Altes Fachwerkhaus mit viel Ambiente

Großes Zimmer direkt unter dem Dach. Man braucht ein wenig Fitness denn es gibt keinen Aufzug. Sehr nettes Personal. Ruhig gelegen aber ein wenig dunkel. Frühstück war reichhaltig. Es ist ein wirklich tolles Haus mit Fachwerk. Für das Abendessen gibt es viele gemütliche Ecken und Sitzgelegenheiten.

Frühstückspreis ein wenig hoch. Frühstück war zwar reichhaltig, aber in anderen Hotels wäre es günstiger.

Empfehlenswert

Hatten ruhiges Zimmer ganz oben. Einziger Störfaktor war die Wohnung nebenan (Anbau und kein Teil des Hotelbetriebes), in dem die Bewohner mit offenem Fenster bis mind. Mittelnacht laut waren.

Historisches Hotel in absolut zentraler Lage mit außergewöhnlichem Frühstück

Die Lage war perfekt zentral, das Ambiente wirklich außergewöhnlich und ein extrem gutes Frühstück.

Das einzige Überraschende war, dass man wirklich vorher anrufen muss, wann man kommt, sonst steht man tagsüber vor verschlossener Tür und wundert sich. Hatte die Info dazu bei Booking.com. überlesen.

Herrlich!!!

Was für ein wundervolles Hotel. Mitten im Zentrum gelegen, nur wenige Schritte davon entfernt. Wundervolles, stilvolles Haus. Personal freundlich, kompetent und hilfsbereit. Frühstück gegen angemessenen Aufpreis und.... ein Traum. Leider kein Parkplatz am Haus vorhanden, bei der zentralen Lage findet sich aber immer in unmittelbarer Nähe ein Parkhaus/-platz Danke für ALLES !!!!

Schönes, altes Gebäude mit sehr individuell eingerichteten, großen Zimmern

Tolles altes Gebäude, individuell und nett eingerichtete große Zimmer. Ideale Lage, um die Stadt zu erkunden. Sehr gutes Frühstück.

Parkplatz leider nicht vorhanden, jedoch in 5 Minuten ist ein Parkhaus erreichbar.

An excellent surprise.

The breakfast was really above and beyond - I can highly recommend this hotel for guests and colleagues visiting your business. The staff was very professional. My only regret was not being able to stay very long due to train delay problems making me arrive very late, but it was worth the visit. The price is a bit on the expensive side but in my opinion the service is worth the value.

Gemütlichkeit und Atmosphäre im historischen Gemäuer aus dem 16 Jh.

die ruhige Lage des Hauses und speziell des gebuchten Zimmers ist ideal, um Erholung zu erlangen. Die Gasthauseinrichtung ist urig, gemütlich, und hinter jeder Ecke öffnet sich ein neuer Blickwinkel. Diese Verwinkelung führt über Treppen bis ins zweite Stockwerk zu den Zimmern hoch. Das Zimmer (Nr. 4) ist mit einem Himmelbett ausgestattet, das Fachwerkgebälk entlang der weiß tapezierten Wände und die Holztüren im Zimmer vermitteln Wärme und Behaglichkeit. Die kleinen, aber zahlreichen Fenster zum Innenhof des Hauses komplettieren den Eindruck eines spätmittelalterlichen Baues. Das helle Bad ist zweckmäßig und ausreichend geräumig mit Dusche, WC und Waschbecken ausgestattet...vielleicht ist die Dusche etwas klein.

Die Bettmatratze war für meine Frau zu hart gewesen, sie hat in den zwei Nächten nicht gut geschlafen, laboriert aber ohnehin an leichten Rückenschmerzen.

It was near-perfect. (If you judge this stay by the price, it was utterly perfect.) Being a tourist having an immense experience at countless places, I can undoubtedly recommend this lovely hotel for everyone. And if I visit Jena (or any nearby city) again, Haus im Sack will definitely be my preference.

cute house in the city center, excellent price for money, excellent breakfast, warm welcome. the nearest garage is Holzmarkt passage garage, grietgasse, 07743 Jena, Allemagne. very convenient !

Day-trip to Jena to visit a friend.

OK, strap yourselves in. This will be a long one. Remember the following: it transpired I was the only guest in the hotel that night (25 April). Got in, checked in, was given my key to room 1, a lovely suite-like room with quintessential German half-timbering. Bed was comfortable, linens were warm, room was warm, shower was powerful and a constantly good temperature, everything pretty much as you'd expect from a hotel that does its work with some pride. At this point, I didn't realise I was the only guest. But this is when the fun starts. Woke up to take breakfast not long after the initial start at 7:30. One table had been prepared with a grand array of food. A small dressed salad, a bowl of fresh fruit, a cheese platter, three fresh bread rolls, various cold cuts, a large jug of freshly brewed coffee, a flagon of orange juice, some different spreads such as marmalade, honey and Nutella, cereals, muesli, and the bread even came with a serrated knife for ease of cutting. Milk was there for the coffee, all seasonings... everything. And I was the only guest in the hotel. They just did not cut any corners even with just one guest. I don't think I can think of a clearer example of excellent hospitality in all my travels in fifteen different countries than this (and counting). Chapeau! Weiter so!

Unfortunately the WiFi is extremely patchy at best. I have been told they are looking to remedy this as an urgent matter and believe them, and if they get that sorted, this place would be absolutely perfect for both business and leisure guests. Still heartily recommend this place, just leave your computer at home or find a nearby café for work.

Very good

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel does not have an elevator and my room was located up quite a few flight of stairs. The staff very kindly helped me carry my (very heavy!) suitcase to the top. The room itself was lovely and spacious. Well heated and clean. The location is very convenient to access everything in the city and is also nice a quiet at night.

The WiFi did not reach the room (I stayed on the top floor) and even if a signal was obtained did not work well. The bed was slightly uncomfortable.
