaculate, had everything you could possibly need and was in a great location.
Nothing, everything was ideal.
4.5
Everything we needed for our stay. Easy walking distance to the centre of Kirkwall, and access to roads across the island. Handy off-street parking.
Would have been helpful to know the bin dates so we could put them out for emptying.

Beds were extremely comfortable. Having a washing machine was a bonus. Extremely clean throughout.
Shower tray could have non slip mat.

We liked the proximity to the beach and the town center. The property was a super size for us, extremely clean and was the perfect base for exploring the Island with two young children. In addition, we liked that there was lots of storage in the house, perfect for storing our belongings to ensure we were well equipped for all four seasons in one day :)

immaculate, central, well equipped

The location was excellent. It was in Kirkwall but in a quiet area with parking at the door. The cottage was modern and clean. I liked having the keys in a locked box as we arrived late at night.
Not a complaint but a teapot would have been handy

All clean, everything's there, parking easy, not too far from town and the distilleries and great communication with Louise. We'll be back :)

Great communication and instructions from owner. House was very clean, warm and comfortable. Had everything that we could possibly need with essentials left which was a special touch. Beds very comfortable too. I would highly recommend this property.
Nothing that we didn’t like.

Everything was provided for with instructions left in the Kitchen.
The rooms did not have their own heating.

Not included but owner kindly left some items for breakfast at our request on the understanding we would pay for them.
The following would have been helpful:
- hook on the back of the bathroom door
- small chair(s) in the bedrooms to place clothing. Otherwise couple of hooks on back of the doors
- second small side table with lamp in one of the bedrooms (the other had two)
4.5
It has a parking place in front of the house. Wifi works well. It has everything needed to cook. Located in a quiet neighborhood.
It is too far from downtown: 15 to 20 minutes walk and to return you go upwards since the house is on a high part of the town. Its heating systems are not enough to provide a warm temperature thoughout the house. The shower cabin is too small; a large or fat person suffers a lot in there. Bath towels are too small.
4.5
clean and modern and fully fitted with everything we could possibly need!
easy walking distance to town and quiet.
nothing!

Loved arriving back at the house after long days out exploring. Very comfortable seating and beds. Easy to walk into town and down to the beach. All the locals were lovely. Good communications with Louise.
Nothing to not like.
